I think he will be back, but either way Thomas is simply awesome and a rare example of a true team guy. Endless years of losing and yet he is the consistent professional.

I think his story needs a better ending - here or elsewhere. Or his speech might be the shortest in the history of the HOF - "I played on a team that sucked. It sucked. Thank you everyone. did anyone see the tenn left tackle, lewan, run over to jt as he left the field?? he is probably the only player on our team who generates any kind of respect from opponents like joe does. I hate the thought of trying to plug that massive hole. I hope Drango is not our best option.

I worry that this is serious. Joe has played through some very painful injuries in the past. He's one tough S.O.B. I'm not sure when his current contract ends, but I'm sure he'll honor it. Nothing but mad respect and best wishes for the man. He's always been a class act on and off the field. You could never expect more from anyone you bring on your team.
And BTW- there were a few that advocated we trade Joe. For those few, I hope that yesterday gave you a glimpse of how things look when he's not on the field and understand the folly of thinking it would have been wise to trade the man.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

He has honored his contract. If he decides to retire for health reason, I am not going to look at him like he is a wimp or doing something dishonorable.
We wasted that guys career. When he goes in to the HOF, he will probably be the guy who played in the least winning NFL games in his career.
Looking it up, it looks like we rode Joe to 48 wins and 119 losses in his career.
Gale Sayers and Dick Butkus might be close...it's a shame. He is a top 3 LT of all time and we couldn't do a damn thing with him.
Now we enter the Spencer Drango era.
