At the bar today, some guy asked me what it was like to be a Browns fan.

Can't blame them, with the attitude their head coach has adopted they probably think they're playing great.

I'm kinda sad that they retired the sunglasses. That had promise. It was cool to see Higgins take a nap after his second touchdown, but I think it'd be more accurate if he fell asleep standing up...

If they're adopting the attitude of Hue, I bet they all think they could've gone 16-0 if they had a real head coach.

for a bunch of kids used to winning...this has got to be brutal on them...so I was glad they are still keeping their heads up.

Emotions...up and down. The past two years, three years, four years...yea the years keep coming because the list of losing is endless. At one point the media were picking the Browns to go to the Super Bowl after their 10-6 season. Yea, yea, yea. Not long after Mike Polk Jr. made his now infamous "Factory of Sadness" video. I eventually celebrated when Lerner sold the team. I was really excited when Mike Holmgren was hired and I thought he would bring in a winner. We managed to put some trick plays together to beat the Patriots, a Super Bowl champion Giants and a Super Bowl champion Saints team. Those may be some of our best wins. Maybe the '09 Chiefs game where Cribbs and Harrison set records. I had faith in some unknown named Mike Pettine. Hey, he even won 7 at one point and then lost the final 5. But, we had that amazing come back win in Tennessee and the Thursday night win in Cincy. We've turned the corner, right? Ugh. Jim O'Neil, Ray Farmer yadda, yadda, yadda. But then I was super excited when we hired Hue and we had high draft picks only to trade down, and down and release key Vets. We go 1-15 and we have high draft picks. 31 teams would take Garrett, but apparently we debated. We eventually traded down again and released more Vets. Now here we are 0-16. We lost to the JV Pittsburgh Steelers team two years in a tow. But, as somebody else said...we didn't lose to them...we lost to ourselves. Kizer could have run two more yards and get the first down, instead he sees a wide open receiver 9 yards ahead. Of course he is going to throw it. Everybody would. We all expected him to otherwise we would have screamed "he's wide open". Only the Browns can screw it up so badly that the ball gets dropped when it is right in a wide open WR's hands. Strangely coincidental that on our fourth play of our opening game against the Steelers they get a TD on a blocked punt. That was the difference. Now, 15 weeks later on the final play in the final 2 minute all we need is 2 yards to stay alive, but our 1st round WR can't make the catch. Moments like this is what being a Browns fan are all about. We see it time and time again. When will it be different?

Tears, disbelief and an awful stain on a once proud franchise. I'm glad this season is over. I'm not glad to have all the speculation media reports, the hype of draft day, the mock drafts etc. Off season is so long only to be disappointed once the season comes around.

We have a lot of work to do.

we have the #1 and #4. Hue needs an OC. we need to sure up the RT spot. we need a FS, and another starting CB.

We most likely need a RB, a slot WR, and most importantly, a QB.

we have a ton of cap space, in 5 picks in the first two rounds.

what shall we do.

Bring in a top WR to line up on the wing opposite Gordon and move Coleman to slot. Or, Coleman becomes a back-up winger. Doctson and Fuller have already outplayed him and he was taken higher than either of them. Higgins out played Coleman today! Very disappointing at #15.

We also need to look at the LT spot as it may be open as soon as next season.

It's amazing a team can be that bad. Are we really ghosts? Are the real browns in Baltimore under a different name? that thought almost makes me less depressed. At least they've accomplished something.

Rosen will most likely absolutely refuse to play for us, so giants fans will most likely be thanking us for him.

I know, almost two decades of the same crap and it's almost getting worse. I really didn't want to go 0-16. We could have won..in the end as always a boneheaded play slams the door in our face. Everytime...I'm starting to believe we are divinely cursed or something.

If we're cursed it's only with idiotic ownership and bad decisions.

I hope this off seasons and today's decision doesn't carry on our self imposed curse.

If the owners can't see that a teams head coach is 90% of the outcome win vs lose.

Then anything else they do is going to bring similar results.

Hue Jackson is the artist behind this masterpiece, I firmly believe that.

I am numb to it all. I stopped seriously watching 4 or 5 games ago when it was clear we didn't have a QB that even gave us a chance to win.

That being said, it's good the team still fights hard. Will Kizer progress this offseason? Who knows. He is so young that even if you're disappointed in him there is plenty of time for him to greatly improve. I am just not that confident he will.

The draft will be interesting because I can see us not drafting a QB if the top two head back to college to avoid being drafted by us. I think they are stupid if they do that though. If we grab a QB like Rosen our offense could jump lightyears. I don't think he could go anywhere and make as big a name for himself as being drafted by us.

Then we just need a true #1 WR to move corey to the slot where he belongs and things could explode. I know we have Josh but I don't think you can rely on him staying sober or sticking around. It would be nice if he did but you can't rely on it.

it all depends on what these qB's do in the draft.

But yea i'm in agreement with you on Josh. i wouldn't trade him, but i'd certainly act as if he's not on the roster. we can maybe start to trust him once he makes it through an offseason with no problems, and start week one.

Coleman is an enigma, IMO. His injury has been freakish with his hand, no other injuries. he has flashed some absolue talent, but he suffers from drops. however, i have to wonder how much is due to Kizer being so horrible. i mean we've seen Colem run open just for the bal lto be thrown too high or skip across the field. then a noticeable percentage of the time, he drops it, such as that absolute dime of a throw Kizer threw that would've been a TD if he caught it a few weeks ago.

on top of that, we don't know what the QB market will look like. is Cousins realistically available? We aren't the only team that can make it rain on Cousins, which means there's zero reason why he would consider us a #1 destination over other teams that will pursue him.

Bridgewater is good, Foles maybe, Tyrod (cause the bills are dumb). But overall, other than most likely a bridge, there won't be a real answer for the future.

then, as Tusla said, we still need to address the LT spot, even if Thomas still comes back. Drango did ok but we need an upgrade. we need an upgrade at the RT spot.

does crow walk? do we address that in FA or the draft?

the reality is that we have an 0-16 team, which means we have inexperience and not a good roster, combined with highly questionable coaching decisions.

i dunno, but even with the #1 and #4 pick, i'm not optimistic about our future honestly.

I just had a thought:

Imagine how bad we would have been if we didn't go undefeated in the preseason. We had all that momentum going into the season!

and who gave us that momentum? the last two preseason games?
