I take our choice at QB at #1 overall, then see if I can get either Denver or the Jets to bits at a trade for #4 overall.Maybe I also talk to Buffalo, just to see if I can get an absolutely idiotic trade from them, starting with both #1s this year, next year's #1, and maybe a 2nd or 3rd as well. If they bite, great. If not, then we don't have to trade down.

I would take Barkley at #1 and do the same thing.. I look at Taylor the same way I looked at Cousins. A good QB that we can build around. Plus he's younger than Cousins...

I would entertain offers as well, that's what smart teams do...And like you said if nothing is worth while or exceeding trade value...We have the default plan of picking best player...I cant wait to see what we can do!

Why is it puzzling. Saquan plus any of those QBs is a much better team than the team that only gets one of those QBs. To me none of the QBs is so dominant over the others that they are worth losing Saquan. You mean, the choice of the QBs, plus one of Barkley, Chubb, or Fitzpatrick. Don't act like we don't have the four pick for goodness sake. Chubb and Fitz both look like very good prospects. I just can't believe folks are even discussing this. We have an opportunity to choose whichever QB we want, and at four we'll get a very good player (or possibly a king's ransom in a trade down). Instead, folks want a RB and the leftovers at QB. Ridiculous.............. This is the draft to do it. Identify your QB, whichever you like the most, pick that one. If you haven't made a decision which you like most, keep working till you make that decision And which QB is it that you think is the best QB of this draft and how is he so much better than the next 3 guys? There isn't one and you know it. The front office knows it too. It doesn't really matter which QB we take at #4 because he will be a good one no matter which one we take. The number one way to improve our team is to have an offense that scores points. Saquan is going to score points. Chubbs and Fitz are not or at least very unlikely to. The two draft picks that will dramatically improve how much we score are Saquan at #1 and Whatever QB we take at #4 or trade up to 2 or 3. That is a complete offense with a good passing game and a fantastic running game.

If they draft any QB other than Rosen at #1 instead of Saquan then it will probably be the straw that breaks my back as a fan because I have seen enough horrible drafts to last a lifetime already. Honest question. Are you sure you're not Jaded in this Barkley at 1 opinion because you have a Woody for Rudolph? And you know for a fact that Rudolph isn't sniffing the Top 4. Think about that. Seriously. That's not an honest question its an insulting one and it shows you don't really read my posts. I have said many times now that I don't really care which QB we end up with out of Rosen, Darnold, Mason, or Mayfield. ANY of these 4 are more than able to become franchise QBs. I think Rosen is the best QB in this draft but I think Mason is the perfect QB for our system. Saquan is the best player available in this draft. Bar none and it's not even close. You don't pass on that kind of talent to get some tiny improvement at QB. It would be different if there was only 1 good QB in this draft or at least one that was head and heels above everyone else but there isn't. There are anywhere from 4 to 7 QBs in this draft that could turn out to be franchise level QBs. I have stated which 4 I like the best many, many times now. I am not going to cry if we don't get Mason or Rosen, so long as, 1 of those QBs are there for us to draft at #4. So no I am not jaded at all and I am not biased either. I have made very careful evaluations of 6 of the QB I think are interesting and shared my opinions based on those evals. It's my opinion that there is no way an intelligent person passes on a unique talent like Saquan just to pick which QB out of the list I made first. The HBs later in the draft just can't hold a candle to Saquan. It's not worth losing that special of a talent.

I feel the same YTown, no need to get wrapped up in the RB thingy. Pretend for a moment you have only one 1st round pick, who do you take? The #2 1st rounder is a bonus setting up future drafts (fingers crossed). With the changes we are about to make its critical given we do have a second 1st that we leverage that pick so we can make moves now and in the future as well. Its a given that will need to adjust the roster next year too. The moment we take SB we are locked at #4 and that is a poor strategy for many reasons. mainly the one I just laid out. It's not kicking the can either its good sense IMO.

Your welcome to your opinion mate but I disagree. Saquan won't be there at #4 because the giants will nab him at #2. We don't need to worry about future drafts because this is the one we can have a full blown offense for the next decade with a monster running game and a good passing game.

As are you I am just kicking it, believe me I think if the Browns play this right they can have their cake and eat it too. It's not about the RB in my world, I see a RB as a complimentary player who's production is tied to the O line he plays behind and the QB who's throwing the ball. But sense we are kicking it anyway if someone make's a move up in the draft who is that going to be? and who is it they will target? I would be beyond shocked if the Giants pass up on QB, Eli is about played out and 2 picks in the draft are rare, the wild card is Indy in my view, and the likely landing spot for SB IMO. But there is a but to all of that however Indy is a long long way from being even a solid team even with a healthy AL. So I see them trading out with a QB needy team as will the Giants if they don't take the pick themselves (QB). As I said earlier the moment you take SB you are exposing yourself and settling and the one spot you cannot settle is at QB, however you can settle at RB so this truly is simple. IMO

The way this draft thing works boys n girls. This is one of the strongest QB draft classes for sometime. We will assess who is the best AND DRAFT THEM OVERALL #1.
Now if these guys are incompetant and cant figure it out they draft Barkley #1 n leave it to pot luck at QB...REALLY? I think not, these guy are excellent evaluators.
I hope Barkley will be there at #4. But what if he is not? We will get a stud D player n a very deep draft class at RB to take later on. That is how the draft will work out cause these guys are pros.

jmho I've been stewing about this one... but I do think that it is possible with the trade of Tyrod that we could very well look deeper in the draft for QB. I truly hope you are right... but if Dorsey doesn't like Darnold, or Rosen, or Mayfield, or Allen, but really likes White or Lauletta... then yes, I can see us NOT taking a QB at 1. I am still not so sure that we'll take Barkley in this scenario... One thing though, we now have stability at QB. There are teams drafting around us who do not. Do we trade out of 1 to one of those teams for future picks and go after White or Lauletta in the second round (or trade up in the first)? It all depends on who Dorsey likes the most.

Trade up to #22 in the 1st as it has been so good to us in the past. Quinn, Weeden, Manziel - woohoo.

We have one year on Tyrod's contract. I see it as the exact opposite. We will be drafting our QB next year. Theoretically, if our QB doesn't look ready to roll by the end of the season, we could franchise Tyrod. Otherwise, we just let him go, and we'd probably get a decent compensation pick Signing a FA QB to a multi-year contract would make me think we might take an alternate route. But with 1 year to go on Taylor's contract, until he signs a big extension, I just don't see us not drafting a QB at 1 or at the least 4

Taylor is a mediocre QB at best, and you do NOT kick the can for the likes of Taylor, really? Wow I am all for kicking it but in the end this front office holds the keys to the future of this football team they will bring in the BEST QB prospect from this class because thats what they get the big bucks for, and you won't get big bucks for long if you kick the can on a QB because you have the likes of Taylor on your roster. SMHM

SMHM Apparently you didn't read what I wrote. No one is "kicking the can" on Tyrod. He does, however, afford you the chance to grab your QB later if you feel White or Lauletta could be your guy. I understand people don't like Tyrod, but he just upgraded the position ten fold. We are still going to draft a QB, it's just a matter of where and how long said quarterback is ready to play.

Before This discussion can hold water free agency must past.
Where Cousins goes and who gets him impacts this.
What happens with the Vikings quarterbacks and where they end up?
The Giants have a decision to make on Eli and they will get offers.
So Barkley and where be may be is way open.
In addition I don't believe with all the expertise we have in evaluators that they will view 1 to 4 quarterback prospects equally.
Let's revisit this in a week.

SB at #1 is just a no brainer for me. Here's why:
Franchise QB - We've taken first rounders before that haven't worked out. A LOT OF OUR FIRST ROUNDERS DON'T PAN OUT.
I have the QBs ranked like this: Mayfield, Darnold, Allen, Rosen, Rudolph, Jackson, White.
I think any of the first 4 are potential Franchise guys but none are a lock. I think the last three have promise and could be very good to Franchise QBs but are more of a reach.
I strongly think Mayfield and Darnold are different QBs but BOTH will become Franchise QBs.
We have picks 1 and 4. If we take SB at one because he IS the best player in this draft and he will be gone by pick 4 if we don't. Then the next two picks would have to be Mayfield and Darnold for us to not get a Franchise QB "Prospect" of our choice. I personally don't think that happens as Mayfield is not that high on most boards. But if they were gone we still have Allen and Rosen sitting there at #4.
Since we brought in Taylor, I'm almost of the mindset to try and land two of the three BPAs in Barkley, Fitzpatrick, and Chubbs with the 1 and 4 picks, then move up to take our QB or target Rudolph in the second round.
But passing up Mayfield, Darnold, Allen, or Rosen does not make sense at 4. Barkley will be gone at 4 so he must be the #1 if we want him.

First I am very pro Barkley.
The past is history. Each draft is very different.
What mistakes happened in the past should not and will impact the decisions of this draft.
These quarterbacks are all different. They will not viewed as equal.
Right now even a guess at where Barkley will be is not worth the time.
There are a bunch of teams in the QB market. Let's see where Cousins goes and what happens to the Vikings quarterbacks.
The picture could be much clearer.
Lastly never gamble when you can get the quarterback you feel fits the coaching culture of the team.
This is not a case where any of the top four will be fine. You leave yourself way to open for risk.
After getting a quarterback at One. Are options at four will be many and none will be bad.

There is only one Barkley in this draft, maybe this decade. There are 4 or more quality QBs.
