Rocky.....was that you that called in to Cleveland Browns Daily on WKNR? It was a caller that was a member of SNEBB calling from CT.

Thought it might have been you.

So, you're saying that ray rice is a decent guy because he only hit her once? Same logic.

Yeah, abusing women is the same thing as a peaceful protest. One is a crime and the other just makes people butt hurt.

Gosh, I just remember all the players coming out after 9/11 waving flags and paying deference to first reaponders and the military. It's amazing how fickle these people are.

I actually thought it was a good comparison. I know you didn't because you want to parse everything to prove your point. I personally think the anthem protests are disgusting aND disrespectful. I think rices were too, to a much greater degree.

Did he do something to the poor kids of Africa you're always complaining about?

No, but, I know all the SNEBB diehards (I've been one for 30 years - up until August 21, 2017).

I'll pass this along to our club president Scott Bacon (I use his actual name as it is publicly available on the Cleveland Browns website) (it wasn't Scott, he lives over the border in Massachusetts)

Now, I'm interested. I can't wait to merrily chide the culprit.

PS. Some players loved Cleveland and playing for the Browns.

I still have that issue of SI floating around the house somewhere.

I love my Browns but find many of their fans whiny and unappreciative of the entertainment they’re being provided.

It is entertainment but it is also sport, it's a competition.. part of the entertainment (in fact MOST of the entertainment) is in the competition.. that's why fans leave blow-outs early. That's why they keep score and don't just do football drills for 3 hours...

So when you are consistently NOT competitive, then it stops being entertaining.

If a movie, play, musical, or concert was the equivalent of 1-31 bad.. nobody would go, NOBODY would be appreciative of that level of entertainment.

I certainly understand this. As a comparison, I sat through Revenge of the Sith and enjoyed it for what it was, a Star Wars movie. I love Star Wars. Was it the best Star Wars movie? Absolutely not. Did I get online and whine and cry about it? No. Did I watch the next Star Wars flick that came out? Absolutely.
Yes. The Browns are awful. I hate how awful they are. But I can’t imagine my Sunday’s in the fall without them. So I’ll watch. I have no more control over how good or bad they are than I do how good or bad the next Star Wars movie will be. So I watch and appreciate the 3 hours for what it is. My team. My Star Wars. My beloved Browns.
Don’t get me wrong, I get the frustration. I really do.

I do not recall the caller's first name, but he did say he was from Windsor, CT if that helps you chide your buddy. He singing praise to Matt Wilhelm for bashing Johnny Manziel.

Revenge of the Sith is like watching a 6-10 Browns team. What we've been subjected is more like having to sit through Whoopi Goldberg's movie Theodore Rex. tongue

Closer to a double feature, like Plan 9 from Outer Space and Attack of the Killer Tomatoes.
The special effects are cheesy and laughable, but fans go to them.

Our fans are special; not sure we have the next generation of the same coming up.

Turn it around; we have lost too much for too many for too long.

Try Liquid Sky instead. I'm just glad we weren't the first to go 0-16, as I prefer the other firsts.

1st to score a 2 point conversion. 1st Monday night game. Won the championship our first year in the NFL. I believe the first black player in the NFL. We need to get back to those firsts.

I was wrong on the 1st black player. That would have been Kenny Washington of the former Cleveland Rams in 1946. There were a few others in the 1920s, but none from 34-46.

In the Admiral's quartere of the USS Midway docked in San Diego there's a copy of SI with Bernie on the cover sitting out on the coffee table!

I think it is safe to say that anybody growing up a Browns fan, I'll say under the age of 30, is going to have conviction. They may be fewer in number than in the past, but they will have to have conviction to have watched the last 20+ years and still claim themselves as Browns fans.

The next generation of fans have a lot of fond memories of Kellen Winslow Jr. that they share after every Browns loss frown

It's not a good time.
