A parade isn't going to do anything but embarrass the city and the fans. The Browns themselves don't care. Why should they? They still made money. ESPN will run a little thing on it (which is all these people really want) and it will get buried in the cycle of actual NFL news, college football playoffs, NBA, etc.

If you want to impact the Haslems and the team, stop going to games. If you have season tickets, call and tell them you're cancelling. It won't throw the team in bankruptcy, but it will still gash their bottom line and maybe get them to take things more seriously.

I don't personally think Jimmy doesn't care. I get the sense he wants to win and will do what it takes. I just don't think he knows what he's doing. He's never owned an NFL team before. I think he tried thinking outside the box, I think Hue Jackson sold him a bill of goods.

Bringing in Dorsey was a great move. I do believe Dorsey is going to get rid of Jackson, one way or another. I think he will bring in someone credible, who will then figure out the QB situation, as well as the staff and everything else.

Especially after publicly admitting that they planned on losing. This guy stinks up the lakefront.

0-16? I'm good with it. Parade? Sure, why not? You want to go to the parade? Go ahead...have fun with it. It's the most fun anyone will have at that stadium all year. LOL

The Cleveland Browns are losers. The city is not. The fans are not.

Its a free market, you can buy it or choose not to. Having a parade after an 0-16 season paints us all as a bunch of losers, whether we choose to participate or not. It will be one more scene to add to the montage of Cleveland sports futility that some fans seem to want to wallow in ... RR88, The Drive, The Fumble, The Shot, The Move, Jose Mesa's Meltdown, The Decision, Cubs Comeback, The Frigging QB Jersey, and now, ladies and gentlemen, The Parade. Yippy-ki-yay, let the pity party begin.

And it's a free country where you're allowed to publicly show your displeasure. That's what people plan to do.

It seems you have no problem with a free market but not so good with free speech.

And maybe you should re-read your posts. It sounds like you're the one doing most of the whining.

I have no issue with free speech, I'm just exercising my own. But when you organize a parade to celebrate/protest futility, you are attempting to confer a "spokesmanship" for all of us fans upon yourself that you have no right to assume.

Anyway, that's all I have to say on this thread. I get that some, or maybe even the majority, disagree. You'll have that sometimes.

Fans are already doing this. You haven't noticed the 50% - 70% empty stadium this year?

The average attendance this season was the lowest since 1984.

Link

The majority of Browns games no longer sell out. Fans have become apathetic.

That's why the parade is a good idea. Instead of apathy you can be pro active.

Honestly no, I think the NFL has avoided a lot of those wide shots of the stadium...

I mean you get the shot at the beginning, but really, any NFL stadium at kickof is going to be pretty empty as it takes you 45 minutes just to get in the damn building.

I'm glad to hear attendance is down. I hope more fans decline re-upping their season tickets. I hope walk-up continues to dwindle.

The fans have proven they are loyal. They showed up in droves for YEARS to see a bad product. Any other fan that uses the current and future attendance as some knock on the fans is an idiot. This isn't Cincinnati, where fans can't even show up for a playoff team.

I hope it continues. The team dserves this. The owner isn't good enough. The coaches aren't good enough. The players aren't good enough. The fans can only do so much to send a message, and not showing up, being apathetic is a lot more of a message than a parade that is only there because people want their own attention.

I'm not totally certain, but I'm pretty sure I'll be there.

There's nothing to do with this team and this season but to laugh at all of it, and I fully intend to do so.

For everyone getting so butt-hurt over this.... I think maybe you take all of this a little too seriously. It's entertainment, and we're terrible at it. If the Browns were a band, we'd be the Bay City Rollers.

I'll most likely be there as well. Gonna drive up from Columbus just to scream into the void and hope Jimmy hears the cry. These past 3 seasons have been absolutely unacceptable.

Yet McNeil, the t-shirt/merch producers and the sponsors won't publicly state just what percentage of the proceeds go to charity. And the vast majority of what actually went to charity was 1. The go-fund me page set up specifically for Browns fans to donate and 2. The Browns matching the donation.

The parade means nothing except lining the pockets of a megalomaniacal, middle-aged, bald head having ass, manipulative swine who pretends it's for charity while he, and others, line their pockets from gullible fans who actually think they're making a difference.

People can go march around the block and actually think it'll change anything more than showing free agents and rookies exactly why they shouldn't play for this team. Hey, the top two rookies quarterbacks have expressed doubts about playing for the Browns, better throw a parade in attempts to get thousands forming a directionless protest against the team that's fronted by a guy who offers nothing more than the fact he suggested the nonsense on twitter.

Trash. All of them.

Sashi and Depo should be front and center for the parade to display what a colossal failure moneyball/analytics is in the nfl.

It's supposed to be hard! If it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. The hard... is what makes it great!

Didn't their plan work? They just didn't get a chance to get to phase two.

celebrating anyones failure is a dick move period.

to put on a parade to further expose that is sicking.

I don't care what anyone says...those kids, those young kids worked their ass off to play and win.

to mock them is classless to an epic level

I can see that. The players did work their asses off and try very hard. They never gave up. Ever.

I'd guess this parade is not aimed at the players. More like the brass and coaches.

That stupid parade should be a freaking New Orleans style jazz funeral where the procession ends at the lake. The cortege should be led by Hue wearing a drysuit and carrying a box that looks like a coffin. When they reach the edge of the lake, Hue should wrap that coffin in a heavy chain and lock it(maybe swallow the key). Then turn to the crowd and say, “In this box is the futility and heartbreak of our past. I own it, but it will not define us. When I come back up, this will stay buried at the bottom of the lake. We will be born again, free from past’s burden, ready to restore the legacy you’ve had ripped away. The era of the loveable loser ends now.” With that he should jump in the lake, come back up without the coffin, shrug off a towel, and get to work.

Here's what you need to know to attend the "Perfect Season" parade

http://www.cleveland.com/browns/index.ss...art_river_index

Updated Dec 31, 5:22 PM; Posted Dec 31, 5:21 PM

By Zachariah Durr, cleveland.com zdurr@cleveland.com

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Well, here we are. After weeks of speculation, arguing and hoping that something, ANYthing would intervene, we have arrived at the countdown to the "Perfect Season" parade. Marking a completely winless season for the Cleveland Browns, the parade's Facebook page has had nearly 4,000 people click "going".

The brainchild of Chris McNeil, (known as "Reflog_18" on Twitter) the Perfect Season parade will be a march around FirstEnergy Stadium on January 6th, starting at noon. The parade will consist of Muni Lot regulars, RV's, some floats, and plenty of sign-carrying (possibly weeping) Browns fans.

Attendance is free, but if you want to march in the event, or apply to be the Queen of the parade, you need to sign up on the (also free) application page for the parade.

If you'd like to hear details from the organizer himself, check out the video above to hear what's certain to be a crazy spectacle coming this Saturday.

Unless something comes up or the wind chill is in the single digits, I'm driving up for the parade. Like it or not, this is part of Cleveland Browns history. It will definitely be more fun than the last couple games I suffered through at the stadium (except for the tailgates).

Its a free market, you can buy it or choose not to.

The NFL is not exactly a free market. There are not several teams that play in the city of Cleveland at the Pro- post college, NFL level.

I'm thinking we get The Raspberries! You know, "Please, Go All the Way!"

How many laps for this parade route? And who is MC?
