I got higher cost healthcare because Obamacare - once 2018 comes around though, and your obstructionist losers all get voted out, as they have been in droves, we will finally get some financial relief from the nightmare BHO caused us all.

Trump and the GOP officially owns the ACA.

I think the 401K is a bad idea to cap, Trump said he wouldn't touch it, then said he might. I tend to believe he shows being wishy washy on it because he doesn't want people to know his real feelings and use it as leverage. You may argue that its because hes an idiot - too each their own Or it's called hedging, which Hillary was famous for. Some people call it flip flopping. Trump will be adding this to the tax code. The Republicans in the senate and house and scrambling to find a way to create more revenue for the government, to pay for these tax breaks.

This is hilarious. For seven years your party tried to repeal Obamacare. When Trump ran he claimed they had a plan. He claimed he wouldn't touch Medicare. Trump promised you that Obamacare would be repealed immediately. They hold the majority in the House, the Senate and control the White House. They LIED to you! They stabbed you in the back and all you can do is continue to blame Obama. Do you even hear yourself?

In fairness, Obamacare was a lie as well. Affordable Care Act was a misnomer too.
It wasn't and isn't "affordable". Premiums and deductibles continued and do continue to sky rocket. And the answer under the ACA was to force people to buy overpriced insurance, and for those that couldn't, they got gov't. money.
Health care in this country is out of control. I understand that. But for people to taut the ACA as "good", or even "semi good" is just dumb.
You can probably list off 5-10 people you know that benefited from it. I could list hundreds that now pay more in premiums, and have as much as $8000 individual deductibles as a result of it.

You peak at other countries and tell me how they would afford to defend themselves if someone decided they wanted their land.
We spend for that and we spend to protect them too. Must Be Nice!

Oh I certainly won't go to bat for Obamacare. It has more holes in it than Swiss cheese. Where I disagree with many is about the trends of increasing premiums and rising deductibles being some new thing under Obamacare.
That was going on long before Obamacare was enacted. It's one of the main reasons that people wanted a new healthcare measure. And the thing is, I'm usually one for bipartisan negotiations and compromise. In this case however, it was the worst thing that could be done.
As long as healthcare providers and the pharmaceutical industry are running the show and remain unfettered with drug pricing, we all lose.
While I know you disagree with social medicine and I won't debate that point with you, there's one thing I think you'll have to admit. As of now, our government subsidizes the pharmaceutical industry with 320 billion dollars a year in research grants.
There's no excuse for tax payers to be paying that bill while at the very same time paying more for prescription drugs than any other nation in the world. The rest of the free world negotiates and takes bids on their drug prices. Even our own military does this.
There's no excuse why our nation doesn't follow suit. While I'm not pointing the finger at you per say, many claim that's a socialist idea. If that's true, our military is following this socialist guideline. Some say that this goes against the free market system. Yet I thought competitive bidding and competition was one of the very foundations of the free market system.
Obamacare has lots of problems and was constructed poorly. The problem is it seems that after seven years to devise a plan, the GOP hasn't been able to come up with something better.

Give me more choices of healthcare and give me healthcare through an employer.
I don't want the government telling me how long I must wait to see a doctor! I don't want the government telling me how long I must wait to get a procedure!
I don't want to watch my baby die because the government says no we don't cover that illness, while other nations say bring the kid here, we have a treatment for that! Then the government ties you up in court until it is too late for the treatments to work! This just happened with that family in England.
No Thanks!

What cracks me up is the insurance companies do the exact same thing you claim to worry about. They deny paying for procedures all the time. You seem to claim that you know more about how social medicine works than the posters on this very board who live in places like Canada.
You roll on with your love for the insurance companies and the pharmaceutical industry. They're costing you a fortune.

What I find absurd is the Left's refusal to see that President Trump has got the Markets and the Economy humming right now. You misspelled Yellen. It's Y-E-L-L-E-N, and she's not the president. Also, the economy hasn't changed a lick, it's the same as it was under Obama - good if you have money, bad if you don't. He won a stare down fight with North Korea, made NATO pay up, is crushing ISIS among other things. This is all babbling hyperbole. He's made the North Korea situation worse with his dementia-addled crybaby rants. He is following - to a T - Obama's military plan for ISIS (which is a bad one). This is easiest to notice when something goes wrong - he will immediately claim it was "the generals" plan, and that he had nothing to do with it. And who, exactly is "paying up"? And - this is a dead serious question - how do you suppose a man who doesn't know what health care is will bring the country "great health care"? "As they get something, it gets tougher. Because politically, you can't give it away. So preexisting conditions are a tough deal. Because you are basically saying from the moment the insurance, you're 21 years old, you start working and you're paying $12 a year for insurance, and by the time you're 70, you get a nice plan. Here's something where you walk up and say, "I want my insurance." It's a very tough deal, but it is something that we're doing a good job of."He is so dumb, he thinks it's life insurance. Please explain how you think this man will provide "great health care".

As always, utterly baffling (yet somehow expected) to see the dumbest figure in American zeitgeist since perhaps Ryan Lochte being credited with having a plan of action, let alone successful ones.

Take a look at any chart. This "explosion" is something you're parroting because you heard it on FOX or AM radio.

This is good and I give Trump credit. I only hope it's not a bubble that will burst if the tax reform dies like healthcare did.

I think if tax reform dies, so goes the market. My guess would be 40% decline.
I have been withdrawing profits and putting them in Treasures, gradually.

The median ("median" means average) growth rate is 3.2%, and has been for quite some time. This only supports the fact that the economy has not changed in any drastic capacity. What are the job openings? App-based independent contractor gigs that are meant for supplemental income. Obama got to quote the same numbers and pat himself on the back. Once again, this only supports the fact that the economy has not changed in any drastic capacity. The economy is no different than it was under Obama - good if you have money, bad if you don't. Get this weak stuff out of here, 40.

I was looking at this us government census clock today and just couldn't believe that we add a new foreign migrant every 33 seconds! WHAT? Check it out: https://www.census.gov/popclock/ This is a .gov website! We gain a net of one person every 14 seconds in this country! That's an issue imho. More people need to die, faster. or Leave. lol
