It definitely gets the predictable disappointment out of the way early, allowing me enough time to save my Sunday.
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.
I am an early riser anyway to walk my dogs so, being up for a 6:30am game is fine for me. The good thing is that instead of a 1:00pm finish I will be done by 10am and have the rest of my day.
It'll be strange watching the Browns with coffee instead of a beer or 3. And by "strange" I mean "brutal".
That was funny, Dave, so I had to respond. Lol. It'll be weird watching them play on Sunday morning, although I did that a couple times when I lived on the west coast. Vinnie was our QB back then.
I wonder if we'll struggle without Joe Thomas? I am sure we will, but you know what? We will hound Keenum all day. I think we win this, 19-14.
Haven't watched the video but can tell you that Langhorne had a long catch and run TD. And the TE who caught the fake FG was Ron Middleton. If I'm not mistaken he had 2 TD catches that game. I was 14.
Yep. Got down big to Denver in the championship game. Bernie threw an incredible TD pass to Brennan on what was one of the greatest TD catches of all time. Looked like the Browns were going to mount a big comeback.
Bernies arm was basically in a sling. Amazing he could even throw at all.
And we still won the division that year and won our first round of the playoffs.
Nice vid and thanks for the memories, I do vividly remember watching that game with my Dad.
Last division title sadly. Little did I think at the time being a young teeny bopper at age 13 hitting puberty. That it would be our last division title and frustrated with a 3rd AFC Championship game loss to Denver in a 4 year span, and I would be sitting here at age 41 wishing to make it back to that point. I really sympathize and feel for the young fan base that is loyal right now.
of course staying up late is not always ideal, but I do enjoy having the "good" games start at 8 or 9 at night ... something about the feel of a primetime game. If the game started at 5 and ended at 9, there would be something weird about it to me
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

If you're from the east coast it's definitely a little strange the first time you experience it. But you acclimate quickly and it becomes one of the best things about living out west.
The good thing about the coffee or booze debate is that you don't have to pick one or the other. You can put them together.
Another game I'll happily spare my eyes from seeing.
I'm not trying to sound like a douche, but last Sunday was actually a lot better when I neglected to watch this football product. Went on a motorcycle ride with two buds and enjoyed the last little bit of warm OH weather.
This Sunday will be no different. Now you got to wake up early on your days off to watch us lose? Hahaha, thanks... but no thanks.

Agree. Although, I prefer hot chocolate with a heavy pour of Dr. McGillicuddy's Mentholmint liqueur. When it's below 32 degrees, all tailgates start with that.
“...Iguodala to Curry, back to Iguodala, up for the layup! Oh! Blocked by James! LeBron James with the rejection!”
I haven't watched a full game since week 2. I didn't watch last week, either.
My internet data remains precious up here. I get 100GB a month, and a single game blows throw 7GB of data. I'd rather use that data on Stranger Things season 2, and not deal with crappy looking football.
Move to the West Coast and games are on at 10AM every week.
Do you like it?
25-30 years ago I used to dream about getting out of work at 5:30 pm on a Monday that featured a Browns' Monday night game starting at 6 pm
I was stationed in Tucson in the mid 80's and I thought it was great. The games were over early and you had the rest of the day to do stuff. Also it was great to watch the games with the rest of guys in the barracks.
I remember the first time I watched a game in CA. By the start of the second game, Raiders were at Home, most people in the bar were hammered and a fight broke out before 1/2 time! I was back at the Hotel Beach by 3 PM.....LOL!
I have to thank them for getting the London Game. I didn't have NFL Network on my TV Package. Called to get it activated and they played w/ the Bonuses and Package Discounts and ended up saving me 30 dollars a month!
