Of all the coaches I think we should have held on to, Mangini is it. Would probably still be here and we'd be winning.

He actually did the same thing with the team...he cut it down to the studs although he mixed in some vets. But you could actually see the coaching job he did. The team was disciplined and played competitively. Hue is the exact opposite. Hue is only going to be successful with talent. He's not out coaching anyone.

I say the Mangini thing with total hindsight because I probably wanted him fired at the time. But once that fat piece of crap Holmgren was brought in the party was over.

Agree we have to stay the course this time. The only variable I think could be in play here is if the team decides to start over at QB and draft one next year. Your rebuild doesn't start until you have a QB you are going to commit to. If they go in a different direction than Kizer I could see the rationale for putting new people in those positions.

LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

A lot of people's predictions, as brutal as they were - still didn't reflect how bad we lost.

And there are people that want to stick with Hue because of some 3-5 year plan. Give me a break!!!!

We absolutely SHOULD stick with Hue. And Sashi. And Podesta.

Anyone that expected a huge turnaround this season is a complete fool and not operating in reality.

Whomever it was that got regularly abused by TY Hilton - look for him to have another rough day this Sunday. As long as they don't hand us mistakes on a platter, they will march it down the field every drive.

On offense, we will be what we've seen so far.... disorganized, harried, and flash-in-a-pan. We'll have our moments; enough of them to keep us on the verge of believing, but not enough to overcome our mistakes, which will again be plentiful.

I barely watched any of this game, but I think I pretty much nailed it.

I think you nailed it too. We really need a good pass rush with the DB's that we have. Hopefully MG will make a difference. I feel the team really misses him. His injury was a real downer for all of us.

Believe me bro I was a big fan of Mangini, he did more with less than any coach I have ever seen.

People on the old board just couldn't see it. The team was in cap hell and no draft picks and no talent on top of all that but people only wanted to see one thing wins.

But I agree with most of what you said it shows your working through this sort of. Hue is a good coach the FO is in full sabotage mode sort of.

What they did was they set it up so if Kizer comes thru great if not we lose and get his replacement next year. I don't condemn the FO for setting it up that way, but I would object to anyone blaming Hue for losing when it was pre determined short of Kizer coming thru which was unlikely at least to begin with.

Like it or not their working a plan and they aren't backing away from it even a little bit..

I agree about Mangini. He had very little talent also but the guys we had played hard and with discipline. We ran the ball and the team was developing toughness. Then we brought in Holmgren who had a totally different philosophy. Oh well, it's old news.
