There were Black folks carrying White folks and White folks carrying Black folks while Hispanic folks pitched in too!

Republicans carried Democrats and vice versa.
Trump supporters carried Hillary folks to safety while Hillary folks carried and gave fresh water to Trump supporters!

Now the Libs and the Right, the Brave and the Lily Livered are sending cash and supplies from all over the Country to help them folks survive and recover!

Open your eyes! We fight among ourselves until someone or something comes killing us from the outside, then God help them cuz we Americans fight them together!

We fought and clawed our way across this wilderness from the beginning, back then it was only Blacks and Whites and trees, and turned it into the shining light it can be and is. It is in the American DNA to fight and claw and when nobody wants to mess with us, we mess with us.

So why do we seem to need this day-to-day sniping among ourselves... when ALL OF US can see how stupidly tribal and counterproductive partisan behavior like this is?

Somehow or other we've been conditioned to react the way we've seen the debate go on the news channels, probably started with Crossfire on CNN in days gone by.

During all that time the pundits on all channels have reduced our view of our neighbors and their view of ourselves into something that can be explained in a sound bite and nothing could be further from the truth.

Before Romney lost, I listened to Beck and Limbaugh every day. Couple days after that I pretty much stopped for about two years and when I came back to it I only listened to Beck as he seemed to be the only one that tried to keep some objectivity on Trump. Even Limbaugh was on the band wagon so I barely tuned in.

I suggest we turn off the news, go out and look at the sky, notice that it's still there, hasn't fallen and get on with our lives.

Yet you continue to whine about it like you are have some say in the matter. You don't. Go scold some school kids like you've done for most of your life because we don't care.

No, back then Americans were Blacks and Whites. Latino's were part of Mexico, as was Texas. Portuguese and Spanish were not Americans, nor were the Dutch at that time. We had not yet made the Louisiana Purchase bringing others into the fold.

But, to say that native Americans didn't value private property is ingenious, and deceptive. Remember, well before the "white man" came, native Americans were warring with each other over land.

The idea was ideal, but human nature is a powerful force.

I just know that there's no excuse for lying to them and breaking every treaty we made with them. There was nothing Christian about any of that.

Also, the Native Americans had 10's of Thousands of years to build their population to a couple million people who lived to be 35 if they were lucky.

In just a couple of hundred years we have built out population to 300+ million people, living into their 80's.

And what does that have to do with breaking all of the treaties we signed with them?
