I didn't think the Flash came out until about 10 years ago (or was that the reincarnation?).
he started in 79-80 & 80-81, he ran the sideline the year we beat Shelby for our first football outright leauge title, 79-70, I graduated in 1981

I remember Edith the Elephant as the mascot (or maybe that was just for the b-ball team)
Ya that was coach haas's how do you win leauge, play one game at a time, like you eat a elephant one bite at a time. B-Ball team only, us football players use to call the b-ball teamn cake eaters, the home eck girls use to bake them cakes during the season, us football players got nothing...LOL

Beall (pronounced Bell) High School Mountaineers Exact same colors and mascot as WVU (I grew up 60 miles from Morgantown)... He even carried the same fake gun at games when I was in school.. I understand that stopped sometime in the mid 90's... PC reasons... And college...

HS: East Meck Eagles College: Appalachian State Mountianeers THE BACK-TO-BACK NATIONAL CHAMPIONS IN I-AA and going for the never before done........... BACK-TO-BACK-TO-BACK!!!! Con and and you YSU guys......we all might have some pretty good football teams this yr. Maybe we'll meet in the Play-offs on our way to another title! Con, Don't miss a Grizzlies game this yr., went to one when I had a buddy that transferred there........it is a GREAT atmosphere, and they usually have a pretty damn good team. Here was last yrs. final poll top five: Final 2006 Sports Network's FCS College Football Poll Team (First-place votes) Record Points Previous Rank 1. Appalachian State Mountaineers (69) 14-1 1,749 1 2. Massachusetts Minutemen 13-2 1,677 3 3. Montana Grizzlies 12-2 1,586 2 4. Youngstown State Penguins 11-3 1,515 5 5. North Dakota State Bison (1) 10-1 1,452 4 Haven't found one for this yr. yet, but all three in the top five.....not bad. (and need I mention that we defeated YSU pretty soundly on our way to last yrs. title ). Oh, yea,...one more edit.....My Mountianeers open this yrs. football season in the Big House......against that team from up north, , we don't stand much of a chance but I'll be watching anyway.

Pit, You're a Bethel Bee? lol. How old are you? You might have went to school with some people I know.
I'm 48 Top.
Unless you know a lot of old generic people,I doubt you know anybody I wnet to school with.
I used to hang out in Huber and know plenty of people who went to Wayne. But the youngest of them graduated in like 82.
The Arville's,The Todds,Heidi Shock, just to name a few. But Heidi was probably the youngest of the bunch. Now you may know some of the children of the people who I went to school with. I'm guessing you're in your twenties. (sorry if I'm way of the mark there) But if their parents went to school at Bethel from the early seventies to early 80's,I probably know them.
I was in advanced classes, played sports, was in the choir, hung out with some of the stoners,etc..... So my friends were quite diverse. I knew and hung out with about everyone in every "group" in school. I mean hell,it's a pretty small school!
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

I was Euclid Class of 1995
You were lucky then, you got to watch the best high school football player I've ever seen (at the HS level) - Pepe Pearson.
(Wasn't too bad at OSU either...)
Pepe was a VERY nice guy. We had a class together at OSU and every Monday, he and I would talk about the previous game. He was so kind to me and seem to appreciate that I could talk football to him.
