Do we try for Kyle Fuller? Also, what do you all think will happen with McCarron and Bridgewater? It seems like they are kinda left out in the cold at this point. Who is left to sign either of them? The Giants and the Colts maybe? CLE - Taylor NYJ - McCown DEN - Keenum MIN - Cousins ARI - Bradford NO - Brees

As we've said, we either haven't wanted them or the big name guys have chosen elswehere

Do we try for Kyle Fuller? Kyle Fuller got transition tagged. Any signing of him would be much later down the road because the contract would be complicated. Also, what do you all think will happen with McCarron and Bridgewater? It seems like they are kinda left out in the cold at this point. Who is left to sign either of them? I read that earlier, then read another, after McCown re-signed, that said that Bridgewater was considering the Jets offer, but that McCown was going to start this year.

Nothing to get excited about here....not see how these moves today do anything much for us other than chew up cap.

I was a little Leary of Johnson, didn't he get suspended 8 games last year?

Jets had plenty of cash to throw at Trumaine after Cousins decided to go to Vikes. Had the Jets signed, Cousins, I doubt they would have made a play for Johnson.

One of the reasons our team has been so bad the last two years is because we have relied on so many young players. Today's moves (and last Friday's trades) ensure that we won't have to do that at QB, WR, FS, backup DE, and several positions across the offensive line.

I like Trumaine Johnson and think he is good. There is no way I make him the highest paid corner in the league (which is what he will be with the Jets based on his reported average annual salary).

That deal could easily become a 3 year deal, with little risk.

The GM misheard the owner when he told him to go out and sign the best quarterback on the market, no matter the cost.

When I say "around $30 million" I really mean "more than $30 million". Give him a $20 signing bonus, and guarantee his 1st season at $8 million. ($28 million guaranteed) Pay him $10 million in years 2-5, and give him a $7 million guaranteed roster bonus in year 3. Year 4 rolls around, and it becomes an easy contract to get out of, if necessary.

Only a $20 signing bonus?
I agree with the contract details you rolled out. I just believe that in the end you should be paying a player what you think he is worth, not how much the market dictates. Process over results.

LOL Yeah, $20 million.
The market rules, especially at certain positions. (Cover CB, LT, QB, pass rusher, and recently, OL in general)

Just give me Pryor and I'm happy... It'd definitely be a good step. Pryor and Joe Thomas coming back (or Nat Solder) would make me real happy though. That and a corner.

Disagree...he went from a merry-go-round of bad qbs to a decent/good qb...he had to expect his numbers to get better.
Truth is he isn't that good of a WR. He got hurt in week two and tried to play through it. Of course he did. He didn't have any choice.
