I don't think I agree with that. Yes, historically he with have an R by his name, and yes, what he achieves/doesn't achieve will define his legacy. But historically he has been a D and that won't ever change either. Anyone that approaches history pragmatically will know there's more to the story than a simple "R".

I don't know why, with these allegations (I suppose we ought to wait and see if they're actually true or not....) but, assuming they are true, I don't know why Melania hasn't filed for divorce yet.

Let's face it, there was most definitely a pre-nup involved. So, staying married to a cheater isn't a money maker for her. If she files, she'll get what the pre nup allowed.

Melania is very much UNLIKE Hillary in that sense. Hillary "stood by her man" for 1 reason: She had political and financial aspirations of her own, and Bill helped her.

I don't see Melania with any political aspirations. AT ALL.

If there was any, ANY impropriety in Trump's "love life", it would have come out during the presidential campaign when a 1,000 investigative reporters were working 60 hours a week looking for anything to discredit Trump.

These investigative reporters were extremely motivated to find something. They would have become rich and famous.

And Trump's reply would have probably been, "Yeah, so?" This is what the press has had trouble with. Trump comes out and says what he wants, and doesn't apologize when they throw a tantrum. I guess you could call it a tantrump.

You really need to follow his tweets to figure out who's throwing the tantrums. Everyone who stands up to him he labels with a name that sounds like something from a grade school playground. lmao

And you should watch the news to see the consensus push to somehow impeach Trump. Any day now, they might actually, possibly, could, maybe, one day, some time soon, have a rumor that will come to nothing like all the rest.

You do realize that "evangelicals" isn't an insult to evangelicals, right? You do realize that it has a fairly undefined meaning but generally just means "Bible believing Christian", right? You do realize that a lot of minorities (blacks and latinos) proudly consider themselves evangelicals, right? You do realize that the first notable person to claim to be an evangelical in politics was democrat Jimmy Carter, right?

So I understand that when you use the term, you are co-opting the term the way the media has and referring to rather radical, far right, republican, Christians.. just know that's not what the word really means to most people within the faith.... if you called me an evangelical, I'd know what you meant, but I wouldn't consider the term itself an insult... and I don't really have any evangelical beliefs that I think need "flipped"...

Now Clem, all men and women deserve the right to choose their faith and follow their religious beliefs no matter how silly you or I might find them to be. It's only when they try to impose their religion on others that they cross the uncrossable line.

Yes, I realize Evangelicals isn't an insult, but a term to describe a demographic. That's why I used the term Evangelicals instead of something insulting like "White Jesus Believers" or "Science Deniers" because, I am not insulting Evangelicals nor do I want to. If you thought the tone to be hateful, it was only directed at CNN and MSNBC, not Evangelicals. A few weeks ago I literally talked about real life is a virtual simulation, I have no rights to laugh at anyone else's thoughts on life.

I think the term is more used to describe the right wing of Christianity because it's been so politicized and non-right wing Christians might self-identify as a "person of faith" or "openevangelical". No one has a richer political history than a Church, after all. As you said, Jimmy Carter identified himself as an Evangelical. That would be unheard of in today's modern political world.

As far as the "flip Evangelicals" comment is concerned, I'm saying that CNN won't flip Evangelicals off from Trump, because having a bad representative is better than having no representative. If DJT's actions won't defend the Evangelical lifestyle, his words certainly do. So getting them to switch from someone who appears to listen to someone who dislikes them, isn't going to happen. So the media should stop focusing on the Don's personal life so much.
