I listened to Abbot & Costello's Who's on first thing when it came on Pandora today for luck because they mention Bob Feller quite a bit...

Not lookin' good so far.

Kluber has zero command of his fastball for the 2nd game this series. He's being forced to throw curveball after curveball. Seriously might be time to go to the pen and think about someone like Carrasco to try to give you some length.

Thought it won't matter. The way we're hitting we're lucky to score.

I'm close to turning this crap off.

Tom Hamilton certainly has a bunch of interesting factoids to relate about the Yankee players. What I would like to tell him is "OMG, WHO THE HELL CARES!".

Well, I guess I can't really keep holding onto the belief that we will win this series. They have hit every pitcher we have put out there and we have yet to even make solid contact.

Sabathia is getting Every. Single. Call. He threw at least three pitches that inning that were obvious balls called strikes.

This team looks like the wildcard team. Can’t hit or pitch. Miller throwing ton of pitches

I'm about done with umps behind the plate. Let technology take over, no need for pitches that bad to be called strikes.

The more I think about it - if MLB wants to make the games more exciting for casual fans (I have always loved baseball and find it very fun to watch) technology would be great to call balls/strikes. Hitters would know the strike zone as it would be consistently called. It's BS when pitches that outside are called strikes. Just awful.

Speculating, but there is no reason they can't do it.

They basically already do it with the TV broadcasts, and they've had similar technology so that umpires could be rated during the game. But I don't think MLB wants to give up that "discrepancy", otherwise they won't be able to get New York/LA World Series like they want to. tongue

I know some people have dogged the announcers, but I think these two guys are outstanding. The play by play game offers a lot of good stats and Smoltz understands how to pitch to batters than anyone I have ever heard. I don't like homer broadcasting [except for Austin Carr...LMAO] and I am really enjoying listening to these two guys.

It was, my daughter and I just spent 5 minutes going over what scenarios got that guy into that situation, how many people he had to 'practice' on to finally figure out how to escape...
