You do realize there's a difference between being PC and acting like a jack wad, right?
That distinction isn’t often evident in this particular forum.

Yeah, MLK's nephew said he wasn't a racist, but that he's "racially ignorant and racially uninformed". http://www.cnn.com/2018/01/12/politics/i...rump/index.htmlSO much better!

Who cares about esteem and regard?
Obama held plenty of both, and he did more than his fair share of immoral acts. Sometimes I think a lot of these people are more concerned with couth than draconian policy.
The fact that Trump is a racist and senile moron is very pertinent point, but I feel that what's more important is that, apparently, so long as you can present the notion that you're not a blathering incompetent, some of these horrific policies are fine.
Look at Obama's engagement and actions with Haiti and some of the countries we're talking about - deplorable and immoral. But since he could orate and give people the feeling that they were being progressive, no one cared.

While I don't disagree with you, I do think portraying some sense of intelligence, stability and consistency coming from the United States as a good thing.

What prompts you to defend this man?
It's somewhat amusing and extremely hypocritical that those defending him are the same who were/are insulted about HRC's "deplorable" comment (and, let me state very clearly that was a horrible thing for her to say and she paid dearly for it. That was when the election was lost). AND, they are also the same people who constantly whine about "elite liberal coastal people" disrespecting middle America etc. Well, imagine if a coastal Democrat referred to the industrial midwest using the same word that Trump used? Same thing, right? Yet, I'm sure the Republicans on this board and those in Congress would be very quick to criticize if that happened. AND, if that scenario happened they rightfully should be criticized and held accountable. It's completely unacceptable for any politician to have such blatant disrespect and disregard and to show a lack of heart or empathy for humanity. But then again, Trump constantly shows he only cares about himself.

I took the time to re-read this post earlier this morning.
I read lots of what-abouts, equivalences and turnabout rhetorical questions. You did a masterful job of parsing my post line-by-line, which I could follow into the weeds. I'm not entirely sure what you mean by that statement.
In all of that, you didn't answer the one- the one and only question I asked you:
What prompts you to defend this man? Not just this time, but almost every time? This blustery, low-info blowhard whom you and I would probably avoid at backyard barbecue or tailgate? This Ƌ00d who shows a tenth of your character and class?
Can you give me a direct answer to a direct question?
Thanks in advance.
Pretty sure I answered that question when I posted this: Here's my bottom line: The flat out HATRED of anything the current President does, especially on here, is beyond belief.
Class seems to be a word that only applies if "your" person got elected. Once again, a double standard.
Do I agree with everything he says and does? No, I don't. But really, to read the news, the guy gets crap over EVERYTHING! CONSTANT and non stop. Even on here, by a number of individuals, it's the same thing day after day after day. Very little substance, but absolute vitriol. You yourself have stated you've disliked Trump since something like the 80's. The shallow things he's done get made out to be nuclear accusations by some, including most of the press, and that same group on here. He said a bad word, in a private meeting. Check out how many other presidents have done that - it might surprise you. His color? This "gripe" is laughable. I can't even imagine how some would go to that level. It's pathetic, really, in light of the former president. Even more so when you realize he takes a medication that might, MIGHT have that side affect. It's the constant bashing of him, over things D's have done hundreds of times, that's what makes me defend him. (and that's not the same as 'supporting' him, even though I did vote for him. Now, you tell me: What has he done as president to make you, and others, hate him so much? Be specific if you can. Don't tell me about unproven 'russian' ties, unless you also bring up proven russian ties by the person he beat. Don't tell me about actions on illegal immigrants which, by definition, ARE illegal. Don't tell me about P.R. and the hurricane and the no support "since they are of a different color", as we have people here in the states that are ALSO still recovering from hurricanes from much longer ago. Yup, even whitey's. Wanna talk about people in his administration? Go ahead, but be prepared to defend all of O's tax cheats as well. He's a pervert? What's he done while sitting in the presidents seat? Tell me. Then talk to me about Mr. Cigar in the oval office. I get damn sick and tired of anything he does being blown up. And really, I do get damn sick and tired of being labeled a racist because I voted for him. Being called a bigot. As I said before, the 'left' is showing just how tolerant they are by, anytime you disagree with them, tossing out labels, instantly. I get damn sick and tired of being labeled based on the simple, idiotic fact that since I voted for Trump in the Presidential election over hillary, that somehow that translates into me supporting the Moore guy in Alabama. Hell, when the Clintons had a fire in their house in NY, the headline was something along the lines of "Clinton house has fire as Trump whitehouse burns." Dear God, Clemmy, if every time you posted something, no matter what it was, you got labeled a loser and a racist and a bigot, and all the other 'labels' out there, I would read what the hell you posted, and make my OWN damn determination and I'd defend you if/when/where needed. "Trump eats a horrible diet". Hell, I've even seen on social media that "trump has golfed more in 1 year than Obama did in 8", and the people that post that get it from some dumbass liberal blog. I could go on and on and on and on about the stupid stuff. It gets old, especially when his competition had done pretty much the same, or worse. I replied to you because I respect you.

Thanks for your observations. Sounds familiar enough.
I'm unwilling to paint arch with that brush. It's why I've asked him directly. We go back at least a decade, and brother has earned enough of my respect to have a chance to explain his support of this- person.

Well, imagine if a coastal Democrat referred to the industrial midwest using the same word that Trump used? Same thing, right?
Well, 'that' word hasn't been used. At least in public. But, the elite coastal PEOPLE, not just dem's, have absolutely insinuated that they are better than the rust belt. Many on here, even. I have an aunt, uncle, and 2 cousins in Seattle. It amazes me how they nonchalantly denigrate the midwest - Ohio specifically. It's constant. We even, when they 'visit' get the whole "we don't eat beef. Do you have fresh caught Salmon? That's the only meat we eat. Beef is so bad for you." Oh, yeah, uncle is a millionaire. Due in part to his engineering job that he retired from at age 52, but due in much more part to his dad's manufacturing business - here in Ohio. That family doesn't get it. They want everyone else to pay more in taxes to help others, yet in the next sentence he'll be talking about how he gets out of taxes, legally, of course. And their poor son. He, the world traveler. Cal Poly student, til he quit to go to the U of Washington. Yeah, when the 'rust belt' gets ignored by the liberal elites, it shows up. The 'elites' from any political party, be they on the coasts, or right here, just don't get this thing called 'life'. JMO

Or ignoring other countries as "insignificant". I know for certain that the Europeans have a hard time buying that we have it better given our status in the world on education or the issues regarding the cost of healthcare, the opioid crisis and our obsessions with guns and the 2nd amendment leading to the insane gun violence statistics.

I'm right with you there. 100%. America is not "better".

Lost me just a bit here. Drugs are bad. Are we the only country that has a drug problem? Education. Wow - I could go on at length on this: I won't, because it would simply be my opinion based on my real life experiences, observations, and reality. And no one wants to hear about my opinion.

Definitely not the only country with a drug problem, but the opioid issue we are experiencing due to doctors overly prescribing narcotics is uniquely American. Regarding Education...my comment was based solely on the fact that we are placing further and further down the list when it comes to various statistics. I know full well that one cannot look at stats or tests alone when we are talking about the whole child and achieving their potential. And, I also know that an urban classroom in LA, Chicago, Little Rock etc. is going to look significantly different than one in a Democratic Socialist region such as Scandinavia. However, in a world that looks at and relies on these things (tests and stats) as a specific benchmark...it is becoming increasingly harder to ignore or dismiss them.

If you read what I said you will notice I said "Reasonable" Black voices. I do not find that here in these threads. Why don't you just say what you really men. You agree with the black voices who say what you want to hear. Listening to anything else doesn't work for you.

Fox Code Word - "forgotten men and women".
Who is being referred to with this term? I'm going to assume it's Trump supporters and not working class whites that have beef with all the "others"... Well I guess that would be the same klan.

Yea, it’s definitely code word.
I ain’t never been in a bar with people talking like that.
But to be fair, I also never been in a locker room where men bragged about sexually assaulting women.
Maybe I’m just a loser.

That's all that needs said. Like typical, when you have nothing, you resort to this kind of stuff. I condone sexual assault? Man, that's off the charts. I've been called racist, and all sorts of things by you and your ilk. Pathetic. I know you don't really think that about me. But, crap charges like this from you, and others, shows 1 thing, and it darn sure isn't anything about me. But, I won't play your game.

And now that I hit you back with you’re own BS, you’re trying to play victim.
Honestly grow a pair of balls. You are extremely soft and I get annoyed talking to you.
If you don’t want somebody talking trash to you, then keep your mouth shut and you won’t have that problem.

Yes, you clearly did, as when the tapes dropped, guess who you still voted for?
All you had to do was keep your mouth shut. I didn’t address you whatsoever, but you had to say something.
So yea, smashing different women isn’t illegal. Sexually assaulting women is VERY illegal.
I’m not saying anything that isn’t true. So the only one making ridiculous statements is you.
Honestly, log off and try again tomorrow. You’re getting blasted in multiple threads cause you don’t know what you’re talking about. Reset yourself.

Lol that’s because most people you know don’t see the nonsense you post on here.
Two faced.
You just tried to imply that I sexually assaulted some of the women I was with.
That’s highly disgusting on your part. But I expect nothing less from a trump supporter. The more you post, the worse you look.
I haven’t made any false accusations p, but you have. Keep going, this is awesome.

They agree, you’re a disgusting person. Cool. So you were feeling unsure of yourself, and needed your wife to back you up. You just tried to imply that I sexually assaulted some of the women I was with. Yet, you can say I endorse sexual assault? Dude, when you fall off that horse you're on, it'll be a long fall. Sure, just like the people who voted for Roy Moore condone pedophilia
Just like the people who are supporting the sheriff support racial discrimination.
I mean damn dude, we ain’t even talking about typical rich boy crimes like screwing over contractors or shady business deals. We got politicians on both sides doing nonsense like that all the time so it’s whatever.
But, We’re talking about sexual assault. We’re talking about s guy who walks into dressing room of young girls and women unannounced. We’re talking about a guy who paid hush money to keep a porn star from running her mouth. We’re talking about a guy who would try to bang his own daughter if nobody would make a big deal out of it.
^^^ all that is FACTS. And yet you, a conservative, mr family values, decided to go “ya know what, That’s not a big deal so I’ll vote for him anyway”
So when you voted for THAT, you absolutely told the world you condone sexual assault.
But then you have some sort of audacity to attempt to make a moral equivalency because I got with a lot of women?
And THEN when that BS fell apart, you then tried to imply that maybe I sexually assaulted some of them?
Yea dude, you are living up to the deplorable label straight up.
And btw, my wife was asking what I was laughing about, so I showed this failure of an argument you’re attempting.
Ya know, my FIRST and ONLY wife.

Jc How did I miss this thread? Just how?
Apparently the fox news dude has never been to a bar ever.
As one of the "forgotten" people, who hangs out at bars all the time, I can tell you that nobody talks like that.
Ever.
Like never.
Politics even rarely comes up. But if it does, its about Trump and not other countries.
I do not know what kinds of bars that guy hangs out at. Probably none, because he is not likely cool enough to hang at a bar.

I dunno.
This was definitely on par with the failed “lockeroom talk” excuse.
They say anything hopefing it will fly.
