DK still has time to develop and even if he never becomes a #1 he can be valuable as a backup.

Kiser has control of his own fate, good or bad. Right now he has the inside track to be the guy for next year with 4 games left to show our new GM and Hue. Hue coming back next year helps Kiser providing he can continue to develop. Kiser needs to earn Hue's trust and continue to grow.
I just want a winner. We need players who can be part of the solution not part of the problem.

At this point, I don’t even want him on the team next year.

Kizer had a decent game today, until the OMEN PLAY, and we all know what one that was. What was he thinking, throwing the ball up like that? Holy Toledo!

Kizer can't put himself in situations where 1 play defines his ENTIRE game.
That's two weeks in a row, in clutch situations, he hurt his team big time.
I still think he showed progress, and actually had us looking like a decent offense 1st half. Not flushing the idea of him starting long term down the drain yet, but games like this hurt bad.
I know he's shedding tears after this one. No way he can't.

That's too bad. He's a bonehead and he makes boneheaded mistakes at the worse possible moments. If he wants to stop feeling bad, then he should stop making boneheaded mistakes.
Indecision may,or maynot,be my problem

Games like today is why I don’t buy the whole he’s clutch bs, he’s actually the opposite, Especially when factoring the red zone

He had a good game, except for a couple dumb mistakes.
He had 3 TDs. Huge improvement in the red zone.

He played today like I thought he would all year ...
Lots of good and 2 really really bad plays ...
He was very accurate today ...
Other than the ROOKIE play to end the game ... my bigges complaint was he LOCKED on ALL DAY LONG ... I’m not sure he looked off his primary reciever even ONE TIME ... did he check down to a back at all ... that I can’t remember ...
He literally STARED and STARED and STARED all day long ...
Hes still a rookie .. i’m not sure how much IMPROVEMENT some folks expect ...

Oh ya ... when he threw the ball out of the end zone on the “fade” .. that was HORRIBLE also .. he held that way to long ..

Yeah, he still doesn't have the fade, not even close. But he DID do a designed roll out successfully. So I take back my previous comment the other day about him.

He is good for mind numbing mistakes at game critical times. That is the one area where he is consistent.
Welcome back, Joe, we missed you!

I think we should definitely take a QB #1 overall, but I think everyone should be reminded that DeShone Kizer is still only 21 years old.

And this is how it goes for a QB on a bad team following a loss. The focus is on his mind numbingly dumb decision (on what imho was a bad playcall) and not the other good things he did throughout the game.
Kizer had a good game erased by a couple bad rookie decisions.
The OT interception was a hero-ball plain and simple and that's what happens on a team thirsty for a W and feel it slipping away.
