I had the speech on in the background and notice that Trump seemed to be slurring his speech a little. Not like he was drunk, but more like he had dentures and they were loose. I've never noticed this before and wonder if there is an issue with him?

At the very end he said "God bless the United SHtates"...

Washington (CNN)President Donald Trump recognized Jerusalem as Israel's capital on Wednesday and announced plans to relocate the US Embassy there, a move expected to inflame tensions in the region and unsettle the prospects for peace.

"I have determined that it is time to officially recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel," Trump said from White House's Diplomatic Reception Room. "After more than two decades of waivers, we are no closer to a lasting peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinians."
The move signaled a willingness on Trump's part to prioritize fulfilling a campaign promise over the consensus among US allies in the region and beyond that the decision could stymie the peace process and increase security risks in a region that is already on edge.
"Today, I am delivering," Trump said, referencing his campaign promise.

In calls with Trump on Tuesday, Arab leaders in the region and French President Emmanuel Macron expressed deep misgivings about Trump's move and urged him to reconsider.
Trump's decision, previewed Tuesday by senior administration officials, upends decades of policy from successive Republican and Democratic administrations that have said the status of Jerusalem should be left up to a final status agreement negotiated between Israelis and Palestinians.
Trump said Wednesday he is ordering the State Department "to begin preparations to move the embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem."
But senior officials said he will again sign a waiver to keep the US embassy in Tel Aviv for the time being as they estimate it will take years before a new embassy can open in Jerusalem.
Trump said his order to the State Department will begin the process of hiring architects and building contractors to build an embassy that will be a "a magnificent tribute to peace."

the US has now entered a Holy War in the Middle East.

The days of appeasement are over. America does the right thing here and if others want to make war about it, bring it on.

He appealed to the weak and the poor and the gullible.

I don't know if he actually believed what he was saying (delusions), or he was just trying to be the master manipulator.

The jury is out on that one.

Trump ran on single-payer without even attempting to explain how to fund it, and on building a wall that Mexico would pay for.

Hillary ran on "Obamacare is fine" and "America is great".

Both of their campaigns were far more delusional than his.

We will have to agree to disagree on that.

All of those candidates sucked hardcore. We had no good choices.

Bernie wants everything for free. Paid for by the US Taxpayer. That is what is delusional.

Trump thinks health insurance costs $12 a month and promised single-payer health care without even attempting to explain how to fund it.

How do you think a single payer system would be funded? Through charitable contributions from you and me?

We could find it quite easily without raising taxes too much. Our spending waste is frivolous and astronomical.

But again, I fail to see how Sanders' plan was more delusional than Trump's (single-payer with no plan in funding; doesn't know what health insurance even is) or Hillary's (Obamacare is great)

I don't think he's delusional at all.

The idea that we don't have the money for universal health coverage is insane. We absolutely do have the money. We spend it on more weapons than we could possibly ever need, so we can sell them to people who will sell them to rebels fighting against our military.

Some of his campaign rhetoric can soar, sure. But we absolutely could pay for most of what he's pitched.

Plenty of wealthy nations out there do it just fine, and they don't have nearly the capital we do. Only difference is they don't set trillions on fire in overseas invasions.

He was proposing massive tax hikes to pay for his programs.

(Although that part was conveniently left out of his "Everything is free" speeches.)

So why now ? Throwing this big of a bone to Isreal and thumbing our noses at the rest of the Middle East ,indeed the world . Wonder what prompted this move now . Was bound to happen sooner or later I mean we've been giving lip service to this idea for years .

1- It was a campaign promise of Trumps to do this.

2- 30 years of appeasement of the Palestinians and Arabs has not worked, it is time for a new approach.(Trump said this)

3- There is no room for negotiations as long as Israel has been willing to give up land and other things to attain peace but the other side simply wants them dead.

4- Israelis and Palestinians both claim Jerusalem as their capital, as the State of Israel maintains its primary governmental institutions there while the State of Palestine ultimately foresees the city as its seat of power; however, neither claim is widely recognized internationally. Today it is recognized by the United States of America.

The Arab world had better come to the negotiating table, seriously, in the future as things are going Israel's way until they do. (my opinion)
