- You have a President and GOP congress railing against it and making already nervous insurance companies even more unsure if they want to participate.
- You have leadership that is purely political and doesn't care about the little guy at all, so they willingly sabotage health care by not enforcing the individual mandate, pass bills to defund bits and pieces, and work against it for eight years instead of trying to fix it's shortcomings!
Obama has even said that the ACA is far from perfect, but it's better than what we had. Also I think it's hilarious that the GOP and especially Trump keep blaming the dems when they control the WH, both houses of congress, and have a conservative slanted Supreme Court!
The fact is that Republicans have no one but themselves to blame. They are a fractured broken party.
Your Dems are the dummies for approving ObamaCare and dropping that boondoggle in the Republicans lap.
Now you want the Republicans to develop a Medical Welfare Program!
Republicans don't do Welfare!
Nope. They won't do welfare for the poor, they do plenty of welfare for the rich and corporations. They are so corrupt that they can't get out of their own way to lead the country! And the fools that vote for them out of hate, bigotry, stinginess, self righteousness, and lack of education are the reason we find ourselves here.
I'm NOT saying all republican voters fall into those categories because the majority don't and are just conservative minded. However, the GOP fringe that has developed over the last few decades are running the show and are fully responsible for this President and this debacle!
Until they or a family member become sick, or a parent needs to go into a nursing home. Then watch them
No, I was saying the Republicans in Washington are not the people to set up a welfare program. The Dems do that stuff, the Republicans fight to limit their damage to the nation.
Everybody cries about every plan the Republicans come up with while ObamaCare collapses under its own weight. Propping up Ocare only sends billions to the insurance companies and does not help the people anyway.
I must have missed something. I thought O care was the law, and will continue to be, as the republicans can't even come up with something to replace it that they can agree on.
Did I miss a news cycle?
Actually they all can. It was just Trump spouting off as usual when he doesn't have the power to stop them.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.
It must be hard for you to make up your mind since Trump has gone from repeal and replace, repeal only and repeal and replace again in just the past couple of days.
I wish he would make up his mind so you know what to say.

It must be hard for you to see that Trump doesn't have much to do with what passes the House and Senate. He can only push those in charge to pass something, anything.
You will have more "Trump Bad" ammo when he finally signs something.
Publicly threatening to undermine the re-election of a senator in an attempt to get him to vote for a bill is low. Defaming Comey, Sessions and threatening a special prosecutor investigating you in Muller in public is just disgraceful.
You don't see any of this. I believe he was talking about people like you when he said he could shoot someone in the middle of 9th Avenue and not lose your vote. Somehow you would blame the victim.
The moderate Republicans I actually respect on this board see some of the problems. They aren't so closed minded that they can't see how degraded and disrespected that Trump is making to office of president to be.
You're a lost cause. Blinded by what you wish to label as loyalty. Maybe it's time you start to be loyal to your country instead of Trump.

Boo Hoo, stay out of the grownup talk if it bothers you so.
What about the wide swath in Americans who want to keep the base of the ACA, and have Dems and GOP to work together on a better option?
Didn't you read that barely anyone wants a flat out repeal without a replacement?
Yes I read it and I also know that only Clinton and Obama ran the country from what the polls had to say. That ain't leadership!
I believe former Senator and Secretary of State Daniel Webster said the federal government was "made for the people, made by the people, and answerable to the people", and Lincoln later made a similar comment during the Gettysburg Address. Even Gorsuch referred to it, I belive in his Senate confirmation hearings. If polls represent people, then maybe they were doing their jobs correctly...
And running a country from what the 1%, PACs, and Super PACs say is leadership?

You talking bout the same polls that had Hillary in a landslide? Nah, lost credibility.
I remember looking at MSN awhile back and they had a Trump poll everyday about something and lo and behold everytime I checked the results they said that Trump was in a favorable position. Well guess what, after about 3 days of these polls, they decided to change up the questions about Trump, now they came in as un-favorable. Talk about fudging the polls What the media is doing is they didn't think Trump would grade out as well as he did so they had to fudge the numbers to support their views, same thing they did on the election. All had Trump losing big time Lie Lie Lie as always.

I said nothing about election polls. And should I take it that by not answering my question, you do believe running a country from what the 1%, PACs, and Super PACs say is leadership?
1) Price caps and regulations to control costs. And [censored] off special intrest groups/lobbiests/industry and lose that under the table money.
Or
2) Pass some half ass healthcare plan that throws Americans under the bus and does nothing to address costs. And get GOP voted out at all levels the next election cycle.
What's crazy is if they passed #1, they would have almost unbreakable job security, as there would be *rightfully no reason to vote them out just in that issue alone.
But #2 is more likely because those campaign accounts aren't gonna fill themselves.
“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”
Motion to Proceed on Health Care Debate Passes Senate.
Yes, proceed ... Trumpcare=Repeal with no replacement to be named until after the mid term elections. A brilliant piece of gerrymandering. Good job.
How is that "gerrymandering"?
I wish our government would be more straightforward in their dealings.. but the Democrats did stuff like this for 8 years with recess appointments they knew they could never get approved and such.. so whatever, the swamp lives on.
