The problem I have with the Biblical approach of ‘we need to turn away from ‘sinful’ things is what you’re asking these people to do is to go through life without love. To go through life without intimacy. I’m sorry but I can’t believe God wants any of his creation to walk their years on this planet without human companionship and love.
This isn’t alcohol or heroin. This is a basic human need for connection with another human being. God’s love is many things. But one can’t cuddle with it on the couch after a hard day at work. One can’t look it in the eye and feel that sense of comfort and connection we only get from being in love with someone.
So if God wants this for his children he’s pretty cruel.
It is what it is. You either live for the flesh or you live for the spirit. Life is not fair. Never has and never will be. So he can't cuddle up the way he wants. Cry me a river to the people who live life morally just fine when they can't even put food in their belly and people they know are dying left and right. At the end of the day it's a choice. You live for the flesh and get burned up with it or you live for the spirit and tough it out through this brief existence and live forever with God. It's a personal choice we all have to make and the consequences are on us too. It's not like God didn't warn anybody. The Bible is very clear on the matter because it IS a sinful lifestyle. Doesn't matter if we like it or not. It is what it is. No crying about it later on now you hear  btw 1+1=-2 in this forum ... =P
You can't fix stupid but you can destroy ignorance. When you destroy ignorance you remove the justifications for evil. If you want to destroy evil then educate our people. Hate is a tool of the stupid to deal with what they can't understand.
