I hope to see the draft shaking out 1 of 2 ways
1. (1) Josh Rosen (4) Barkley (if he checks out medically and is willing to play for the Browns) Rosen is the best QB in the Draft and Barkley is the best RB in the draft... think Cowboys with Dak and Zeek.
2. (1) Barkely (4) Mayfield (Browns buy stock in duct tape for Mayfield's mouth) in this case, I think Barkley is the guy you gotta lock up first Darnold falls and we can draft Mayfield.
Dream Scenario Browns Sign Cousins
1. Barkley 4. Fitz
Hunter + Dart = This is the way.

Okay I'm breaking down. Here's what I'd do:
1. Darnold 2. Minkah (Barkley if he's available)

Being a transplant, I have gotten asked quite a bit about what the Browns are going to do. Surprisingly, people are interested in what is going on with the team.
I really don't know what they're going to do. I don't even know what I want them to do.
I feel like they're going to be pressured to take a QB at 1, even though I don't necessarily think they need to take one with that first pick...
I'm not blown away by any of these QB prospects. I think they all present some really good qualities.
Gun to my head, I think they go with the odds and take Rosen at 1.
At 4, I am hoping Fitzpatrick is still there. I think he's going to be a great pro. Makes too much sense. The position is worthy of a high pick, he comes from a university that is cranking out great NFL talent, and we could use another guy in the secondary.
I love Barkley, and think he's going to be great, but at 4, I think that is tough to ask when we have so many other holes. Crowell is probably not coming back, so you could justify the need, but I think we could probably find someone later on that could be paired with DJ.
I hope we don't trade back. I understand it's a possibility, and if Darnold or Rosen is still sitting there at 4, you could net back some picks, but you are guaranteed 2 blue-chippers if you stay put and pick the players that you have on your board.
Rosen at 1, Fitzpatrick at 4. OL with a round 2 or 3 pick, RB somewhere in there. They kinda have carte blanche if they walk away with a QB and a playmaking CB with 2 of the first 4 picks in the draft.

I am worried that more and more of the "experts" don't view Rosen as the #1 pick.
They are football guys, they can't all be stupid, can they?

Since when was he a football expert? He had Kizer ranked first at this time last year.
You guys do realize that these guys want clicks and they change their mocks a ridiculous number of times, right?

Whatever man....we can debate who is a expert and who isn't all day long.
If you are the expert, cool. Gald to consider you a friend. If these other guys know nothing, good to know. Glad to know Mike is just looking for clicks and doesn't know anything about the game. He did only play in the NFL a few years and the CFL a year, maybe two.
No doubt he was a scrub. What would he know about anything? Anybody can make a NFL roster for a few years.

I never said I was an expert. Take a hike. I'm tired of talking to you and your constant spins.

Someone said, either last year or the year before, that these talking head types do want to be right in their evaluations, but they also want eyeballs on their sites ..... so being somewhat controversial can give them what they (and the website they work for) want most. Page views.

LOl....I take a 6 mile hike almost every morning. I will tomorrow.
I never said you were a expert. I was just saying we could debate who was a expert.
I said some were listing others above Rosen. You asked me which experts.
I told you a recent opinion of Mayock, and you got mad at me and told me to take a hike.
Mayock may not be a expert. If not, who is?
You are my friend. I am not trying to punk you or anything like that. You asked a question and I answered. You may dislike my answer....I respect that.
I do value your opinion, even if we disagree.

They are football guys, they can't all be stupid, can they? It’s almost a crapshoot. There are so many factors that come into play that what you actually see on tape with these college QB’s is only one of many important items in really evaluating them.

I take a 6 mile hike almost every morning. I will tomorrow.Golfing I presume....btw fit bit would tell me that I walked around 4.5 miles as I had a cart with me...of course a lot of that was me walking around looking for my ball...lol
Back on subject. Its funny as posters we usually will side with the Mocks or hate the Mocks if they agree with our Opinion and hopes. Also the reports of these experts get quoted only when it helps ones own opinion.
These guys as mentioned change their mocks 4-10 times prior to the draft. This way post draft they can say...see I said this or that.
What does happen is that as we close into the draft a lot of the top 15 slotted prospects are put in a very calculated order not from the so called "EXPERT" opinion but on searching what some sources from GMs around the league on what is laying out in the top picks.
come draft day when I copy my list and its ranked 1-300+ and follow the draft the top 15 are usually very accurate. Near the end of the first round it starts to jump all over the place. Especially the Patrtiots seem to go off the slotted position as they target an individual and go for it. Often OL.
Anyways. Don't fret if you have a favorite cause these guys are not certain and will name probably all 4 of the top QB picks some time or another as our pick.
The only analyst "EXPERT" that counts is Dorsey. All we know is he is doing his due diligence in investigating and evaluating these QBs to make the right choice.
I'm going gung ho on whomever Dorsey ends up taking even though I got my personal favorites in who I wish on the team. Just remember the odds we take the guy We as fans like are maybe 25-50% so don't get too fanatical about the guy you like and I"m directing this Peen to all posters not you directly.
Defense wins championships. Watson play your butt off! Go Browns! CHRIST HAS RISEN! GM Strong! & Stay safe everyone!

I would take Barclay at #1 and Fitzpatrick at #4. We already have a big strong armed QB who has a years experience plus is younger than the QBs in the draft. I would sign either Cousins or trade for Smith. I am curious to see what Haley thinks he can do with Kiser. I would like to see the Browns use thier draft picks on playmakers. That is what I would do but we will probably draft a QB at #1. If we do I would go with Darnold. You are correct sir

Well it is a fact that he had Kizer rated the #1 QB in last years draft at this time. So there's that. lol
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

I’m pretty sure Mayock does only one mock like the day before the draft, as he has said that he doesn’t like doing them. Just getting the facts out there. As for being an expert, is anyone really? His rankings change as he gets closer to the draft. Not saying the guy is never wrong but from what Ive watched he seems to do a better job then most do. Way better then Kiper or Mcshay. Imo.

I can't recall if I posted in this thread or not, but Barkley at 1, Fitzpatrick at 4. If you don't land Cousins, then Barkley will certainly help out whoever takes snaps this season. If they do take Barkley, I would love to see a lot of two-back sets with him and Duke. But, that's another topic for another time.

These guys might as well throw darts at a board this time of year on these mocks. Positional Rankings are much more useful this time of year. Personally, I wouldn't even attempt a Mock Draft until 2 full weeks of FA are in the books. Changes EVERYTHING. It's part of the reason you see so much movement in these Mocks. Wanna blow up a Mock? Have Indy announce Luck requires yet another Season Ending Shoulder surgery. Lol.
