I tried again. Traded out of #1, got the Broncos future #1 (analytics FTW :D). I can't see Rosen falling and was gutted Minkah was taken but I'd take this draft. I traded back into the first to pick up the best receiver available.
Your score is: 20806 (GRADE: A-)

Impossible, but oh what a draft: Your score is: 21338 (GRADE: A-) Your Picks: Round 1 Pick 4: Josh Rosen, QB, UCLA (A+) Round 1 Pick 7 (T.B.): Minkah Fitzpatrick, CB/FS, Alabama (A+) Round 1 Pick 18 (SEA): Josh Jackson, CB, Iowa (B+) Round 2 Pick 1: Mike McGlinchey, OT, Notre Dame (B+) Round 2 Pick 8 (DEN): James Washington, WR, Oklahoma State (A) Round 2 Pick 31 (N.E.): Josey Jewell, ILB, Iowa (A-) Round 3 Pick 1: Jalyn Holmes, DE, Ohio State (A) Round 3 Pick 31 (N.E.): Isaiah Oliver, CB, Colorado (A) Round 4 Pick 1: Quin Blanding, FS, Virginia (A) Round 5 Pick 1: Sony Michel, RB, Georgia (A) Round 6 Pick 1: Auden Tate, WR, Florida State (A+) Round 7 Pick 1: Kentavius Street, DT, North Carolina State (A-) Your Future Picks: 2019 Round 1 Pick 2019 Round 1 Pick (DEN) 2020 Round 1 Pick

If we could get 2 of these 4 I would be shocked!!

Here is a thought? Trade down with the NYG to #2 for their 2nd and take Darnold/Rosen, we have the QB we wanted. Then trade down to #5 with Denver who needs a QB, take their 2nd and take Barkley/Fitzpatrick we have the 2 players we wanted and 5 2nds. take 2 2nds trade back into the 1st and take Ridley you then have 3 top players and still have your 3 2nds ... Just a thought

Oh and you could get the NYG/Denver to bite if you made it known you were trading out of the 1st/4th spots ...

I usually try to avoid mocks until a little later, but what the heck. Did this one on Fanspeak using Matt Miller's latest big board. I see some of these picks as unrealistic falls, but I'll take it.
1.1 - Josh Rosen, QB, UCLA. 1.4 - Minkah Fitzpatrick, FS, Alabama. 2.33 - Denzel Ward, CB, Ohio State. 2.35 - Sony Michel, RB, Georgia. 2.63 - Billy Price, C, Ohio State. 3.65 - James Washington, WR, Oklahoma State. 4.103 - Zachary Crabtree, OT, Oklahoma State. 4.125 - Marcus Davenport, DE, UTSA. 5.140 - Allen Lazard, WR, Iowa State. 5.161 - Darius Phillips, CB, Western Michigan. 6.179 - Johnathan Ledbetter, DE, Georgia. 7.220 - Azeem Victor, LB, Washington.

I'm posting this one because I tried to go BPA, as much as need would allow. I tried not to reach farther than five slots to take a position of need. It's seemed somewhat realistic to me in terms of who would be where when. My one reach was Damon Webb. I want him in our secondary, even if it's in a backup role for a while.
This is Fanspeak Pro, with Miller's Big Board, Fanspeak's needs, random boards & Difficult setting.
1: R1P1 QB JOSH ROSEN UCLA 4: R1P4 S MINKAH FITZPATRICK ALABAMA 33: R2P1 CB ISAIAH OLIVER COLORADO 35: R2P3 LB MALIK JEFFERSON TEXAS 63: R2P31 RB SONY MICHEL GEORGIA 65: R3P1 WR JAMES WASHINGTON OKLAHOMA STATE 103: R4P1 OT JAMARCO JONES OHIO STATE 125: R4P23 CB QUENTON MEEKS STANFORD 140: R5P1 WR ALLEN LAZARD IOWA STATE 161: R5P22 DL POONA FORD TEXAS 179: R6P1 C SCOTT QUESSENBERRY UCLA 220: R7P1 S DAMON WEBB OHIO STATE
I'd be very happy with this draft.

If you could only get 4 good players, that have to stick and not bust, and be Real players as John Dorsey would say, in this draft, Who would they be.
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

Mel Kiper has released his latest mock draft, and the veteran ESPN draft analyst brings the controversy right off the top with his first selection for the Cleveland Browns. Kiper projects Wyoming quarterback Josh Allen to Cleveland with the first pick. I’ve gone back and forth a few times on Josh Rosen, Sam Darnold and Allen, but I just moved Allen up to my No. 1 quarterback. His numbers aren’t impressive, I know. But the NFL is all about projection, and he has a high ceiling. Coaches want to work with the 6-foot-5 Allen because he has all of the tools This isn’t the first time we’ve seen Allen projected to the Browns, but Kiper is the most prominent pundit to promote this possibility. It will be interesting to see how much this changes after next week’s Senior Bowl, where Allen will be participating. With the No. 4 pick, Kiper sends Penn State running back Saquon Barkley to the Browns. This is a very popular pick among mock drafts right now; of the 22 mock drafts we track, Barkley at the 4 spot is the current forecast in more than half of them. Kiper notes Barkley is his No. 1 overall player and goes on to state, “Barkley is a big-time running back, and I think he’ll be a top-10 pick. He is built for today’s NFL as a do-it-all runner and pass-catcher out of the backfield.” http://brownswire.usatoday.com/2018/01/1...browns-at-no-1/

I think we should take Barkley at #1. There will be a QB we like available at #4 or lower.

If you could only get 4 good players, that have to stick and not bust, and be Real players as John Dorsey would say, in this draft, Who would they be. This is a really good question. First a foremost #1 Rosen or Darnold. Whoever they draft needs to be the Browns QB for the next 10+ years. #4 A free Safety like Minkah Fitzpatrick. The defense needs a smart center fielder with good coverage skills. Must hit here. #33 Tackle so I am hoping that either McGlinchy or Orlando Brown fall to the top of round 2 and with Joe either done or soon to be done they need to find another anchor to the Oline. #35 A cornerback that is badly needed to upgrade the secondary.

It's depressing in that we still need so many pieces
We need a QB, RB, WR(2), OT, CB(2), and FS. I am sure that Williams would also like another edge rusher or 2 to plug into his rotation as well.

This is a mock I did on the premise we have picked up a veteran QB who may be more than a bridge. McCarron or Cousins or AN Other. All my previous mocks were based on taking Rosen at #1 or so.
Your Picks: Round 1 Pick 1: Saquon Barkley, RB, Penn State (A) Round 1 Pick 6 (NYJ): Minkah Fitzpatrick, CB/FS, Alabama (A+) Round 1 Pick 14 (G.B.): Josh Jackson, CB, Iowa (A+) Round 2 Pick 3: Equanimeous St. Brown, WR, Notre Dame (A-) Round 2 Pick 5 (NYJ): Tremaine Edmunds, OLB, Virginia Tech (A-) Round 4 Pick 1: Luke Falk, QB, Washington State (A+) Round 5 Pick 1: Deontay Burnett, WR, Southern California (A+) Round 6 Pick 1: Tyrell Crosby, OT, Oregon (A+) Round 7 Pick 1: Riley Ferguson, QB, Memphis (A+)
The secondary is hugely improved. Barkley helps the run game. I think St. Brown may drop due to production this year but he's a big target (6-4) and I think will be an excellent receiver. Edmunds adds depth to LB and bite to the pass rush. Faulk / Ferguson sit and develop alongside Kizer. Crosby I think could be a good tackle but was injured most of 2016.
I wanted to address the secondary and receiver whilst adding a genuine blue chip talent on offense (Barkley). I would have liked to pick up another rush end but Edmunds fills 2 holes. I also envisage Peppers playing more LB/S with Kindred and Fitz as safeties.

Not taking a QB at 1 or 4 is risky. OTs go fast. Barkley gone if not taken at one.

If this simulator is any indication, and I can't make trades up or down... This draft is going to be tough. I think we make a few trades up.

Dream scenario right here. Then just draft Guice in the top of the 2nd... Link I guess technically nightmares are dreams.

This is a mock I did on the premise we have picked up a veteran QB who may be more than a bridge. McCarron or Cousins or AN Other. Can't agree with you here. I do not know how anyone can see McCarron as more than a bridge QB considering that he has done nothing in the NFL. Actually, based on what little he has done, I am not sure how anyone can even see him as a bridge QB. If we pick McCarron up in FA and then not get a QB at the top of the 1st round, we deserve to not win any games next year.

Armani Watts is a Texas A&M Safety. Did not play for Alabama and Saban.

We should draft a QB #1 regardless of who we sign in FA.
