My point is there has never been a situation like this ever before so how on earth could you make that claim as fact...but thanks for not just coming out and calling me a dumb ass. rolleyes

Where did I call you a dumbass?
And how was my response to the scenario you laid out an 'insult'?

You didn't and it wasn't. And you're right, nobody is giving up a multitude of picks for a QB who is 41. Well, maybe Irsay. lol

Sorry, I read earlier that Bob LaMonte and Josh McDaniels parted ways earlier in McDaniels' career, but I can't find the source.

Tony Dungy is ripping McDaniels as well.

Dungy said that the colts went out and hired asst's, Apparently at McDaniels request and then pulled this stunt.

Yeah, it's a pretty classless move.

I think is done IMO.

JM found out and he bailed.

Think about this as it has a play on what we do.

With AL playing, Cleveland take anyone they want at 1, and then a QB at 4 minus whatever QB NY takes. If luck is out, Cleveland is forced to take QB at 1, then NY take a QB and Colts take a QB, and we take whoever we want at 4.

If our plan is taking a QB at with 1 or 4, having Luck out benefits us if we learn about it before the draft IMO

I think that there is no way we put off the QB till 4, and risk having other teams jump to 2 and/or 3 to grab a QB we like.

Ever since the middle of last year when Jim Irsay called Luck out, saying the injury was "all in his head" and he thought Luck should already been playing, I have had this suspicion that the Colts will trade Luck.

So if McDaniels accepted the job after interviewing, but then went in for a meeting after the Super Bowl, only to hear that Irsay is trading Luck, wouldn't this also make McDaniels back out of the job. Who wants to start a coaching job in total rebuild (ask Hue Jackson about that).

The dream scenario that I keep seeing played out in my head is this. Hot head Irsay is upset with Luck. He traded for a younger, cheaper Brissett and he looked "serviceable". The Colts as a whole are god awful! They lack talent, playmakers, and the core of the team is up there in age. So, if you want to start from scratch, you can't have a $28 million dollar QB.

So, Irsay trades Luck to the Browns for either #1 or #4 overall, and he now has 2 picks in the top 4, and has a lot of cap space to start over. That is a great way to start a team!

We then have Luck (of course pending a deep and invasive physical by trusted doctors), behind the best offensive line he has EVER played behind. He has Gordon, Coleman, and hopefully another free agent WR, PLUS Barkley. All of a sudden, we have an offense!!!

I know it seems a bit far fetched, but I can't help but think it could be an underlying reason McDaniels left?

I don't think they'll trade Luck, but I think there is certainly some major concern regarding his future.

There has been reports that people inside Indianapolis aren't as optimistic behind closed doors as they are in the media. D'Qwell Jackson has said openly that he doesn't think Luck ever plays another down.

The Colts should be a red-hot destination. A coach dreams of linking up with a player like Andrew Luck. If he's done, or at least there is question if he'll ever be the same, I can understand McDaniels backing out.

I wouldn't trade for Luck. If they're willing to move him, there is no doubt in their mind he'll no longer be the Andrew Luck that we know and love.

Language and semantics are wonderful.

Some people have a gift for it.

For example, which statement is more true?

Quote:

or

I would be hesitant to trade for Luck. If they're willing to move him, one might wonder if they think that Luck has not nor will ever recover from his injury.

Dearest mother —
Glorious day! It appears the unit will have a new general soon. Frank Reich shall take command. His Eagles were the ultimate victor last campaign. Now, the time has come to shed his feathers and attach some horse shoes. Invigorating.

They really are funny. Kudos to the owner of the Twitter handle.
