Former @NFL and @UGAFootball wide receiver @IronMassaquoi made his career catching a ball. Last April, his left hand was amputated. This is the first time he's told his story: https://www.theplayerstribune.com/mohamed-massaquoi-nfl/
At DT, context and meaning are a scarecrow kicking at moving goalposts.

Heavy is right. Seems to have the right attitude, and that prosthetic hand is awesome.

I wanted to make a joke about Massaquoi not having hands, but I'm glad I watched the video first. Man, what a heavy story. Crazy how your life and (as he put it) who you are can just be turned upside-down in a moment... and by something so innocent.
Kudos to him on sharing his story. I know it's not raw footage or anything like that (very well-processed), but he seems like a really thoughtful, intelligent, sensitive individual. It's so easy to forget that these guys are humans, have their issues, and have these "normal" sides to them when we only see them competing out there on the field.

I am proud of the kid having his head on straight, and taking this in stride. When tough times hit us it reveals our true selves. Mohammad was a good kid when he played for the Browns, and he didn't change over the years. He has become a good man who his parents, family, and friends should all be proud of.

Man, that really sucks. I am glad that he seems to have his head on straight. It never ceases to amaze me how resilient a human being can be. Life can change in a heartbeat, in so many ways, yet many people manage to change with those changes, and to even make positive changes as a result. On a side note, is it just me, or did that hand remind me of a Terminator hand?

It's about time you gave yourself just a bit of credit buddy. With all you have been through, you have managed to keep your good attitude, your faith, and your love for others. *Giving you a standing ovation*

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

On the contrary.
Not a sad story in my opinion. (Hundreds of people in the U.S. get seriously injured or killed every day)
But an incredible will to live life to the fullest. To make the most out of today and tomorrow. (yesterday is gone)
Very inspirational.
Thanks for posting and good going Mohamed Massaquoi.

I never wish to see anyone have to face such trials and tribulations. But each of us deal with such things in our own way. It's wonderful to see how this young man has dealt with his situation. He could have used this as an excuse to feel sorry for himself and back away from his responsibilities and society as a whole. Instead he used it as an inspiration.
In the end he took a tragedy and made the most of it. It's a wonderful story.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Mo has always had his head on str8. I've talked to him several times and he's always seemed mature beyond his age.
Add this to another reason why I've always avoided ATV's. I had a coworker die from an ATV accident, as it flipped over and landed on him. Ever since then, I made a personal commitment to avoid at all cost.

I applaud his grace in the face of such a life altering event. Something like this would be the end of most men.
