On the topic of TV theme songs, I have The Theme to Hogan’s Heroes on my MP3 player.

I love the rhythmic staccato of military snare drums.

On the topic of video game theme/OST, I can listen to this girl's voice rip it over huge drums and etc all day. It's beautiful.

Another rhythmic drum song on my MP3 player is The Battle of New Orleans.

The #1 song of 1959 on Billboard Hot 100 in an era dominated by Rock 'n Roll.

(Battle of New Orleans is considered country)

The song was ranked #28th best song in the first 50 years of Billboard.

"Yeah, they ran through the briars
And they ran through the brambles
And they ran through the bushes
Where a rabbit couldn't go
They ran so fast
That the hounds couldn't catch 'em
On down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico
(One-two, hup-two-three-four)"

I've got over 500 songs on my MP3 that I hand-picked. I really love every one of them.

Here's another great song I love.

This song is on my Thanksgiving playlist. You may recognize it from the movie Planes, Trains & Automobiles.

One of my all time favorite bands. They're coming to Detroit on March 31st, but I'm leaning toward not going. Glen Tipton revealed he's got Parkinson's disease and won't be touring, and KK Downing left the band a few years ago. I don't think there was a better guitar duo than those two, and it won't be JP without them, IMO. I still may go.

Another St. Patty's Day classic from my 500+ favorite songs that I really love.

This is a bittersweet emotive Irish pub song.

I didn't know that Glenn Tipton had Parkinson's.

If you're not sick of hearing them? I would go.

I'm pretty much burned out listening to all the great rock and metal bands of yesteryear - I've heard it all one too many times. In fact I rarely listen to music anymore. For me? Great rock music died when grunge fizzled out.

Boston is the ultimate St. Patty's Day city.

Here's another one of the 500+ songs on my MP3 player that I really love.

From the city that gave us the Boston Tea Party. (That was a tax rebellion for you non-history majors)

I dig the Eagles. Especially when Walsh brought his dirty growl to the sound. This song is them at their Walshy best.
YouTube has erased the ability listen to studio version so I found a dailymotion link to Those Shoes...

I felt like Joe Walsh "sold-out" when he joined the Eagles.

The James Gang had some jamming songs. Including this one from the 500+ songs I really love.

Ok....I liked the Four Seasons.

Not classic rockers, but those "Jersey Boys" had a ton of hits.

I liked this one as well

Hahaha...I was up at 5am when I read that and I could have sworn over my coffee I read "All Right Now" (Free). Thus my long winded reply about the best Free albums (and which Rocket disregarded). My bad. Maybe I just HOPED to read "All Right Now"?

I have no response to Lionel Richie's "All Night Long". I'll leave it with you, Rocket. Totally not my cup of tea.

I am a big fan of movie soundtracks.

Like all of them.

Anything Hans Zimmer or James Horner.

It's great background music for when I'm working.

Of Course!

But don’t forget the greatest Irish commercial and ditty of all time:

“Are ye hot? Are ye muggy? Switch to Irish Spring.”

“But I like it too!” (thanks lady, but you must have missed a spot)

"Don't forget to enter the Irish Springs Scratch and Sniff Sweepstakes."

I think I'll pass on that one.

This song because Base Riff.

And this guy, who covers it, I would totally have my way with him if I saw him play this. Despite his monkey faces. That's so hot.

Where do I meet men who can play this song?

At the risk of being ridiculed by the musical elitists on this site, I am still going to have to say that I absolutely love this song. If it don't make your head start boppin' and your feet a stompin'........well, maybe it's you who doesn't get it. LOL

So it's Easter week.

One of the top 10 albums of my life:

I'm not particularly religious, just great songs from Andrew Lloyd Webber & Tim Rice.

Although I've seen the musical probably ~ 4-5 times in my life.

That was like religious.

It's the last week of Jesus' life. Actually last 4 days of his life - he was killed on "Good Friday".
