If Bauer wasn't on short rest, I'd put him right in there over Tomlin.

Francona just announced Bauer is the starter tomorrow.

So one day early, he should be good.

Really, it's only one person doing that....and it's the same guy that complained, whined and predicted losses for the Cavs all the way to the championship in '16.

yeah tanaka was throwing that junk ball splitter and we just kept swinging for it, The ump didn't help having a different strike zone for each pitcher, hell sometimes for each batter..worst ump we've had so far

Tough loss yesterday.

I really don't watch baseball much anymore. Just the Tribe in the playoffs.

But, I find it disappointing that moving the runner is becoming a thing of the past. Man, there were times when I thought bunting would have been the smartest thing to do in such a close game. But, we just don't do it. I've always been a fan of what we used to call "small ball."

Nobody does it any more. We are in an age that is giving us, simultaneously, record home runs and record strike outs because nobody plays baseball the way I was taught to play it as a kid... 0-2 count? Don't choke up and try to put the ball in play.. continue to try to hit a home run. Down by 4 and need to start a rally? Don't try to get a single, try to hit a home run.

I think it is something baseball is going to have to deal with.. I saw a stat the other day that in 34% of all plate appearances this year, there only needed to be 3 guys on the field... more than 1/3 of all at-bats this year ended in strike out, walk, or home run... To me, that is not nearly as enjoyable to watch as good situational baseball..

Thanks. I assumed that was the case.

There were several examples, but just for example....I think Santana was on first w/no outs and Jackson came to the plate. I thought the situation screamed for a bunt, especially because I had little faith in Jackson dealing w/the nasty stuff of the pitcher.

I do think Tito utilized small ball more last year in the playoffs and it was a big part of our success.

Oh, and to be clear.........I am not bad-mouthing Tito. I just think bunting, hitting the opposite way, the hit and run, choking-up, steals, etc are good ways to get things started in games, especially close games where both pitchers are so dominant.

I was really surprised they didn't take the bat out of our hitters hands a little more, make them take a strike against Tanaka.. (another thing nobody does any more unless it's 3-0).. Jay Bruce was the most notable but we probably had more than a dozen hitters swing at the first pitch when it almost bounced on the plate. Santana was about our only hitter that had the discipline to not swing at that pitch.

Owner Paul Dolan dissed Chief Wahoo by saying we are fazing him out.

Wahoo's Revenge?

Now I will admit that I wear my Chief Wahoo hat inside out for rallies so I don't take this lightly.

Bauer falling behind a bit. Yankees laying off and making him throw strikes

I'm watching the game with the sound turned-off.

I can't stand the FS1 announcers who know where their bread is buttered and it ain't the Cleveland viewer market.

Not sure why Perez is in instead of Gomes . This is a must win and Gomes does everything better than Perez

well this is shaping up to be another Cleveland choke job..knocked out in the division series. Should have went with Tomlin or salazar. Our hitters need to remember you have to score too. I would rather had Diaz than Brantley active. Everything we did well during the season is gone, pitching, hitting and defense..come on Tito...fix this

if you let a team like NYY off the mat, they will knock you out..their offense is alot better then ours...its an uphill battle now against their BP

They’ve come back from a larger deficit once in this series already and the fat lady isn’t singing.

The announcers have basically anointed the Yankees series winners.

We were down 8-3 the other night. We need to be more patient at the plate and take what's given.

Judge was 0-11 with 9 strikeouts before he got that hit. You would think he was 11-11 with 11 grand slams. It's getting old.

Make that 1-13 with 10 strikeouts

Judge looks like a cartoon character.

Salazar could come in and really erase a season or so of extremely bad fortune. It'd be a great story!
