You could form a pretty damn solid team with people from those lists.

I would give Rogers a shot; actually McCardell coming back to Cleveland wouldn't be too bad of an idea if Wilson doesn't excite the coaches.

Dillon if Jamal doesn't show any burst.

This isn't a terrible list; it's a good feeling to start having enough depth that not many people spark our interest because in previous years that list was better than our entire team!

I thought Chris Brown was still out there.........hmmmm. Oh well.

Well believe it or not, Antonio Bryant looks tempting to bring back. Also, a veteran RB would be nice. Dillon may want more money than I'd like to give out, though, and the rest of the names are weak.

Lee suggs, & Willie Green, ohh how the talented have fallen, and we were arguing about what round of draft pick we should ask for to trade them, heck thier out there for free and nobdy wants them, Shows our level of talent a couple years ago, and how many old Browns are in those lists, and just how much rebuilding and restocking of talent Phil & RC has had to do.

I'd bring on Moulds or McCardell, providing both know they are going to be a 3rd receiver at best.

I agree. It couldn't hurt to see a couple of new faces in the WR corp.

I would bring in Domanick Williams he used to be known as Domanick Davis and was a big hit with the Houston Texans in his first 3 seasons. I believe he sat out the whole of last season after damaging his knee. Not sure if he will be fit enough but if his knee holds up he would definately be worth a look to bolster our RB position.

Dawgpound017 - Chris Brown is with the Titans and could very well be their starter this year

Wikkipedia listed McCardell as signing with the Texans yesterday, but there is no mention of the signing on the Texans' website.

Just clicking,, I'm amazed that nobody mentioned how many Ex Browns are on those lists.. These guys are out of football unless someone needs an emergency player in a position.. kinda like us last year at center and CB..

Man, if this doesn't clearly illustrate how bad we've been talent wise, I don't know what else does.

Well what the heck was I thinking....his name popped up a couple months back. Maybe he was a possible June 1st cut then. I don't know, just thought for some reason he was on the market.

i would take corey dillon, 1 year contract, same deal as jamal. Then we could pound away. Plus we could start Jamal against the rats, and dillon against the bungles, they'd be highly motivated. Just a fun thought b/f camp...

I dunno, Dillon had been looking noticibaly slower last season in New England. Sure, he could pound it, but I don't want to give another 1 year contract out like Jamal got.

Teams would just stack the middle. With no outside speed at RB, your running game is pretty predictable.

i am not suggesting we play them at the same time. More like preventing a fall off if Jamal gets hurt or goes out for a few plays.

Corey Dillon is done, like 70 per cent of the names on that list. Even if Dillon still wants to play, he won't be a Brown.

Add Tim Couch as a UFA QB as he through his hat in the ring as well.

Tim Couch 1st round pick
William Green 1st round pick
Lee Suggs 4th round pick
Antonio Bryant swapped with QM our 2nd round pick
Kevin Johnson 2nd round pick 32overall
Aaron Shea 4th round pick
Ross Verba our first big OL FA in 01 (note we never drafted OL high so FA was our source)

Just a lot of highly invested in Browns on this list. Man did Clark and Butch set us back

If Harrison is not fast enough to be our 3rd down back ( I think he will be just fine, But...), then maybe Suggs could try out...Think he has anything left in the tank???

With Suggs it was never a worry of what he had left in the tank, but whether the tank would ignite and explode on contact like a Corvair.

He's a big back like Lewis, but slower. If we're getting another RB, I'd rather have someone to change it up. Plus, having 2 backs with a $3million single year contract is a bit much. The only name in there that is halfway decent and won't require much money is Mungro, and he ain't even that great. There's more names for WR's out there who can probably help us.

yeah, but who could they beat??? I think some college and arena football teams would beat them!!!

Now, I think some of these names have retired or resigned either with their current team or a new team.

I would bring Tank Johnson in. He was doing fine until he got pulled over but he was not charged because he was not drunk. So why not give him a shot. Hey, our DL could use the help.
