If we trade him, I want players. I don't want draft picks. This team is built to win now. I don't wanna take a shot on some hot-shot rookie when we can win now.
The NBA is different than the NFL when it comes to the draft. Either players, or draft picks we can dangle in someone's face before the trade deadline to get players.

Heck, if LeBron does leave next year, wouldn't Kyrie be first fiddle? LOL exactly. which means kyrie doesn't believe lebron is going anywhere, and he's probably fed up for whatever reason. i mean i get it, dude signed the max extension thinking he was gonna be the man, then got blind sided with bron coming back to the land. I kinda wonder if he didn't already know that Lebron was coming back and that's why he signed.i'll miss kyrie's elite handles and finish at the paint. if he does get traded, what i won't miss is the constant iso ball, low assist numbers, bad defense and overall selfish play. he was a shooting guard with the title of point guard. ricky rubio was averaging more assist per game.

I have no idea about the trade machine stuff, but I see Minnesota as one of the teams.
What about Kyrie for KAT? Would that work?
You can even throw in Rubio and someone like Shump or Frye.
I'd take KAT in a heartbeat!!!!

There is this from an earlier article in this thread: However, Irving has not excelled when playing without James. Last season, the Cavs were outscored by 90 points in 574 minutes when Irving played and James didn't. In the playoffs, they were outscored by 30 points in 61 minutes. In the NBA Finals against the Golden State Warriors, the Cavs were outscored 37-13 when Irving was on the court and James was off. at Kyrie.

those numbers are appalling. I said throughout the season, Kyrie is an amazing ISO player but a horrible team guy, Fun to watch but from a true PG role, easily replaceable. Compounded with his defense I'd be curious what the net points he scored to what he gave up was. I think its silly to ask for a trade from a team that won a ring and been to 3 straight finals. But if the Drose thing happens, not too big of a loss, Plus if we get a haul of players for him all the better. However this shakes out, this has to be a HAUL of players and picks, more players than picks. You're talking a top 10 player. And by haul of players, none of those include carmelo...thats not a fair trade...maybe porzingas as one of the players

He and Jimmy butler are trying to get Kyrie to MINN...don't think he realizes someone big going to have to be dealt...But Butler, Kyrie, KAT, Wiggins, Gibson. Pretty formidable team

You have to get Wiggins or KAT back if you send Kyrie to Minn. No if, ands, or buts about it.

How about Kyrie and Frye for KAT and Teague? If kyrie doesn't want to be in Cleveland, I'd make that trade, but that team isn't beating the warriors. I think I actually like Melo and Bledsoe as a better return if the goal is to beat the Warriors.

What? Melo is so overrated. KAT is going to soon be one of the very best players in the game even if he isn't already. Shoot............he is straight up better than Melo right now. And it ain't close.

Heck, if LeBron does leave next year, wouldn't Kyrie be first fiddle? LOL In Cleveland.

Maybe I'm over thinking it.
Plus, I'm not a Teague fan at all.

How about Kyrie and Frye for KAT and Teague? Why would the T'Wolves ever do that? Also, Teague can't be traded until December 15th as he just signed as a free agent.

Teague's alright. I had him as a throw-in because he can start at the point, but KAT was the main cat.
Then again, I don't know how to do the trade machine thing. I asked, but no one has responded.

I've wondered about that, but then why would Minnesota be on his destination list? Does he hate Gilbert? What does he have against Cleveland?
Not one outlet is reporting that angle, which I do find surprising. Usually Cleveland gets bashed somehow.

I've wondered about that, but then why would Minnesota be on his destination list? Does he hate Gilbert? What does he have against Cleveland? Gilbert is a mess. If it weren't for LeBron he'd be considered one of the worst owners in the league. Minnesota is in a great situation. They have two studs (Towns and Butler) and one guy with loads of potential (Wiggins). They also have a Tom Thibodeau, who is one of the best coaches in the league and I've heard most players love him from their time with Team USA. Miami and New York he would want to go to for obvious reasons. San Antonio is also obvious but for different reasons.

Yet, you don't say anything similar about Haslam and the Browns.

Kyrie can't be dumb enough to believe if he gets traded to Minn that he's joining all of those guys. Wiggins or KAT are coming back this way. If it's KAT, that would be a devastating blow to Minn, even if they are adding Kyrie.

He is 22 in November, has two years left on his rookie deal, and just averaged 25/12.

Coulda had Eric Bledsoe and Paul Geogre...... Horrible timing. All the free agents are gone. All the big time trades have been made. If I had to guess, I'd say he sticks it out one more year and then the Cavs blow it up if LeBron leaves.

I've heard some people say we might try to get Demarcus Cousins .. problem is, he's not a good "fit" to play against GS
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."
