It seems you don't even know what the term is much less how much different scouting is between pro players and NCAA players.

And there's a helluva lot of crying and whining going on right now. Not to mention the rants and temper tantrums. It's really not a good look. lmao

The laughter we show in public......but then we go home and cry ourselves to sleep, every night, till draft time, then right after the draft we go back to crying into our pillows.....

I've been disappointed since Hoyer's injury. That's the last time I felt positive about this team.

Okay let me rephrase the question. How did he play this year? How many games did he start?

I just find it funny when people feel "disappointed" because a career back up gets hurt.

We actually need a franchise QB. Hoyer or no other career back up is ever going to be the answer.

At the time, wasn’t Hoyer suppose to be our bridge QB while we groomed his replacement, Johnny boy? Don’t think he was ever thought of as being the franchise guy.

And before you even question me on it, no I couldn’t stand Johnny and hated, no loathed that we drafted him, wanted Derek Carr

I wasn't a fan of drafting JFF either. But I certainly don't see why someone would become disappointed over losing a bridge QB.

Maybe my threshold for disappointment is just a little higher than some others.

I think they were disappointed in losing a guy that was helping us win, correct me if I’m wrong but weren’t we 7-4 at one point while Hoyer was here. We all are desperate for a winner, bridge QB or not

Hey, I just brought Hoyer up because the last time I felt positive about this team is when Hoyer the destroyer was doing his thing. I thought we found our qb, as did many others...maybe you included. What he's doing these days is irrelevant to my post.

The story is out there. People can believe it or believe we simply passed on JG. Belicheck knew we wanted him. We called him on numerous occasions.

He didn't make the trade not knowing we were interested. If bidding up the price was his aim, several teams would have been involved.

Hoyer was the thing the niners could offer....a back-up QB who knew the Pats system. That was the "value added" Billy wanted and needed.
He wasn't interested in us cutting Hogan or Kessler.

I don't know anything about that. I just know it all adds up to Billy dealing with the niners because they could offer a pick and cut a player he needed to slot in as back-up day one..

Eliot Wolf has in fact accepted the Browns offer to join their front office. He's agreed to a 4-year deal to work with GM John Dorsey

Green Bay had hoped to keep Wolf, and the Raiders spoke to him as well. He will take the title of Browns assistant GM. Worked w/Dorsey in GB

Ryan Grigson was let go too, possibly. His name is no longer on our staff website, but there has been no press release.

Wow, if anyone would have told us our front office would look like this a year ago would anyone have believed it? Dorsey, Hightower, Wolf, Berry, we should get talent now. Do you guys think this will help with free agency, I mean obviously it can’t hurt, but is it enough to overcome our bad rep.

I'm not mad about that. It will be unfortunate if Berry and Depo are let go, which is what I'm assuming will happen.

John Dorsey is building a front line of Green Bay men with Alonzo Highsmith and Eliot Wolf.

This isn't good news for Hue Jackson, I don't think.

i wonder why he doesn't think its good news for Hue?

this should be awesome news for Hue. the "i dont have any talent" indirect comments won't be an excuse anymore.

I don't know if Dorsey will bring in a big name FA or two, but he will get Hue some veteran guys, that way these rookies/2nd-3rd year players actually have experience to look up to on the field.

and then they will give Hue talent out of the Draft, and most likely, Hue will actually be able to pick his QB.

it's only bad news if we look at it from the perspective of Hue not having any excuses left.

When I read that the Raiders were interested hiring Eliot I thought, NO WAY does he take a job with the Browns.

That is a great pickup for the Browns.

Idk wether Hue will get to pick his QB. I mean his rep is based on being God’s with QBs, but as far as I know it’s not on evaluating the QB position from a scouts view. I think he will have somewhat of a voice but the scouts aren’t gonna stake their jobs on the evaluation of a coach.

This is one hell of a front office and when they nail this draft and free agency, I will be wearing a thank you sashi TShirt lol Thank you for the picks and thank you for tanking the McCaron trade that got you fired. Thank you for getting fired so we can get Wolf, Hightower and Dorsey in this building.

Which had been the biggest issue the past two years. Relying on Hue as far as QBs were concerned.

Matt Miller of Bleacher Report just said he thinks this new set-up could be one of the best in the NFL. We shall see.

Elliot Wolf's astute evaluation skills coming to @Browns. Remember morning of 2006 Draft he showed me tape of WR from @WesternMichU, said we were going to take him in 2nd round. We did @GregJennings..

dean...no one knows for sure how the power structure will shake out, but I think it's safe to say that Hue will be but one of many voices who discuss the QB position.

At least Hue will be working with people who have more football experience than the last couple years.

I feel much better with experienced football people working together to build this franchise into a winner. If they make changes in the coaching staff or the roster, I know there was thought put into the decision with the goal to make the Browns better.

Right. And good. Hue should stay away from the QB selection.

Thinking about it, if I'm interesting in becoming a GM in the NFL, I'm running to Cleveland. 0-16 and all these early draft picks and cap space, the Browns are bound to improve. It's going to look nice on my resume that I helped turn around the worst franchise in sports.

Swish, what leads you to believe that Hue wasn't able to pick his QB's...

I find it extremely improbable that wen Hue signed with the Browns he relinquished control over his QB's, why would he ever do that?

Not just that, but what would Sashi win by not giving Hue his QB and alienating his HC...

Not only Hue was selected by Sashi,Hue was determinant for the credibility of the project, and the QB issue was at the time of Hue's signing a big issue with the organization.

Hue signed to the "Sachi's" Browns project, he was at that time in a position to demand what he wanted from the Harvard crew, its for me very hard to believe all this Hue had no saying on roster and QB selection...
