Well it was just announced that Hue will return next year so as of now that's a moot point. Do we actually believe Jimmy Haslam? Kind of like when Jimmy said, everyone is safe this year and will be coming back. Then, proceeded to fired Pettine and Farmer. Good point.

LOL I guess I should have elaborated more....many posters in this thread said their minds are already made up and nothing that happens in the last 4 games will change their opinions. But now, especially with a new GM in tow, the last 4 games have more import then they did before (and i thought they were important then).

Dorsey will be evaluating everyone, including Hue, very closely. Player jobs are on the line that weren't last week. We may actually see better play because of it. Allowing Dorsey the time to come in and evaluate the roster prior to the end of the season was an excellent move by Haslam. Even if it was unintentional.

I expect, hope the next 4 games will be the best 4 games of the season.
I think the biggest difference will be the jump in WR talent. They only have a couple-three weeks of chemistry but the talent level has jumped.

In the big picture these four games don't mean much.
What people can hope for is growth from Kizer.
Kizer was not ready to be a starter in the NFL. So every game he plays is an opportunity to learn and get better.
He is a smart young man and he knows the score.
The roster in general needs to learn and get better. Hue will do what a coach does. Prepare the team and try to win the game.
When this season ends it will be forgotten quickly. Dorsey and Hue will begin to prepare for next year.
Dorsey will be the guy that the players need to impress. He will be watching very closely. There will be jobs on the line.
I hope they win a game just to have that off their back. But again what difference can it make? Players, coaches, everyone involved when next year begins the focus will be 2018. 2017 will fade into black.

Yep, I think guys are playing for employment more now and not riding the excuse of being young and in time we'll improve. There's a fair portion of these guys who have about four more weeks in the league period.

I'm sure he's watched the film already. Some posters have their mind made up cause it is what it is.
I been listening to Sound Bites and not one is indicating remotely that Kizer is the guy. Lets just face the facts...Kizer just is not and never will be THE GUY.

I actually believe that every game is just as important as any other in the evaluation process. As such, I feel the film on all 16 games will be just as important as the last four.
As far as the coaching staff goes, I believe these last four games mean very little if anything. The commitment has already been made in regards to Hue and the coaching staff to return next year. IMO- that ship has sailed.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Yep, the ship has sailed and can sink at any time because Jimmy's word is as good as a 3 dollar bill.
The odds of Hue getting fired actually went up once Jimmy said he'll be here next year.

Does it make sense to play well enough to LOSE the #1 pick?

The best thing that can come out of these next 4 games being evaluated is that there is a DEFINITE need for an OC.

After Hues comments about how HE didn't want anybody fired....lol...I wouldn't let him hire a OC at this point. Sorry Hue, it's not in the budget, we are spending it on players....plus...I wouldn't want anybody else fired.

I don't know how anyone can justify bringing back a HC with a 1-27 record that's JMO ... and we need to use the #1 on a QB, there is nobody that that wanted to see Kizer succeed as much as me but he is just to inaccurate to lead this team out of our current situation and that's JMO too ... I can agree whole heartedly with all of that, including using the #1 on QB, EXCEPT FOR: Kizer being inaccurate. Kizer is not inaccurate, he is something special, I really like what I've seen from him, every game going back to August, in fact, at that point I was totally against Kizer, ... but his promising play changed my mind, he clearly demonstrated that he is the best option and should be out there, gives you the best chance to win. Kizer has largly shown, Arm strength: Accuracy: Quickness, and an ability to pump fake: Leadership: and youthful enthusiasm. He just needs more time with his receivers. And we need to use the #1 on a Qb, no doubt.
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

Does it make sense to play well enough to LOSE the #1 pick? I don't think we have to worry about that. The Giants and 49ers both have two wins. We have only have two potential wins left on our schedule (Packers and Bears). There is no way we beat the Ravens or Steelers.

I don't think we will win 2 games, but the Ravens aren't very good and the Steelers might be resting guys.

But, play action was being under utilized. Last week there 10 plays under center and none were passes let alone play-action. It was nice to see play-action dialed up.

Kizer steps through the pocket finds open space. Resets his feet then uncorks a 53 yard pass. Refs missed PI. This is an example of the 'plus' ability he brings to the table.

I wonder how many heads would explode and if Dorsey and hue decide to pass on a QB #1 overall.

Actually, I wouldn't be surprised and would welcome tradedown. We can still get a QB in the top 7 of the draft and fleece a desperate team. This is the perfect draft to set the draft board.
Just the dawg in me..........

I respectfully disagree. We have plenty of draft picks and we always miss out on impact players by trading down. The future is now. We need to win some games now!
Rosen is a superior qb. I think we have to take him w/our first pick.

The real question would be how big of an impact would Haslam's head exploding make. Hearing him talk in that pilot j recording makes me believe he has the head 3x the size of the average man.

Spider 2 Concept Really good coverage on this play. Coaching point would be to (a) get the ball out earlier (b) keep over the LB but in bounds to give the TE a chance

Slant-flat concept Kizer gets pressure throws off back foot (a no-no) but shows off his plus arm talent to fit a ball into a tight window

Common play-action combo. Coleman runs a go route, Gordon with over/deep crosser. Coleman's underneath defender stumble and Gordo doesn't see him. Scary hold your breath moment when Gordo went down. Good read, ball looks like it would have been on target. Hue sure as heck ain't dinkin around with the passing concepts. This is a big ball passing game.

DeValve from the in-line TE spot (R) gets separation from a DB on an square out route. 11-yard gain on 3rd and 6 After stepping up in pocket DK throws from the far hash marks towards the opposite sideline after stepping up in the pocket. Whenever I watch DeValve I wonder why/if we can get him the ball more.

Crow wide open in the flat, could've run for days. Yup, its very common to see 'open' receivers when watching re-watching plays. On this type of route-combo the progression is likely a half-field Hi-Lo read with the progression starting w/ Coleman on the go route(clearing) for Gordon's over/deep crosser then the RB on a swing/wheel as the 'checkdown'
