Last year Goff looked like the proverbial "deer in the headlights."
He looks better. A year makes a big difference if you have tools, work hard, have some talent around you, and learn fast. You get better.
Kizer hopefully will follow. This off season "the talent around him part" has to improve. We could sure use an upgrade at running back and receivers.
We have FA money and serious draft capital.
Sashi and company need to score big.

Agreed. It is way too early to be doing this, but here are some guys that as of now, I'd like to get 2 (or 3) of come draft day 2018 (assuming Kizer is the guy at QB). Alphabetical order, not preferential order.
Arden Key, DE, LSU Calvin Ridley, WR, Alabama Cameron Smith, MLB, USC Connor Williams, OT, Texas Deontay Burnett, WR, USC Derwin James, S, FSU James Washington, WR, Oklahoma State Minkah Fitzpatrick, CB, Alabama Orlando Brown, OT, Oklahoma Saquon Barkley, RB, Penn State

I'll be real, I don't care who it is - I'd just like a QB I can trust to make plays when needed and etc.

He looks better. A year makes a big difference if you have tools, work hard, have some talent around you, and learn fast. You get better. That's because he didn't play until week 10 last year. That's the magic number that everybody should follow.. don't start week 1.. don't sit the whole year.. the key to guaranteeing success is to start them in week 10... We've ruined Kizer already.

For what it's worth, Goff was reportedly the guy the Browns, Sashi and Hue, liked best out of last year's draft.

And to think your Wentz Warriors had it all wrong.
At DT, context and meaning are a scarecrow kicking at moving goalposts.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

The point is simple: Have patience.
The quarterback position is a heavy load. Lot of things have to come together in order to have success.
Goff struggled early so do most.
This not about Wentz or Goff. That boat has sailed.
Kizer is in a tough spot. But is not time to give up on him or Hue. Recognize where the Browns are at this point in time.

And to think your Wentz Warriors had it all wrong. I've never been as impressed with Wentz as I was with Goff Thursday night. Kid looked legit...not just big and strong...but outright legit. There is a lot to like about Wentz...but I'd rather have what we got for him than having just him.

I think Wentz is going to end up being the far superior QB. I thought Goff looked improved, but I don't get the gushing. He had a lot of easy throws, some that were sketchy but completed, and he continuously threw while walking backyards. He was elevated by the fact he was playing the 9ers defense which is pretty bad.
To me, Wentz looks the part much more. Could be wrong. Time will tell.
I think it was a huge mistake passing on Wentz. Another by product of changing regimes and approaches and basically just starting over.
I think Hue probably screwed the FO on this as well as it was written that he wanted Goff. They were probably relying on Hue to make this choice.
I feel bad for Sashi.

I feel bad for Sashi. I think your right and it applies to Kiser so far as well. Wentz looked a LOT better in his first two starts than Kiser has and we would have won both our first 2 games with Wentz here. Hue talks about Kiser being so young and not a lot of experience yet but if I remember right everyone was saying the same thing about Wentz coming out.. Tribinsky would look better right now as well. Live and learn.. Kiser may very well end up being better long term but for now we took what was left over to add picks. If Kiser takes 3 years to become average then we made a huge mistake yet again.

It'll be interesting to see how this plays out ... Goff looks like a completely different player over three games ... small sample size but the initial results are night and day from last year ... I'm really looking forward to watching Goff, Wentz, Kizer, Watson, Mitch and Mahomes develop over the next 4 or 5 years .... will be interesting to see who ends up where in the pecking order ... I'm going to have some fun and enjoy watching it unfold ....

Add Marriotto and Winston to that group ...
Winston seems to be progressing nicely ... if he can cut the to's out ... he could be real special ...

There's a lot of possible great young QB's out there. And much like you I'm interested to see how it unfolds. But it does crack me up how people believe they have crystal balls that can see into the future. They may have crystal balls, but I believe that falls into the category of a personal problem.

Based on all games played so far - Wentz has been far better than Goff.... but it's still a small and early sample size. I wouldn't want to call out who is going to be the best between the 2 of them just yet. Wentz had a tremendous start and then seemed to regress a bit. I have not seen him this year at all to compare. But Goff was awful last year.
As for what the difference is this year with Goff ... I saw people speculate that it was sitting for 10 weeks ... but if that was the magic ticket, why did he look so bad when he did eventually play last year?
I think the biggest two differences this year to last for Goff - [1] it's year 2 and things should be slowing down a bit. [2] He has a new offensive coordinator.

Cool stuff. On one hand, some of it seems so simple too. "Just" take advantage of a defense's tendencies.

Goff looked crappy last year because of Jeff Fisher. Fisher is like Hue, they don't have a clue! The reason Goff, a very talented QB, looks good this year is because of the coaching, Sean McVay. If Sean was coaching our team, we'd have at least a .500 record. Cancerous Hue needs to go. Jeff Fisher was horrible!!!! Go Rams!!!
Exciting football will be back in Cleveland this fall!
