After MG, Ogunjobi is easily my favorite pick from last year. Love his story and he proved to be a baller.

I think Ogun is going to be a stud player in the league.

Our DLine got almost zero pressure on the QB. They are very overrated by most on this board.

Only negative I saw was they were all just too young. As they gain experience they will exceed their reputation.

Shelton was the senior member and just in his 3rd season.
Ogbah who was our best DL last year prior to his injury was just in his 2nd season. Corey a surprise I think was a rookie???
and Larry along with Caleb Rookies. Nassib 2nd year player.

Vers that meant a lot the lack of experience but they will grow together and definitely will be a force and remember also those who were in their 2nd or 3rd year it was their first in the 4-3 DL and under coach Williams.

I think the Harvard boys did a good job there and we will benefit from it soon of course hoping this is a good turn around year in many ways. One will be the DL.

I don't think they suck. I just think that people overrate them on this board.

I think it is really important to have a DL that can get pressure on the QB w/out resorting to blitzing all the time. Teams like Philly, Houston [when healthy,] Carolina, Vikings, etc generate a lot of pressure on the QB and it allows their LBers and secondary guys to cover.

I agree. He's going to be a perennial pro bowler.

Got it but time will tell. All and I mean "ALL"
being young and inexperienced in a new Defense. I think people were asking to see too much of them. They did fine individually I thought and soon enough will make that leap forward from "OK"
which I think together as a unit that is all they were OK.
They should prove to live up to their expectations this year.

jmho - but I get it and agree they were ok...over rated is too strong for me as I don't think anyone has put into account the youth involved. As a unit in the 2nd year of our Defense...we should see a bit more.

tab, I don't think we are disagreeing.

When I said "overrated," I was referring to posters on this board who say things like we have the best DL in the league, or a top 3 DL or even a top 5 DL. And we just had a poster say that Ogunjobi was going to be a perennial Pro Bowler. LOL...he isn't even a full-time starter on our DL yet.

So, you and I aren't really disagreeing. I like the unit. It's young and has a chance to grow into a pretty good line. Should be fun to watch.

Vers...you get too caught up in other posters.
Do yourself a favor as it will drive yourself nuts. Just stick to the football and things will fall in place.

As usual we see the same things. Just don't get caught up in grading other posters. Just let them know the football and the rest will fall in place. We are fans...we get excited as fans its ok to over rate players. We do that with everything Brown.
Its ok, don't let it bother you and drive yourself crazy.

Lets keep it pure football wink

I like Ogunjobi. He has flashed at times and should improve in his 2nd season.

I think that injuries were a huge difficulty last year. Garrett started out hurt, and never really recovered to 100%, Then we lost Ogbah. Shelton was hurt.

I would not be opposed to adding a pass rushing DE with our 2nd or 3rd 2nd rounder, or our 3rd .... but I think that we have quality on the DL, and they just need to gel.

Keep in mind Williams D is akin to the 46 D of the Bears fame. Larry fits right in there. He will only get better if you ask me.

Sorry, replying to BPG, fat fingers.

Experience probably. We may see their roles flip flop this year.

On that note...

Ogunjobi played 28.18% of the snaps on defense and had a PFF grade of 82.0

Coley played 61.42% of the snaps on defense and had a PFF grade of 68.9

Snap Counts

Ogunjobi PFF Grade 2017

Coley PFF Grade 2017

Evan Silva was on 92.3 and mentioned Ogunjobi as the one player he would not trade from the Browns. Called him the one untouchable on the Browns roster.
