Read an article that said Dorsey likes Josh Allen. I personally think it will be Mafield that we draft only because Rosen doesn't want to play here.
BUT our day one starter will be Alex Smith.

I would go get Case Keenum.
I think that this team has a lot to offer a veteran QB, but I don't think that Cousins would come here.I am not sold on McCarron, and I certainly don't want to give up big assets to get him. I don't see the Vikings giving up Bradford or Bridgewater, and they sure cannot afford all of them.

But it was Keenum that led them to a 13 win season. Do you really believe they value Bridgewater and Bradford over a proven winner?
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

I like case.
But you might be putting the cart before the horse.
I don't think they will decide not to draft a QB in round one unless they sigh a high profile QB in free agency.

Mahomes played pretty well in his first start yesterday; 22-34, 284 yds, 1 Int, in a 27-24 win at Denver. KC might want to wait another year before committing to him though, IMO.

IIRC,all 3 of their QBs are free agents next year.If you can have 1 or 2 of them, which do you try to re-sign if you are Minnesota? Their coaching staff reportedly loves Bridgewater. I think that's the position change, putting Bridgewater back as the starter, they make after this season.

Alex Smith. But he'll be replaced by Mayfield at some point during the season. I'm thinking the same thing, though I think I Rosen is the safer/smarter pick, I have a feeling they might pick Mayfield. And if they do? I think he'll do great here. I just have a feeling. We shall see.

Keenum led my team to one of the best records in the NFL. There's no substitute for results. Keenum would be priority one for me. Bridgewater would be #2 on my list and Bradford could take a hike.

recent rumors say Josh Allen? I don't think I ever watched him
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Case had a great season...but, so did Nick Foles and Derrick Anderson once upon a time ago. Definitely a gamble if he continues to play like that.

Agreed. Bradford can't stay on the field no matter where he has played. I'd let him go.

If I'm running the show....our QB room next year is
a) One of Jimmy Garoppolo/Kirk Cousins/Case Keenum b) Josh Rosen (at #1)/Josh Allen (at #4 with Barkley at #1) c) DeShone Kizer
Since it's the Three Stooges running the show, I fully expect it to be
a) AJ McCarron b) Baker Mayfield c) DeShone Kizer
....and.....we.....will....suck (said in Emperor Palpatine voice)

something tells me getting Jimmy G is not likely to happen now

something tells me getting Jimmy G is not likely to happen now I actually doubt ANY of Garoppolo, Cousins or Keenum end up becoming available. SF, Wash and Minny will most likely retain all of them. If that happens - I probably roll with the rookie at #1 and try to find a lesser vet to be a backup. Josh McCown would have actually been perfect. Or someone like a Chad Henne or Mike Glennon. Just someone who can be a vet mentor in the QB room who won't start but if forced to play a game or two won't entirely crap the bed. Maybe try and trade for Alex Smith, but I don't see him really being available either.

McCarron. I think we get our starter (or starterish) QB in FA. Then we flush Crow and get one of the top picks with our first rounders. Might be Mayfield. Shelve Kizer since he owns this season.

I can dream ....
San fran franchises Jimmy G.
Cleveland steals him away with an offer he can't refuse and they can't match.
JG passing to JG for for record breaking numbers and the Browns become fun to watch again =) Somethings are worth the price...

I'm not sure I can mentally handle going in to the season with AJ McCarron as QB1.

With Huebris Jackson as the QB passing 40 times a game.

Watching the OK GA game - Baker Mayfield looked like an future HOF on the first drive. Some seriously good throws. I made the comments elsewhere - he's not chucking it up for a 'Mike Evans' type to go jump for, he's accurate as hell (so far). Comparisons to JF need to cease.

I just wish there was a "best" qb of this class .. one that is a no-brainer to pick at 1. Even if they were Mariota, Winston, Eli Manning, Matt Ryan ... I hate having so many questions at 1

If the dude was 1 1/2 inches taller I don't think there would be any debate ... his ability to play the QB position and his arm talent is exceptional.

I've seen plenty of good throws to receivers who were not "wide open" .... just because on some plays receivers are indeed wide open doesn't negate or detract from the good throws he's made. Not only that - but people saying Mayfield wouldn't be an upgrade over Kizer .... unless I dreamed it, I am pretty darn sure Kizer has missed wide open receivers for the Browns. Repeatedly if not frequently.

Only 1 game. I dare say he has been doing that his entire college career at OK. He knows how to play the game from a QB perspective. Touch on passes, accurate throws, hits runners in stride, progressions, manipulating defenses with his eyes, time management. Going to be a real good pro, I believe. Has Brees like qualities in my estimation.
