I've been having issues with the COPD, pollen season and all. But I'm pretty good. I've lost interest in the fighting too, but still can't believe all the BS EVERY WEEK. I wonder what normal feels like most days. lol

I was just watching a discussion about Trumps immigration policy and it seems the much criticized policy of throwing out the illegals and bringing in people who can speak English and already have good skills is going to be a boon to our economy.

We certainly have enough people in this Country who can't speak English well and who have zero skills to fill those needs but now we will be bringing in immigrants who are ready to go to work on day one in our higher paying industries and in Tech.

The cuts to Welfare paid out to those who flooded across our borders in the past will also save America a bundle.

George Foreman praises Trump, slams Colin Kaepernick and Kevin Durant

The world's most famous grill maker just grilled two of today's most famous athletes.

George Foreman took down Colin Kaepernick and Kevin Durant on a podcast Monday, saying neither the football nor basketball star is patriotic.
Foreman, 68, spoke out on the "Offended America" podcast, offering that those who refuse to stand for the national anthem, like Kaepernick, are just looking for attention.

“I love the United States," Foreman said. "They [Kevin Durant and Colin Kaepernick] haven’t been brought up with people who were patriotic.”

He added, “A lot of people died so that they can have that privilege.”

Kevin Durant spoke out recently saying he would not go to the White House if the NBA champion Golden State Warriors are invited.
"I don't respect who's in office right now," he said.

Foreman said all athletes during his heyday were appreciative of the privileges to which they had been born.

“We came in the era we were patriotic. The greatest day of my life was when I put on the colors, representing the United States,” he said, referencing his time competing in the Olympics.

The former boxer also said during the podcast that he credits Trump for helping him out of his bankruptcy by sponsoring a Pay-Per-View fight in 1991.

Foreman said Trump is “a good president.”

After watching Trump in Phoenix last night I can confirm that he is by far his own worst enemy.

This morning I'm seeing reports that he and McConnell have not spoke for over two weeks and had a cursing blow out over the phone.

Trump want to pardon Joe Arpaio, it will hurt him but he will do it I think.

Trump trying to rewrite history on what he has said and been criticized for in regards to Charlottesville and other things. I think he really believes the lies he creates in his reality. Is this an illness?

McConnell is privately stating that Trump can't save his presidency, I have no idea what that means. Is it the investigations? Is it the adversarial treatment of the GOP? Does he know something we don't?

He attacked Jeff Flake and John McCain again last night, in their State! Alienating republicans is NOT going to help him with his agenda.

Hate crimes in US on the rise

Just two days after a white nationalist rally in Virginia turned deadly, a 17-year-old vandal in Boston allegedly hurled a rock through one of the panels at the New England Holocaust Memorial – shattering the glass and raising concerns of more violent hate crimes in the wake of the chaos in Charlottesville.

Both officials in Boston and civil rights advocates said that an investigation needs to be completed, but this is the second time this summer that a glass panel at the memorial has been vandalized and comes as minority groups are reporting a sharp uptick in hate crimes across the country.

The Anti-Defamation League noted that anti-Semitic incidents in the U.S. jumped 86 percent in the first quarter of 2017 compared to same period last year. Other minority groups, from the Latinos and Asians to Muslims and the LGBT community, have also reported a spike in hate crimes directed at them over the last year and a half.

“The threat is not over,” Jonathan A. Greenblatt, the CEO of the Anti-Defamation League said in a statement. “The hate groups are feeling emboldened and are already organizing a number of other rallies.”

While the reasons that hate crimes are on the rise is debatable, what is not is that white nationalist and white supremacist groups have recently become more encouraged and more public in their views.

“They are in a stronger position than they have been in decades,” Steven Hahn, a Pulitzer Prize winning historian at New York University, told Fox News. “The feel energized by Charlottesville and by the presidential election last year. I think we are in for an extended period of incidents like we saw in Virginia.”

Hahn noted that while endemic racism and hate crimes are nothing new in the United States, the growth in far right groups like Vanguard America, Identity Evropa and the League of the South really started to pick up steam following the election of Barack Obama in 2008.

Obama’s presidency paired with the emergence the “Black Lives Matter” movement, the increasing diversification of the country and a decline in blue collar careers left some white Americans feeling marginalized and became prime fodder for the white nationalist movement, he said. The number of hate groups as designated by the Southern Poverty Law Center topped 1,000 for the first time ever in 2011 and while that number of groups dropped to 912 last year that likely understates the growing level of white nationalists in the country.

“It’s like in the 1920s with the Ku Klux Klan,” Hahn said. “What was striking was not that number of KKK members but the number of people who were allies of the group. Today the number of white nationalists don’t actually reveal the range of people who also sympathize with them.”

Experts and civil rights advocates contend that the campaign and subsequent election of Donald Trump only further vitalized these groups as the president’s call for stricter immigration controls and a ban on Muslim’s entering the country resonated with white nationalists.

Corey Saylor, the director of the department to monitor and combat Islamophobia at CAIR, said that while the U.S. Muslim community saw spikes in hate crimes following the terror attacks in Paris and San Bernardino, his organization has noticed an unprecedented spike in incidents since the start of 2017. CAIR recently reported a 91 percent jump in hate crimes directed at Muslims for the second quarter of 2017 compared to the same period in 2016.

“In the time we have taken statistics, this is largest jump we have ever seen,” Saylor said. “Trump creates an atmosphere of anger and people feel emboldened to go out to commit these crimes without repercussions.”

Trump did condemn white supremacist groups – declaring “racism is evil” – but only after two days of public equivocation and internal White House debate that infuriated many citizens and lawmakers on both sides of the aisle.

The heads of the black, Hispanic, Asian and progressive caucuses are calling in a letter for the firings of White House staff aides Steve Bannon, Stephen Miller and Sebastian Gorka. The letter asserts their continuing presence in the White House is emboldening a resurgent white supremacist movement in America.

Despite the widespread condemnation of white nationalist groups, however, experts contend that their influence and the subsequent hate crimes will never disappear in the U.S.

“At this particular moment in the U.S., the white nationalist right see the green light and see the election in 2016 as a sign that they are on the rise,” Hahn said. “People who think this is going to fade away have no sense of American history.”

Infrastructure Advisers Quit, Say Trump’s Actions Threaten Homeland Security

WASHINGTON ― Another White House council has taken a hit after President Donald Trump’s controversial response to a deadly white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia. Seven members of the National Infrastructure Advisory Council, which includes Obama appointees, resigned this week, citing Trump’s Charlottesville response and other issues.

“Your actions have threatened the security of the homeland I took an oath to protect,” the resigning members wrote in a letter sent Monday and obtained by HuffPost. They referenced the Aug. 15 press conference about infrastructure reform in which Trump suggested the “alt-left” was also guilty of instigating violence in Charlottesville.

“You failed to denounce the intolerance and violence of hate groups,” the letter read.

The resigning members include Cristin Dorgelo, former chief of staff at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy under President Barack Obama; DJ Patil, former White House chief data scientist; and Christy Goldfuss, former managing director at the White House Council on Environmental Quality. All three confirmed to HuffPost that they had resigned.

Daniel Tangherlini, a former administrator of the General Services Administration, was also among those who resigned, CQ Roll Call confirmed on Wednesday. Seven total people resigned, according to Dorgelo and Goldfuss.

A White House spokesperson did not respond to HuffPost’s request for comment. But a White House statement published by Reuters on Tuesday said “We can confirm that a number of members of the [council] who had been appointed under the previous administration have submitted their resignation.”

The National Infrastructure Advisory Council is made up of presidential appointees from the private sector, academia and government, and was originally founded in 2001 under then-President George W. Bush. It advises the president on security, including cybersecurity, for critical infrastructure like water systems. There are now only 20 members listed on the council’s website, down from 27 earlier today.

The Trump administration has not shown itself to be “adequately attentive to the pressing national security matters within the NIAC’s purview, or responsive to sound advice,” the resigning council members wrote.

They also said the president has “given insufficient attention to the growing threats to the cybersecurity of the critical systems upon which all Americans depend, including those impacting the systems supporting our democratic election process.”

This is only the latest White House council to lose members in the wake of Trump’s Charlottesville response. Multiple high-profile business leaders on two White House advisory boards resigned to protest his remarks, prompting Trump to officially disband the councils. Every member of the White House arts committee resigned. Trump ended plans for another advisory council on infrastructure last week.

A science envoy for the State Department also sent a resignation letter to Trump on Wednesday that contained a not-so-subtle secret message: “IMPEACH.”
