I like JR off the bench as a high energy guy.

He doesn't play well generally when he has too many responsibilities.

I also don't know how I feel about all this "Cousins at the Trade Deadline" talk.

The idea of adding a new starting PG and C halfway thru the season worries me.

Plus I'd rather keep Brooklyns pick. Because even if LeBron stays, we can draft a new "kid" for him to not mentor. But then actually take over for him when he's done.

CLEVELAND -- Dwyane Wade, a 12-time All-Star guard and three-time NBA champion, signed his one-year, $2.3 million contract with the Cavaliers Wednesday.

Wade officially cleared waivers at 5 p.m. and was to sign immediately thereafter, a source said, which was when the Cavs were scheduled to hold their second practice of the day.

Wade, 35, averaged 18.3 points last season for the Chicago Bulls, who are rebuilding and paid him about $16 million to buy him out of his $23.8 million contract.

Wade is close friends with LeBron James, with whom he won two championships in four seasons with the Heat. He has career averages of 23.3 points, 5.7 assists, and 4.8 rebounds and is entering his 15th season. He played 13 years with the Heat and one with the Bulls.

Wade's contract with the Cavs is for the veteran's minimum. The team will have to trade or waive someone by the start of the season because of Wade's presence, and cut rookie JaCorey Williams Wednesday to make room for Wade on the 20-man roster for training camp.

Well, it's the Cavs 3rd HOFamer in this era.

Lebron
Shaq
Wade

Let's hope Wade's tenure isn't as bad as Shaq's.

I'm not sure how Wade helps the Cavs beat the Warriors, but having him on the Cavs should be fun for the regular season.

It's weird, I probably have talked about the family 5 times my whole life, and just said the same thing about her yesterday

CLEVELAND (AP) - LeBron James turned his left ankle during practice Wednesday night, his first workout with newly signed teammate Dwyane Wade.

A Cavaliers spokesman said James had X-rays, which were negative. The three-time NBA champion didn't practice Thursday so he could undergo treatment. He's expected to be day to day.

The severity of James' injury is not known.

James has been reunited with Wade, his former teammate in Miami. They won two NBA championships together with the Heat and are excited about chasing a third with the Cavs. Wade turned down offers from other teams and signed a one-year, $2.3 million contract - the veteran's minimum - for a chance to play with his close friend.

Wade also didn't practice Thursday so he could attend to a personal matter. The 12-time All-Star will be introduced by the Cavs on Friday following practice.

Wade and LeBron's offseason trainer just flew into Cleveland, from Miami, today. He also trains Swish, now that I think of it.

You know part of me wouldn’t mind seeing lebron sit for a week or two to start the season, let everyone figure out what they can do without him, then when he comes back, you can rest him more this season without sacrificing wins

$350M: What team that became the OKC Thunder was purchased for in 2006.

$233M: What Russell Westbrook is owed over the next six seasons.

Good for him, the OKC fans, the team and the league. I didn't want to see him moving to LA.

With the NFL and CTE, the NBA is going to continue to grow.

But the team is probably worth $1.5-2B right now. The league has exploded. Heck, the Clippers were sold for $2B!

you have to imagine the Cavs value is at its highest right now. If LBJ leaves, it plummets IMO

LeBron James is the Cavs. If he leaves they are screwed (both on and off the court).

Probably at least. He'd ask Gilbert for a joint bank account.

The other part is Lebron's doing. He took less to go play with Wade and Bosh for four years in Miami. And then left Bird-rights on the table to go to Cleveland. Melo has taken max deals. Had Lebron stuck with the Cavs and taken max extensions, he'd be a lot closer to Dirk.
