However, the sanctions that congress has passed has not been implemented by trump. This is a problem.

Trump is mind-achingly dumb, and has the fortitude of a 6 year old wetting themselves during a Big Chuck & Little John horror marathon. He's clearly suffering from dementia, has no idea what he's doing (but more importantly can't be bothered to learn), and surrounds himself with spineless sycophants and simpletons. Beyond that he's completely immoral and lacking in empathy. All he cares about is filling his empty soul, which is poked with enough holes that it all just spills out, anyway.

But if he angers the opposition, mission accomplished, the seals will clap.

I really didn't mean to put Diam down, but what is the point of only talking with people you totally agree with? Where is the discussion there? Where is the comparison between two differing opinions?

To me, only discussing things with people who agree with you 100% is nothing more than one big circle jerk.

It's how they roll. It's how the republicans try to govern. They stand up on capital hill in their circle jerks trying to spin last nights tweet into a shiny turd, while the majority country is waiting for leadership and direction to no avail. The beat goes on. Nothing getting done.

Pit brought up an excellent point, but if you can't see that both Republicans and Democrats by and large are guilty of it...well then I don't know what to tell you.

Echo chambers are a huge reason behind the political climate of our country today. There is very little dialogue between differing ideologies...very little constructive dialogue at least.

If a differing thought is presented against the group-think, it is met with a fierce amygdalic response, and treated like a threat...to the point where both sides are heaving pure nonsense at each other...to the point where we are today.

Trump certainly offers a lot of opportunity toward his opposition. Opportunity where factual information could be presented and he could be made to look like an absolute fool through a rational manner. Instead, we see responses that sink down to his level. The "Drip...drip...drip" responses, the Oompa Loompa references, etc. Emotions based in fear, anger, and resentment are unfortunately leading the directions in current time. Nothing good ever comes from that.

I do understand what you're saying, although I myself have tried here lately to engage in discussions with you here and you didn't respond in kind.

I made the point that there were three Gold star families in the headlines since Trump has been elected. One Muslim, who he attacked. One black who he's attacked and one white which he sent a check for 25k to after the man complained Trump hadn't kept his word for sending out that check.

You never addressed that and only poked fun at the fact I posted it. Every word of it is true. Now that doesn't hurt my feelings. I think you know by now that I'm a bit more thick skinned than that. I'm just saying that I did attempt a conversation about that.

But yes, I do know what you mean. I can't have an actual conversation with Eve or 40. They just spit out crap and never back any of it up. I can however have a conversation with Haus most of the time. So I understand what you mean about answering in kind.

As for 40, he does that as a way to protect his fragile ego and his imaginary importance to the white supremacist idol Covfefe Trump.

So if you want real dialog with 40, bring a stick to the discussion. The pain usually snaps him back to reality, then you can get a few words through his mental defenses before he scurries off to his hole.

i haven't had a completely direct convo with Pit since obama was president. since Trump got into office, it's hard to avoid the crapstorm the Don brings on a regular.

40 tends to be a hit or miss. some days he's cool, other days he's vambo, most days him and Diam are the same poster.

Pitt is cool. I like them all but 40 is my favorite target.

I’ve mentioned before the complete 180 he pulled in 2011. The guy wouldn’t shut up praising Hillary, then all of a sudden, he goes hard in the birther movement which ultimately launches his presidential aspirations.

I know people don’t agree with me, but this was a massive marketing job from someone who has successfully schemed his way to the top.

If he thought Hillary wasn’t running, I seriously think he would’ve attempted a run under the Democratic banner. But it was easy pickings on the GOP side.
