Well, it's a fresh take and one we haven't already heard thousands and thousands of times.

I hope to God he doesn't make it to 4-12.....are you kidding me?

Eight games under .500?

Sorry man, I expect better than that. If he wins 11 games, I will start to get behind him. Even 8-9 for that matter.

But you sights and standards are too low if you are willing to ride out a 4-12 season before doing something. Win 1, lose 3, win 1, lose 3. Sorry, I have no interest in that.

At some point we need to win or move on. Next year is the year IMO.

If we win because of Haley or whoever, Hue gets to ride the coattails in my book.....unless he just makes goofy decisions, but when you win games, those can be overlooked.

It's about wins. Like it or not, Tom Landry has a won loss record. Tex doesn't.

Just remember, I didn't make the rules that were set some time back.

Tom had a bad record at the start. The way some talk, Hue is about to embark on a similar great run over the next 12 years.

I sincerely hope you are right. I am ready.

We need to be. This may turn out like crap like everything else we have done, be it new front office guys, new coaches, new players, new owner. I remember the board going nuts when we signed Ross Verba. He was the guy who was going to change things.

We have had our share of hopeful moments. Sooner of later one of these big changes is bound to work, right?

So what do YOU have to say about what HE actually posted? My guess is you will post nothing because he put all opinion and no emotion into his comment and he didn't disparage the opinions of others while doing so. Now THAT should be what is refreshing to you.

As I said me...its maybe only me. But I will observe and be critical on Hue's Prowess as a HC starting this season (assuming we get a Franchise QB n Vet QB to start) cause we are built to win - maybe not SB win but go for our division at the least.

As I said you got your mind on two many things as a HC one of which is to keep the team together and not give up. That is a major distraction.

Now we will have talent (assuming QB) we have the Coordicators.

Game plan will have a different feeling for Hue cause in the past it is how do we remotely keep in the game so we can have a shot at winning in the fourth quarter.

Now we can actually do football!

So for me, I'm throwing the past out the window and will judge Hue on this season. Also could I be anymore clearer in the fact he actually has to WIN this year and if its losing like 0-6 the patience is gone as will be Hue.

But I seriously doubt that will happen. Now we will see if hes a "Superstar" HC (thank you btw for listening wink ) and I hope we get that Superstar QB the essential winning variables needed for a dynasty. Written by Ron Wolf in his book and btw before Brady and Bellicheck started theirs.

Hue can't win a game and lose three for long. Heck, that might be the end of the line if we are sitting at 1-4 after 5 games.

I think it depends how the team collectively performs. If we end up starting a rookie, who does dumb rookie things, but the team is collectively performing better but not quite getting the wins, then I can understand Haslam being excited about the future and wanting to continue with the vision.

I don't like to place the onus of winning on a rookie. They're usually awful and will struggle to carry their own weight, much less anyone else's weight.

At the end of the day, this is still very much a team more about upside than being win-ready.

We absolutely have to see more consistent football, however, and a repeat of the last two seasons cannot happen. I do think 5/6 wins, with a lot of moral victories, could result in no changes assuming a bright future is appears certain.

No doubt there is always circumstance that can be considered. Note I did say "that Might be" the end of the line.

The word "might" is a important word in the context of the though.

Marcus Peters - DB - Chiefs

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora "continues to hear" that LCB Marcus Peters "may not be long" for Kansas City.

La Canfora is not the first to mention a potential Peters trade, and he expects that chatter to "intensify" at the NFL Combine. The Chiefs were left in horrible salary-cap condition by fired GM John Dorsey and may not believe they can fit a forthcoming Peters extension onto their books. For 2018, however, Peters is signed for just $1.74 million. Ideally, the Chiefs would keep Peters for at least one more year, and perhaps revisit a trade next offseason.

Clearly a move designed by Dorsey to bring Peters to the Browns once he got here. What incredible foresight!

I'd trade one of our two later second round picks for Marcus Peters. We'd have him for very cheap in 2018 and then could pick up his fifth year option in 2019 (if he's not signed to an extension).

I believe that veteran players available through trade are a huge undervalued asset. Getting a known entity for a second draft pick, especially when we have a ton of draft picks, is a pretty great move (it's also part of how the Eagles made a quick turnaround with their non-football guy GM).

LaConfora...what a tool and he hates the Browns so now its Dorsey's fault that they are in cap hell...not Reid lol laugh

Then they go and talk about one of the best CBs out there being paid 1.7mil or something along those lines. But wait I though Dorsey was incompetent managing the Cap?

Do not like the guy or his reporting. This would be a welcome addition IMO. Did Dorsey say anything good today?

He said his door is open to discussing the #1 pick in trades, but I think that's what he is supposed to say as GM. Everything else was pretty general. Didn't reveal to much, which is good.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — John Dorsey might make a deal for the top pick in this year's NFL draft — if the price is the right.

At the league's scouting combine on Thursday, the Cleveland Browns general manager took his sales pitch public.

"There are a lot of things we can do at No. 1 and not just get a quarterback," Dorsey said. "If someone wants to come up and make a trade, I'd make a trade, too. Just give me a call and see what's up."

Cleveland's constant quest to find the right quarterback has become perhaps the most-watched show in the league.

They've used 28 different starters since 1999, and it's unclear if they'll cast aside yet another youngster, DeShone Kizer, after he led the league in interceptions and went 0-15 as the starter.

Dorsey has the advantage of having watched Kizer perform in the final four games of 2017.

"What I really liked was how much he improved from week to week," Dorsey said. "I think I've told you that a young quarterback usually makes exponential growth from Year 1 to Year 2."

Back home, anxious fans are still clamoring to find that elusive franchise quarterback.

They're frustrated after watching Cleveland whiff on Johnny Manziel in 2015, trade the No. 2 pick to Philadelphia in 2016 that allowed the Eagles to choose Carson Wentz and pass last year on Deshaun Watson. Instead, they took Kizer in the second round.

And with a deep quarterback class and two of the top four picks in April, some think this could finally be the time. Dorsey might not see it the same way.

After acknowledging the Browns interviewed an unnamed quarterback on Wednesday night and intend to meet all of the big names before the bulk of the combine work wraps up Sunday, he dropped no hints about what the Browns might do with either pick.

Instead, he's looking for long-term solutions.

Coach Hue Jackson, who is 1-31 over the last two seasons, certainly isn't advocating for more change.

"I would hope not," Jackson said when asked Wednesday if he intends to start a rookie QB. "There's going to be other opportunities as we all know. We've just got to see how it all fits as we move forward."

Finding a veteran quarterback in free agency, such as AJ McCarron, remains a possibility, too.

But if a quarterback-needy team is willing to make a quality offer, Dorsey could spend all of those precious picks on putting a better supporting cast around Kizer.

Dorsey also didn't provide an update on the status of longtime left tackle Joe Thomas. After playing more than 10,000 consecutive snaps, Thomas ended the season on injured reserve with a torn left triceps and has been pondering retirement.

"I have greatly admired Joe from his time at Wisconsin through his time with the Browns," Dorsey said. "I think he deserves a little respect and when it comes time to make the proper decision, I'm sure he'll make it."

Never say never but Dorsey knows its his job to find a QB. It would take the deal of the century and must include a starting QB for Dorsey to trade our #1.

I just want a winner. We need players who can be part of the solution not part of the problem.

All of the guys being interviewed are saying a whole lot of nothing. I hope we don't trade out of 1 or 4. We have plenty of picks. What we don't have is much talent. We need difference makers.
