I think those are great measures to help make schools safer.

And I CERTAINLY agree with armed guards doing the job of carrying weapons over teachers doing so.

But then he also wants to raise the age from 18 to 21 for people buying long guns.

Yeah it only took a dozen or so kids to die in his public schools while Scott and all the other deplorable politicians stood around picking their noses, and scratching their butts for years.

Funny how things change when the [censored] gets real in your own backyard.

I see no issue with moving the purchase age from 18 to 21. I think it needs to be put in place to cover all semi-automatic weapons. I do believe someone should be able to purchase a single shot or bolt-action rifle to hunt with at an earlier age.

Of course I think they should raise the voting age to 21 too, matching this type of gun ownership and drinking.

I'd say I would have to disagree with raising the voting age for one big reason. If you are old enough to join the military and be sent into war, I think you should have a say in who is sending you. Otherwise I would agree with you.

Actually making the age limit 21 is a signifigent start...and CUDOS to DICKS for their decision to stop selling the assault weapons altogether. I have always had had a serious problem with them I still do and always will and if they got banned altogether it would be a great day if and when it happens.

OK I won't, if you don't forget this little fact. Trump signed a bill blocking Obama-era background checks on guns for people with mental illnesses. He now has blood on his hands and his only answer is more guns.

They're choosing to join up, not being drafted. It's a job. They wouldn't get to vote on the CEO of any private industry they may join. They are also trained on weapons usage but we would still be curtailing their ability to purchase a weapon until they're 21.

Of course you do. The entire GOP in general should be worried of the multitude of 18 year old's who are right now on our battlefields in our public schools. I'm betting they'll be heard loud and clear come November.

Trump doesn't care about protecting the kids... if he did he wouldn't have signed a measure on February 28, 2017, nixing a regulation aimed at keeping guns out of the hands of some severely mentally ill people. The blood bath continues. It's only a matter of who, when, and where?

That libel is stupid. The man has kids of his own and no parent goes around not caring about the safety of kids. I don't agree with this decision but it was not made by him because he didn't care about kids. I myself am strongly supportive of mental health checkups for ALL citizens.
