Personally I like Coleman and he really hasn't had a great opportunity to show what he can do, I have heard rumors that he will be the next player traded? What do you think? Should the Browns Keep Coleman or trade him? Do you think a WR core of Gordon, Landry, Coleman, Higgins and a rookie/FA would be good enough?

Just typed this in the JL thread, I'll copy and paste as it sums up my thoughts on Corey:
"Coleman is pretty much not even in my plans for the WR corp. Can't stay healthy, can't catch and can't even practice. Can't even get a 7th round pick for him in a trade I bet either. I say run him hard in camp and don't baby him and the second he has another hamstring issue or some other injury, can him and cut your losses."

If we do trade Coleman I think it will be on draft day or before as part of a package to move up in the draft ...

Depends on if the rumors of the Browns aggressively chasing Allen Robinson are true. If so, I'd expect Coleman to be traded pretty quickly upon his signing.
Gives me some pause, however. Landry, Robinson and Gordon is an incredible group, but I'm not sure there are enough targets to go around to keep all three happy.

I hope we hang onto him. He has a lot of raw talent, just needs to work on some stuff. Two freak hand injuries have robbed him of development time.
I hope we keep him, but I won't shed a tear if he becomes expendable (via FA or draft pick).
There are other WRs that I want to see gone before Coleman.

Doesn't have much value, probably not worth whatever we get back, so we hold.

Agree.....Coleman has barely played in 2 years due to injury so I would doubt that we could get more then a 5th rnd pick for him and while I don't see him as ever being a great WR I think he can be a useful player that is worth more then we can get for him in trade.

Maybe we hold onto him, sign Robinson, and draft a WR in a mid round

So far Coleman gas been hurt and underwhelming when he has played. Across the NFL I'd say his value is very low. Browns fans overvalue their own players. Many of them are only starters because this team lacks depth and the competition for starting jobs is next to nothing at many positions.
I don't believe Coleman would even be considered a starter on most NFL teams.
I don't really care what they do with Coleman. I mean, nothing criminal, but aside from that. lol
Dorsey wants real football players. I'm not sure Coleman fits that description.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Put him on the practice squad and hope some moron FO like the Browns that actually made him a no.1 pick will give us something for him. Gosh dawgs....im just an avid fan not an x coach or anything that qualifies me as an expert how could anyone see a silver lining with the mistake of drafting that bum IMO.

If not then just dump him and make room for someone else, like I said I am not that knowledgeable just an avid fan and if anyone thinks Coleman is any kind of asset for the Browns its their opinion in which I totally disagree.

If Coleman is the weakest link in the WR lineup, I can't really complain. Especially since Josh Gordon's storyline will forever be "here today-potentially gone tomorrow."
I'd keep Coleman for sure.

Time comes when the roster needs trimmed for it's final 53... Coleman may just get cut. It would be of zero shock to me. Higgins, Louis and etc may also get the boot... we don't get any A for effort though by cutting them immediately when we have no one to replace them with.

We have Higgins, Louis, and Coleman on the roster right now (and I think the dude from Seattle as well?).
I just don't see us cutting all 3-4 of those WRs in one offseason. Especially with how cheap they are right now. As you get better talent coming in, the guys that aren't cutting it will drop off the bottom of the roster. Coleman is better than Louis, Higgins and co, so he will probably get demoted, but not outright cut.

I think we will trade him. I think the team thinks he is damaged goods. I would not trade him. He's cheap and he will only be 24 when the season starts (the same age as Calvin Ridley).

Coleman is just another in a long line of failed draft picks by the Browns. It is absolutely amazing how one team could draft so bad.
I just want a winner. We need players who can be part of the solution not part of the problem.

i think we still have Sammie Coates as well. Jeez, I completely forgot about him. My point is that if the FO brings in enough talented WRs to bump Coleman and all the receivers that aren't even as good as him off the roster, then I'm fine cutting him.

They won't cut Coleman. It would actually be more costly against the cap to cut him than to keep him on the roster. Corey Coleman contract

I'd at least give Coleman some time with Haley and a "real" QB and see how he looks. No point selling low. The last image everyone has of him is the 0-16 sealing drop. Post some stories about how great he looks through camp and check his value closer to the season. Can be insurance if Gordon messes up/people end up injured.

I know in a PM I stated Coleman is on thin ice. I think the Dorsey statement about football players. We got a talented WR without good hands. Colemanis an oxymoron WR with suspect hands. Not Colemans fault, just understandable he has to step it up or he is gone.

Not a huge fan of Corey Coleman...But he is a notch or two better than Higgins, and several notches above Louis...I'd cut Louis/Coates before Coleman...I would like to see Coleman with a real QB and against more favorable coverage (being a #3 or #4 WR) Providing he doesnt break his hand...again.
