Yeah. Me and the MLB.com announcers wondered what that was about too.

You know what though.

The Tigers in the previous series with the Indians just looked pathetic.

They definitely looked liked they wished the season could end now.

I felt sorry for the city of Detroit.

I mean more than usual.

Danny Salazar comes off the DL and starts tomorrow night.

Imagine if he's anywhere near 100%.

Bauer did him a favor. He can schedule a nice vacation for post-season after today's elimination, right?

Go someplace nice, drink heavily, and watch the Tribe! Dream vacation. LOLetc.

Just something to think about .....

We think about a guy like Jose Ramirez as a vastly improved hitter, with rapidly developing power, and that's right.

Let's look at the team overall:

Encarnacion has 32 HR. Bruce has 33 overall. Who's next? Santana? No. Ramirez? No. How about Frankie Lindor. Yep, the guy with the glove and great speed ... the guy who can handle the bat well .... he's almost certainly going to be a 30 HR man this year. (he has 26 now) Frankie is 2nd on the team in doubles, 2nd in number of hits, and 4th in RBI. Jose is just behind him in a lot of those categories. Man, I am excited to think about how these 2 guys are going to do as they continue to develop.

Let me add that Ramirez has played a nice second base when I have had a chance to watch .

Bullpen picked up the slack after Salazar couldn't get out of the first inning.

Greg Allen with a big, two-out, two-RBI, double and a great catch in center.

Jose Ramirez is on fire.

13 in a row!!

Bullpen game. Here's hoping the starters can ease that usage over the next few days.

Wow, 13 in a row. Houston had to be thinking the East #1 seed was a lock about 2 weeks ago.

I like the odds on the starters going deep the next couple games with Carrasco and Kluber on the mound the next two days, respectively.

He's gotten better as the night has gone on. He oughta be able to finish the game. The White Sox have been shooting themselves in the foot in new and creative ways all night.

Ugggh! And there goes the shut-out. He had a two-hit near-perfect game going until the last batter in the 9th.

Gets the last guy though. 14 straight wins in back-to-back years!! Last team to do that was the Cubs during the Great Depression.

Outstanding performance by Carrasco. Felt bad that he gave up the dinger w/ two out to Adam Engel of all people. Cookie faced one more than the minimum. Very impressive!

Sanatana has been swinging a hot bat as of late.

14 in a row!

Indians 23-4 since August 11, lead in AL Central from 3.5 games to 11 games. Rotation 20-3, 2.49.

Not only would the Indians win a franchise record 15 straight tomorrow, they'd sweep an 11-game road trip with back-to-back doubleheaders.

I saw Naquin was back in the lineup yesterday along with Chisenhall. I didn't realize how deep we are in the outfield now. Sure we don't have a guy like Mike Trout or Giancarlo Staton, but we're 3-deep for every spot with guys that could start for other clubs:

Jay Bruce, Chisenhall, and Michael Brantly are a solid starting lineup.

Guyer, Almonte, Jackson are really good plug and play, situational guys depending on the pitchers.

Zimmer, Allen, Naquin are a good, solid, up and coming set of young guys.

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

The Indians have the best run differential in baseball as of this morning (thanks to the Dodgers losing again). Maybe that doesn't mean much, but I think it's an important indicator of a teams overall strength.

Also, somebody tell Houston we're trying to take over the best record in the AL. Get with the program.

The Indians also have the 3rd best defense (tied with KC) in the MLB and the second best team era behind the Dodgers.

Ummmmm..... Can we have the real Corey Kluber back now? I can't remember the last time I saw him give up two runs in an inning, let alone the first...

Well, in his defense, he got 4 runs of support in the first from our bats. I'm sure he was confused and disoriented.

He seemed to have wakened up a bit. 10 strikeouts in 5 innings with less than 70 pitches. But, yeah, he probably was confused with that much run support that soon. They usually wait until the 8th or 9th to help him out.

So, when was the last time the Indians swept back-to-back 4-game road series?

The Indians are in the midst of one of the greatest stretches in baseball history. Enjoy it!

Just amazing.

Incomprehensible.

Last year, Cleveland sets their consecutive games won record.

Most games won in-a-row in 114 years.

Then beats it this year.

This is incomprehensible.

It could have just as easily been another 114 years (the year 2131).

I remember laying in bed listening to Indians night games on a crappy light transistor radio in ~ 1968.

Year after year I listened and hoped. Sam McDowell, Sonny Siebert, Jose Cardinal, Tony Horton, Larry Brown

Still no World Series Championships in my life time (last one 1948).

The Hardest Part Remains.

Good luck Tribe. Good luck Cleveland!

crazy to think we've done this with all the injuries we've had.. While a guy like Miller for sure isn't replaceable long term..i think this spells the end for Kipnis. Our infield has been lights out, both in the field and at the plate.

I have been in love with baseball most of my life. Played and coached for many years. Seen many wonderful things.

The Tribe was my first team. My father was a big fan during the 40's.

I lived in Atlanta from 1978 till 2015 and the Braves were my National League team. Winning 14 consecutive divisions titles. Glavine, Maddux and Smoltz. I was torn in 1995.

Last year was unreal for the Tribe.

But I have never seen a team play any better than this years Indians over the last 6 or 7 weeks.

This team has it all. Now the Tribe is playing to see what players will play in the playoffs. They are so deep in talent. So good in every facet of the game.

The best team does not always win the World Series but I have to say I fear no team.

They have a great chance to win it all.

Right now at this very moment, Francona is thinking about October.

He's thinking about what moves to make to give the Tribe the best possible chances of winning play-off series.

He did an absolutely spectacular job last October with his #2 & #3 Starters out of the post-season. (Salazar & Carrasco)

He's carefully putting the pieces together.

He's carefully evaluating Clevinger, Bauer, Salazar, Merritt.

He’s looking to see if Salazar can return to his June 2016 AL Pitcher of the Month form.

That’s right. There’s luck too.

As Ty Cobb once said to a reporter who said “You got lucky.”

“I make my own luck.”
