Former Jaguars’ WR Allen Robinson intends to sign with the Chicago Bears barring any last-minute snags when free agency opens Wednesday, source tells ESPN.

I don't think we had any real shot at signing him. I don't really want Sammy Watkins either.

I actually think Paul Richardson might be a good fit for us. I know everyone is talking about Pryor but I think Richardson might have more of an upside.

Watkins is apparently isgning with KC (Per profootballtalk).

I never was interested in Sammy. Health goes a long way for me and he's been pretty sketchy.

Yeah... I heard that only Jets and Vikings made substantial offers to him. Us and some other teams put in an offer and that was that.

At 28 million a year like said above, glad we didn't bite.

Rumor is that he asked for 3 years fully guaranteed. I really hope the Vikes don't do that.

Like I said awhile ago, I'm glad it's another team's problem/ordeal. Three years fully guaranteed is... preposterous to me. I can't get passed Kirk just being a slightly above average QB.

The guys has thrown for 5K yards with average receivers and no team around him. Hes well above average.

Also, you need to realize, that teams have more cap than ever before, so all salaries and G$ will go up.

Out of curiosity and I'm not asking to start an engagement/argument/say someone is right/wrong, more so curiosity at hand - but would you have dropped 28mil a year on the likes of Kirk then?

That's what I was thinking in the shower.

So, I guess it works both ways. Although, if Shaun Coleman can get a bit more consistent and quit it with the penalties, he should be fine

EDIT: Isn't Joe Thomas due a big roster bonus or something on the 15th. Maybe he's waiting to get it and then will announce his official retirement

EDIT EDIT: http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/cleveland-browns/joe-thomas-2348/

March 18th he'll get 3 million dollar roster bonus. I wonder if he's just sticking it out till then
That would be a crap move by Joe, and I would lose respect for him.

I'm pretty sure Joe told Dorsey his decision already. I'm also pretty sure Dorsey said "Ok, I respect that, lets keep it quiet for a few days and let me work on FA.. this will help us for other teams not to know this info.. Do this for me and I'll make sure you get your bonus.

OK, so I think that we will add a RB, OT, WR, and CB.

Maybe Hyde at RB, Johnson, Butler, or Breeland at CB, Pryor at WR, and Solder at T?

I would consider that a successful free agency.

I like Alfred Morris. He'd be a great mix with Duke Johnson, and we can draft a rookie RB too. Morris is 29, hasn't gotten many carries the past two seasons. He's a good addition to the room IMO. Worth much more than Matthew Dayes

Nah...of course it would have been nice but I saw Joe Thomas shift his allegiance to TT the last week or so and when we signed him...all hopes for anyone else was gone. Actually I thought we would have gone for AJ in FA but we didn't wish to wait and take a chance and did the right thing and got TT.

Now I just wish JT to come back...play Solder at RT we got a great interior OL.

And I would like for us to take a shot at a RAW Talent this kid from Western Michigan. Big and Fast and Athletic! good feet...needs to get aggressive. Okorafor??? something like that. He ran a 4.86 at the combine at 320 lbs.

jmho

Pryor should have fired his agent after the horrible advice he was given to take a one-year contract last year.

Disagree...he went from a merry-go-round of bad qbs to a decent/good qb...he had to expect his numbers to get better.

Truth is he isn't that good of a WR.

You're right, he isn't that great of a WR, which is why he should have taken the long-term deal we offered him but balked at. I'll give him credit that I don't think he was 100% but his value plummeted last season.

He'll get a 2-year from someone with some incentives and will make as much or more than he would have under our offer. He'll click again then will bounce and likely struggle. He's still a monster big dude with decent hands but can't run a good route and when his head is in the game, he's a good 2nd or 3rd option in a solid team's progressions.

Don't forget that he may have gone against his agent's advice in the first place...we don't know that. And I don't think he's going to listen to anyone because he's very confident in himself.

And there are a lot of people who said Sashi screwed up the Pryor deal. He tried to keep Pryor... can you imagine the outcry now if Pryor had actually signed? And sucked. The talks would be about how dumb we were for signing him to such an expensive deal...

amazing how the narrative can change like that to fit someone's agenda.

Do you actually read your own posts and then talk about other posters having an agenda? lmao

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Actually, I don't consider you one with an agenda, although your posts are arduous at times. I think you like to play devil's advocate, but sometimes hang onto those beliefs too long... I like many of your posts, but some are just wrong.

If we are keeping Corey Coleman, then signing Terrelle Pryor doesn't make much sense. As it stands now we have two guys who are going to want the ball a lot in Josh Gordon and Jarvis Landry and two guys who have great potential (Corey Coleman and David Njoku). Any wide receiver we sign will be a fifth option at best.

See, I disagree. You might as well look at Gordon and Coleman as half a receiver each. Coleman has probably missed more time than he's played in the NFL. And Gordon has definitely missed more time than he's played.

I've, and I'd assume, you've, learned that depending on Josh Gordon is just a way to be let down.

Let's not forget our history. Get Terrelle Pryor. Think of Josh Gordon as the number 4 receiver. If he's here, wonderful. If he's not, don't end up with a WR crew like we had last season

AJ McCarron must be hoping for Buffalo or New York Jets at this point. And he's beginning to see that he'll have a rookie QB looking over his shoulder no matter what.

If I was him, I'd expect to be a FA soon enough again

So if we are keeping track of new QB scenery...

Redskins - Alex Smith
Browns - Tyrod Taylor
Vikings - Kirk Cousins
Broncos - Case Keenum
Cardinals - Sam Bradford
Bills -
Jets -

What else? Bridgewater in links to Jets I heard... Bills going all out draft?

What about McCarron... poor guy, no one wants him.
Trevor Siemien on the move?

Is this an unprecedented amount of movement?

I've heard Bridgewater and McCown to the Jets as well (local radio).

But McCarron will get picked up somewhere. Maybe Buffalo, but he's not going to be getting the payday that he thinks he was going to

EDIT: But I wouldn't be surprised if McCarron goes to the Jets either. Its gotta be one of the two
