I think it may be over for Kizer.

I don't think Kessler is good or will ever be good, but we can easily run this gameplan with him and he won't turn the ball over.

I'm encouraged by our defense and the improved (!) play of the offense but that INT was horrendous. Still, we get the ball first and only 3 in it.

Higgins was open, but it would take a perfect pass to complete the ball. Kizer throws literally the worst pass.

Accuracy. The ball was there just way too high.

The thing is he's not going to show enough this season for us to bypass a QB in the draft.

It was the first time Tennessee didn't bring extra pass rushers,
therefore there were more numbers in the backfield to account for, and Kizer thought he had an open shot, that wasn't open.

it's more than clear, that that was the first play on most of that drive that Kizer had a pocket, and not only a pocket, he could have texted and drived from the pocket and still had time to throw.

Then there's no point in getting worked up over whether he improves or not. (not saying you're getting worked up)

But the only reason to even tune in this season is to watch Kizer's development. If it's moot, there literally is no point.

Can accuracy be taught?

Pretty solid first half in terms of actual football. We played well. Penalties have been the big issue on both offense and defense. Odd to have to mention that a team looks alright as long as they can get the damn play off without a whistle.

It was a really nice half from Kizer and the offense. A shame he ended it with a dreadful pass that got picked. He'd been really accurate and really quick with his decisions up until that point. It looked like he waited on the route a little too long which cost him stepping in to the throw.

Really like what I'm seeing from Duke Johnson, as usual. Unfortunate to have the drop on the final drive, but he's our best weapon for certain.

Defensively, my only real problem has been our inability to get pressure when blitzing. They've picked up the blitz too well. We've got to push through. Really nice play from BBC. Kirksey is playing really hard, too.

Need to get off to a fast start in the second half. It'll get away from us if we can't continue what we're doing. Need everyone to step things up on the discipline.

i'm serious with this: Kessler would give us the best chance to win. does it do anything for our future? NO. but he could win this game

At this point we're better off losing than winning.

Kessler would be the quarterback if we had a good enough play caller. Unfortunately we do not in Jackson.

It was worse than awful. It was horrendous. The kid was afraid to throw the ball.

Right. But he's not going to kill us with turnovers. All the QBs are bad.

Why'd the refs give the Titans 117 yards?

Kizer was fine until that pick. He needs to learn to have ice water in his veins when he gets to the redzone. Bad stuff happens otherwise.

If it weren't for one 50/50 knockdown by Jamar Taylor, with about 6+ minutes to go in the 2nd quarter, the team would be down 7 more points.

Over the seam, Walker was behind everybody, including Taylor.
