Old Cold Dog, this is a loaded question.

When does the left have " high moral values"?

A former Democratic congressional aide is accusing the Minnesota Democrat of forcibly trying to kiss her 11 years ago, Politico reported Wednesday. In a statement, Franken denied the latest accusation against him.

In statements Wednesday afternoon, four of Franken's Democratic colleagues β€” Kirsten Gillibrand of New York, Mazie Hirono of Hawaii, Claire McCaskill of Missouri and Sen. Hassan of New Hampshire β€” pushed for him to step down.

It's over for Franken.

I know you asked Swish.. but the answer is yes. As one of my favorite sayings goes which I heard from Coach Lou Holtz (though I don't know if he got it from somewhere else)... there is never the right time to do the wrong thing, or the wrong time to do the right thing.

If either side is willing to overlook the indiscretions of their own and use the "well they do it too" or the "we need the votes" argument.. then you are no better than them.

You have to do your best to do the right thing all the time and trust that it will work out for you in the long run.

Bye Bye, time to fly

You do realize that this is a short term win but a long term loss for the conservative side right? I mean assuming he resigns, then the average person will view that as him doing the right thing and other democrats demanding it... while republicans who are accused of similar things (or worse) continue to fight to defend the indefensible because.. they need that vote.....

GOP Senate candidate Roy Moore trails his Democratic opponent in the Alabama Senate race by 4 points in a new survey.

A Big League–Gravis poll finds Doug Jones has 48 percent support of Alabama voters in the race, while Moore has 44 percent support.

Moore is fading. Much like his memory has of his shopping mall days of trolling teenagers.

What took him so long, and what took the Dems so long to speak out against him, when they spoke up about Conyers much quicker?

Yep, no matter how much it hurts you, you have to do the right thing. This isn't about votes in the senate or losing "power" to the other party, this is about what's right. The public at large is quickly losing it's ability to stomach behind closed doors abuses of women like this. My hope is that he finally does the right thing tomorrow.

My opinion is that Al Franken and the Democrats had a great opportunity early on in this cycle to get ahead of this story, but their inability to act fast enabled the republicans to employ well crafted whataboutism to support Moore. The democrats dropped the ball on this one (which they seem to do quite a bit in general.)

What is funny is that you may think there is no racism in the Democratic Party. It is filled with racists.

The GOP is funding and backing 50 shades of creep. The Dems are calling for a purging it. Big difference.
