Great block and final shot by Lebron tonight.

And at the very least? They were competitive again. (And won!)

That was the best block since Lebron stuffed Curry in the Finals and then said, 'MVP'?

Much needed win against a playoff team in the west.

Lebron with a triple double tonight. And loved seeing Osman get some quality minutes.

phew, good win ... nice ending

I think its clear that crowder and IT were products of being coached by Stevens and don't fit on this team. No way should either be taking minutes from guys like rose and osman. I hope this continues and we see alot more of Osman, he's raw as hell but dude isn't going to stop going 100%, he's always going to run on breaks, get back on defense..it rubs off on others. One thing I noticed, he knows where he's supposed to be on defense, he knows the rotations and switches, unlike a guy such as TT who's always in the wrong spot. KAT got so many open looks because TT sagged off his switch or PNP. Not to just bag on TT, but it was more to the point that alot of these defensive issues are guys not being aggressive and being in the right spot. Thats alot on coaching, if they can't abide they shouldn't be playing

I think Osman is exactly what this team needs and has been the intangible part this team has missed since we lost Delly. We need to have that high-energy guy in there, especially when the team is dragging. They might not look very athletic, they don't stuff a stat sheet, they occasionally make awkward plays, but that 100% energy they give at all times translates to everyone else on the team.

Varejao was that guy the first time around with Lebron. Delly was the guy when we won the Championship. Osman needs to be that guy now ... and Lue needs to give the dude minutes.

How is our future better without Lebron? He is the main attraction for decent players coming to Cle. Without him, which allstars are going to want to sign in Cle?

What all-stars have come here WITH LeBron? A broken down DWade and DRose? What kind of production are we getting from them? The only guy we have signed that comes close to fitting that description is Kevin Love and by most accounts that has been a pretty tenuous relationship at times..

the only other legit all-star we had, Kyrie, wanted to leave BECAUSE of LeBron...

I'm not a LeBron hater but the dude is his own worst enemy.. this is shaping up just like the first time he left.. he won't commit to staying here more than a year at a time but he wants these other all-stars (or even first tier role players) to sign 4 year deals to come here and they aren't willing to do it knowing that next year they might be on their own... Then when we can't sign any, he can leave and say he wasn't getting enough help...

I honestly don't know what motivates the guy.. is it winning championships? Is it just competing for championships? Is it being a billionaire? Is it playing basketball with his buddies?

yeah and last year a guy like RJ, someone that doesn't have any agenda other than playing as hard as they can, we have too many guys waiting for someone else to make a play. Osman is like honey badger, he's just going to play his game. The decision to stop playing him, calderon, and frye all together when people came back was dumb coaching and I believe led to this funk, What happened to easing guys back in so they don't disrupt everything. Lue to me isn't a good coach, I believe he's a big part of the problem. All we can hope is he isn't as dumb as he looks and realizes he has more than 7 players and sometimes you need all 15 to find something

make no mistake, they were still horrid last night on the defensive end, but we could score, defense is something you play all the time so you don't HAVE to score 130 points every game

I tuned into the 4th quarter and OT. Was going to peep the score and saw it was still a game so why not?

That rejection by LBJ was keyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy, then the closeout shot. A win where honestly, I figured it was going to be an utter beat down.

Exactly. If I lived in Vegas, I would have put $500 on the Twolves. It's why sports betting and me don't mix.

I'd rather not lose Frye though. He's kind of a glue guy like RJ was.

Love seeing IT go. Hate to see Frye go.

This may put a damper on the Road Trippin' podcast Frye does with Allie Clifton.

Cavs are taking on long-term money and helping the Lakers clear cap space, opening up LA's 2018 free agency dreams. The Cavs are wagering they're keeping LeBron with this move.

Cavs will now be barred from trading the Brooklyn Nets pick they own until after the draft. So that issue can be retired.

Eh ... The best part of this move seems to be getting the locker-room cancer that is IT off the team.

Nance Jr is going to be a better defender than Love and Frye, but he's not the lane presence I think some were hoping for. He's averaging 8pts/7rbs a game, which is a little better than Tristan this year. He can shoot a little better than him too, but he's not going to stretch the floor like Love.

I think Clarkson is a defensive liability and he's also not much of a 3 point shooter.

Did the Cavs just help the Lakers clear cap space?

(Yes.)

Is the Kyrie Irving trade a disaster of epic proportions?

(Yes.)

Well, Thomas was a rectangular peg in a small round hole, and he was just never going to fit, while trying to play his shot back into shape.

I hate to see Frye go, but we really had nothing else to trade. Nance will add some defense, and will get some minutes with Love out .... but he's not the floor spacer that Love is, by any stretch. He is a defensive improvement for us, though.

I like Clarkson. I wonder if he'll start, or come off the bench. He will not get a ton if shots, but he has to be a better fit than Thomas was. He isn't much of a defender though. He's 6'5", though, so hopefully he can get improve his footwork, (which is terrible on defense) and his defense.

I like the trade, and I think that it will help us improve.

I'd say Clarkson, forgot he could do PG. He's putting up similar stats to Wade this year and he's younger. Might as well put the wear and tear on the younger guy.

Here's this year's PER 48 stats. Clarkson was doing better than most our guys, but the Lakers probably utilize him a lot more.
