If the Browns front office dumps (cut) Gordon without giving him a chance on the field, I think it will seal the fate of our front office

Goodell probably thought the fan base needed some good news considering the tragic QB news/events of the last two years....
Just my $0.02 I too was thinking this move was a sympathy gesture for the botched trade and subsequent failed appeal, maybe even for the last 18 years. So meh... I will not hold my breath or call this "good news". Anywhoos. Back do doing productive things on Sunday until there is a reason to not watch weekly train wrecks.
Einstein could not even fathom the mathematical improbabilities of the Browns woes.

I was pretty sure The Rog would reinstate JG after the Uninterrupted interview. He was very grateful for his previous experiences with RG and it didn't come off as a$$ kissing. Josh has (hopefully) hit rock bottom and seems like he wants to keep this demon in his rear view mirror. If he succeeds, I believe he already has a built in mechanism that can make him better than all WRs regardless of skill-set and physical attributes. I know an addict. I was his mentor and father figure. He was close to killing himself when we finally got him real help. He's 10 years sober, an amazing father, husband and musician. I get chocked up when I mention him because we're lucky he's here at all. He was encouraged to pour himself into something he loved. He doesn't go anywhere without a guitar. When he comes up north for a visit he finds an open mic night, sometimes in the middle of nowhere and goes to perform. If Josh Gordon embraces football the way Troy has music - he'll have his bust in the HOF. Uninterrupted... comments about RG start at 9:00 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=90YP4ntJUQs

I guess we'll now see what direction the Browns intend to go with Josh.. Keep him, Trade him (not now of course), Cut him.
Whatever happens, I don't like seeing a young man with that much talent just waste it. I wish him well regardless of what happens next.

Everybody deserves a 2nd, second chance I guess. I hope I'm wrong but I have a really hard time getting behind Josh and his comeback here. Hope he turns into Chris Carter 2.0. Time will tell. Good luck Josh.

At this point it "don't cost nothing" to keep him around for the season. See what, if anything, he's made of now. Then we can either move on or plan on him for the future. The Team is an official dumpster fire for this season anyway. It could very well be the only way we get a decent WR to continue to evaluate Kizer for a while.
One thing for sure. I'd never plan on building a team around Josh Gordon. He's OK to have around but you have to plan on losing him again. No sense in tying any kind of money up in him quite yet.

You cant get much for a trade - 5th round maybe at best. the trade value vs. the upside of his talent is not worth to trade him. keep him, if he screws up hes out the league, if he balls out that's a very big bonus. no risk no reward. at this point the reward is worth the risk.
You can cut josh - but why would they have done that already? seems dumb to me to stand with him all this time, just to cut him now.
keep him - this is most logical option. we get the possibility he can still play at a high level, if he screws up, well - we have gone so far without him, whats it going to matter? without him we cant win a game. with him we may......but its not like him getting in trouble is going to destroy our sb chances, might as well give the fans something to look forward to on Sunday.

see the other post I just made. I think its stupid to cut him at this point. If they would have cut before I would have been fine with it, but you have nothing to lose literally by keeping him now. the risk/reward is too great on the reward side IMO

Well it wasn't 30, but he torched him lol hell yea he did lol Should of said Talib gave up on the 30. Look at the kid fly man. Stiff arm to get just a few inches of separation, then his speed to torch him the rest of the way. One on one with JG, that's what you get. Screw it, keep him and play him. Nothing he does will bring anymore dark and etc here to what has already unfolded.

...Isn't it past the trade deadline? Seems like our options are only cut him or keep him for now. Cut him and get nothing. Keep him and maybe get something. Might as well see where he is at. It doesn't seem like rocket science. As bad as our receivers/the season/the organization have been, what do we have to lose?

Keep him if he is keepable; play him for tape and see what is in there. If he balls out and stays clean, great. Replace Britt immediately. Work his tail off. No interviews until we win.

I hope we see him play. He wanted to be reinstated for that reason I assume. He could be a huge difference maker - if he’s like the guy he was on the field. I just hope he gets his life straight for good and if so good on him.

I find it funny that people want to cut/trade the only legit WR we've had since forever. He's cheap, we have noone else. This is all Win/Win if he finally has it figured out. We hurt nothing by keeping

I don't see a lot of people wanting to cut him. Who are they?
I do see a lot of giddiness about him coming back.
For the record: I don't think we should cut him. We can't trade him because the trade deadline was the other day. I just don't trust Gordon to stay clean and act professionally.
I think the last thing the Browns should do is to count on him and not address the WR unit this off-season.

Giving him time to practice with the team I think its the 28th that we can add him to our active roster. We will have him for our last 4 games in December or is it 5???
We ain't winning any division or getting in the playoffs we will have him for next season.

People saying don't count on him and trade him now since we can't count on him etc. I get the not trusting, but he's done all the right things this year, it takes longer for some for it to click. I don't think you ignore the position in offseason either, I'm just saying you have a top 5 receiver on a rookie contract for 2 more years..it hurts nothing to keep him. Win/Win, get another #1 next year. Josh pans out, you have a elite wr corps, he doesn't then you still have a number 1 to build around

Thats not JG at all, by all accounts when he was in the building he was great, its when he's away from the team left to his own devices he has issues.

Greg Little is in Josh Gordon's entourage. It means very little, but I just thought I'd share the info.

I hope the most of you are right. I doubt it but I hope so. The kid hasn't taken a snap in over two years. He's always said the right thing while he was doing the wrong thing. At some point you have to consider that a pattern.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

What's the over/under on how long he goes before the next suspension? I don't believe he will be, at all, for the rest of his career.

That's a long term contract. Damn, the dude better stay sober and ball out, or we're screwed again. It's a gamble but the Browns FO put their bet on the table a few years ago, & we just won't pick it up...we'll let it ride.

Rodger only gave him to us to screw us out of the #1 overall pick. He wants to make sure the 49ers get it and create that return to Joe Montana level of greatness so they can have huge ratings as dallas and the 49ers duke it out for real again.
