Swish, Here is a serious question; should the left stick to it's high moral values and preserve professional appearances to it's own detriment while the right puts up the likes of Trump, Moore, and Bannon without holding them accountable whatsoever? Old Cold Dog, this is a loaded question. When does the left have " high moral values"? When the top shelf of the wine rack has a wine named, 'Moral Values'.

If I were a betting man, I would bet Moore is a guilty creep. Without a doubt. Who signs a girl's yearbook and writes girls letters starting with, "I wish I could give you this in person."

A former Democratic congressional aide is accusing the Minnesota Democrat of forcibly trying to kiss her 11 years ago, Politico reported Wednesday. In a statement, Franken denied the latest accusation against him. In statements Wednesday afternoon, four of Franken's Democratic colleagues β Kirsten Gillibrand of New York, Mazie Hirono of Hawaii, Claire McCaskill of Missouri and Sen. Hassan of New Hampshire β pushed for him to step down. https://www.cnbc.com/2017/12/06/another-...-denies-it.htmlIt's over for Franken.

I know you asked Swish.. but the answer is yes. As one of my favorite sayings goes which I heard from Coach Lou Holtz (though I don't know if he got it from somewhere else)... there is never the right time to do the wrong thing, or the wrong time to do the right thing. If either side is willing to overlook the indiscretions of their own and use the "well they do it too" or the "we need the votes" argument.. then you are no better than them. You have to do your best to do the right thing all the time and trust that it will work out for you in the long run.

You do realize that this is a short term win but a long term loss for the conservative side right? I mean assuming he resigns, then the average person will view that as him doing the right thing and other democrats demanding it... while republicans who are accused of similar things (or worse) continue to fight to defend the indefensible because.. they need that vote.....

Minnesota voters will fill that seat with another dem. GOP Senate candidate Roy Moore trails his Democratic opponent in the Alabama Senate race by 4 points in a new survey. A Big LeagueβGravis poll finds Doug Jones has 48 percent support of Alabama voters in the race, while Moore has 44 percent support. Moore is fading. Much like his memory has of his shopping mall days of trolling teenagers.

This isn't about votes in the senate or losing "power" to the other party, this is about what's right. The public at large is quickly losing it's ability to stomach behind closed doors abuses of women like this. My hope is that he finally does the right thing tomorrow. My opinion is that Al Franken and the Democrats had a great opportunity early on in this cycle to get ahead of this story, but their inability to act fast enabled the republicans to employ well crafted whataboutism to support Moore. The democrats dropped the ball on this one (which they seem to do quite a bit in general.)

and when they went out for lunch, Roy Moore would volunteer to watch the day care.

The GOP is funding and backing 50 shades of creep. The Dems are calling for a purging it. Big difference.
