Great post there Vers.

It's quite succinct that so many posters remember where they were when Thomas was drafted. I'm in that group also, but I couldn't tell you where the hell I was when we drafted other folks like Jeff Faine, Winslow, Braylon, Mingo even Mack.

I was travelling on a short break up the west coast of Australia with the now ex wife, headed to Coral Bay to go and swim with the whale sharks. We'd stopped off at the famed Monkey Mia at a campsite and I was keeping track of the draft via a shoddy internet connection. I thought we'd absolutely hit pay dirt in that draft. I can still r member how pumped I was lol couldn't stop smiling after we'd "missed" on Gallery a couple of years earlier! QB of the future to boot.

Thought we were on our way......still waiting.

Anyways, thanks for the memories Joe. He's a Legend already.

When I saw Lebron and Joe hugging, all I could think of, "damn, Joe is a big NFL badass dude and Lebron is still bigger. Crazy!"

Lets see, I said it seems odd they were having a presser, since he had already retired. It turns out it wasn't a presser but a victory lap where he told a few jokes, got a fishing pole and exited the podium. They had to stop him to come back to take a few questions. Seems he agreed answering questions from Mary Kay and Grossi would be more pain than he wanted and he tried to get away before having to.

Now you falsely reached a conclusion I was complaining about Joe and chose to get butt hurt, sounds like a personal problem.

I can appreciate Joe's sense of humor. Let's face it, he saw a lot of nonsense in his time with the Browns. Better to laugh it off than let it get to you..
