I will take John Lee Hooker's 'Boogie Chillin' as it's the original riff that was later sped up for 'Spirit' and then ZZ's 'La Grange'. Plus, JLH is THE MAN!
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."
The Cult “Fire Woman” absolutely love this song. Everytime it comes on SiriusXM, it’s a race between me and my daughter (12yo) to change the station to it.
We always have the satelite radio on 37, or Octane. We both love the hard rock. We are going to see Five Finger Death Punch in Lexington, KY May 8th. We don’t even mind the 3 hour drive.
“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”
" I've been around for you Been up and down for you But I just can't get any relief
I've swallowed my pride for you I've lived and lied for you But you still make me feel like a thief
you got me stealing your love away Cause you never give it Peeling the years away And we can't relive it ( Oh I make you laugh And you make me cry )
I believe it's time for me to Fly
You said we'd work it out You said that you had no doubt That deep down we were really in love Oh but I'm tired of holding on To a feeling I know is gone I do believe that I've had enough
I've had enough of the Falseness of a worn-out relation Enough of the jealousy And the intoleration ( Oh I make you laugh And you make me Cry I believe it's time for me to Fly)
Time for me to Fly Oh I've got to set myself free (Time for me to Fly) And that's just how it's got to be
I know it hurts to say goodbye But it's time for me to Fly.
Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. Comes into us at midnight very clean. It's perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands. It hopes we've learned something from yesterday. -John Wayne

PJ’s Alive is good but I’ll take Garden and Oceans over it all day.
That's one thing about songs. Songs can touch a person and have a more relative meaning to some than others.
Absolutely. I didn’t mean to put down your choice of song. My bad if it came off that way. That entire Ten album is a masterpiece in my mind. I just got ‘Alived’ and Jeremy’d’ out during the albums hey day. I also just happened to like Garden the best on the album anyway. It never got radio play. Truth be told I never cared much for their subsequent albums. A song here and there but none of those albums impacted me in any meaningful way. I owned VS, but didn’t even purchase Vitology. Some thought they were better than Ten. Meh. To each their own.

Actually I didn't take it in a negative way and my meaning was that I can understand why you would like other songs by Pearl Jam more than that one. It's all good.
Actually when those songs came out were the last years I was actually out singing in a band. We covered both Alive and Round Here. So they do have a special sentimental meaning to me. Another one I liked performing was Stone Temple Pilot's Interstate Love Song.
I guess it's more about fond memories than actual musical composition. lmao
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.
There's always been 2 instruments(guitar or piano) I've wanted to play and play well. But after prob the best set of spoons(below) I've ever heard......just gotta put the spoons to the forefront of my "bucket list".

Dang. No spit? For real? You were a front man in a band?
Learned something new tonight. This is most excellent.

Yes Clem for a very long time. I was in my first band at the age of 15. Sang in district and state solo competition from the time I was a freshman in high school. Here's actually the first song I sang as a solo in my freshman year in high school. The arrangement was a bit different but it's the same song.
From that point I sang in bands until my mid 40's. At that point it just got to be too much playing the clubs Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights and working 40-55 hours a week. The last band I was in was probably my favorite one. We did a lot of blues and blues rock mixed with some old classic Blues like Freddie King's Tore Down with our own flare added to it.
The name of the band was Jack Schidt. Our bumper stickers said "I Know Jack Schidt".

I love everything about this song (and the band). It's cool, it's smooth, it's jazzy, it's moody, it's trippy AND she has a beautiful voice. Some fresh, fantastic and exciting music came out of Britain in the 90s/early 2000's.
What was the name of your other band(s) Pit? might of heard you play.
Probably the most popular band I was in was called "The Lost Highway Band". We played some fairly large sized clubs around the Dayton area. Mid 90's when you could do some new country mixed in with some classic rock. It certainly wasn't my favorite genre of music to perform but it paid more than any other band I was in.

Wow. Digging this band a lot, glad you posted. Love it when bands don't fit into a mold. First album is great!

I have two of their albums, 'Simple Things' and 'When It Falls'. Both are superb. I also like the male voice. Glad you are digging it!
