Why is it that I can watch Tampa Bay play New England.

But I can't watch an Indians playoff game.

Screw you FS1.

I have Fox Sports Ohio but not FS1 on my cable. Unbelievable that I can't watch my team's first round playoff games. What happened to broadcast network coverage of the MLB postseason?

Looks like Progressive is rocking. To me, the Tribe and Stros look like the best

They're playing games.

Tonight I'm OK but I'll miss tomorrow's game unless I drop $50 to MLB for one game.

It's horrible that there are people in Cleveland that can't watch this game at home.

I saw a couple pitches by Bauer that had some that Kluber motion on them.

Kind of like outside to a right-handed batter that drifts back into the strike-zone.

Regardless, Bauer now has the longest no-hit innings streak in Indians post-season history. (5 innings)

Team looking good, except Kipnis. Not sure why he made the roster, I would have rather kept a more skilled fielder and his bat has been garbage. Having Bruce and EE should prevent another Napoli type post season meltdown. The move to start Bauer game one making Tito look like he knows something no one else does. Glad he’s our skipper

I think Bauer could throw 150 pitches a game, his arm is rubber

7 innings from your starter? Yes please. So much different than what we dealt with last year

The nice thing is that Bruce also really wants to return to the Indians next year.

Great outing by Bauer. Just as good as anyone could have asked for. laugh

With attendance up this year, the Indians could recreate the mid to late 90s run with this squad

It certainly feels like the 90's team (though I was very young, I still remember the '95 WS and going to sold out games every year).

This team is just so much fun to watch play. Top to bottom. They look like theyhave so much fun.

Over the past 2 seasons, 16 postseason games, the Indians have thrown 6 shutouts. laugh

Smoltz can't get his nose out of the Yankees butts. IF, IF, IF. IF this guy gets hot look out! If this guy starts throwing better look out!

Bauer looked phenomenal ... and to me, this is a possible sweep coming up

Houston looks good however. I think that will be a fun series (with the Tribe winning with their starting pitching IMO)

I noticed this too.

Especially in the 2nd inning when the Indians had the bases loaded with no outs and only scored
one run.

“OH... Gray pitched brilliantly getting out of that.”

Yeah brilliant.

Brilliantly lucky.

Pitching briliant is what Bauer did for 6 2/3.

Sanchez deserves some "runs driven in" consideration. (for the opposition)

It's fun how he turns almost every lead-off walk or single into a triple after a half dozen more pitches.

He looks completely lost out there.

Technically the 4 extra bases the Indians got on pitching miscues last night were "wild pitches".

That's a lot when your catcher is giving up that many extra bases.

Each of those represents a base runner advancement.

But let's put it back in the trousers boys.

With the win last night, the Indians are now only ~75% likely to win the series.

Only went up from ~ 66% to 75%.

Kind of nice having aces coming-up.

That was a fun game to watch. I was hoping we would bunt more to move the runners, but it was still fun. I did like how we utilized the hit and run. It kept us out of what would have been an easy DP.

I was surprised Bauer started, but I haven't really followed the Tribe during the regular season. I also trust Tito. Dude's a genius.

I enjoy Smoltz as an announcer. He has a great understanding of how to pitch.

The thing I hate most about MLB & NBA is that I live in Cleveland and I cannot watch Cleveland teams on Cleveland television.

So, I have to wait for the World Series and NBA Finals to see my teams.

I deserve that.

When Tito said Bauer was starting like most I was wondering why Bauer.

However, when I listened to his comments it made perfect sense. Bauer was going to pitch. Do you pitch him the first game in Cleveland? Or do you pitch him the first game in NY? Bauer has been lights out at home and has pitched great for 5 or 6 starts. In addition he has been super tough against NY. Then you add the curveball which NY is going to have to hit or perish.

Tito also said Kipnis could play second with Ramirez at third. But also stated Kipnis has worked very hard at CF, is a good athlete and was drafted as a CF.

I bow to Tito.

If you look at what I said later; "the amount of data in a major league clubhouse is staggering." They coaches pour over these decisions. Planning is intense.

At the end of the day baseball is fun to discuss, ponder and argue over. But believe me I never assume to know more than the managers. What this team has accomplished this year is no accident. And Tito will be in the Hall: Deservedly.

Like I said, Just teasing. I wasn't such a fan of the idea of Kipnis in CF either. But man, that was a spectacular catch he made.

Smoltz is a super guy. I had a chance to talk to him about pitching at a Ga. Tech coaching clinic. He has always been very active in the community.

We had a kid on a team that was diagnosed with Hodgkin's. I told Joe Simpson's (former player and Braves announcer) about it. He got a hold of John and he got the boy a bat signed by the team.

John has always been cerebral about pitching. When he pitched for the Braves they made a big thing about him being consoled by a sports psychologist. But John is a card. Really funny. Knows a million corny jokes.
