Bademosi and Sammie Coates are both Texans now.

Bademosi is the highest paid special teams guy in the league at 2 year 6.25 mil.

None. He is a classless character.

I'm more concerned with his health than his activism. Wouldn't mind him if the medical checks out and the price is right.

Gordon has never been in such a clean frame of mind.
Physically n mentally.

Trusted? Or on thright track of recovery. Did Cris Carter clean up n make it?

I think we can always pick up a WR. Lets face the facts. We will not come close to finding a WR of the quality of Gordon.

It looks like our patience will pay off. Gordon's head might be in the right place finally. Our +

Again my theme is things are finally looking up for the Browns.

Agreed. But is Terrelle Pryor, on another one year prove it deal, really the guy you want as your fourth wide receiver?

Not me.

I may be in the minority, but I am good with the wide receivers we have right now. I would be fine if we didn't invest in the position anymore this off-season.

Did you not like his 1,000 receiving season 2 years ago?

I did like it and was very upset when we did not retain Terrelle Pryor. Like I said I am worried about the dynamics of the team if Pryor is signed.

Wow, just a one year deal?

It sure looks like the FS position has been devalued this year. I wonder why?

You're thinking very positive about this. I like to think I'm being careful. I've fallen for this before. Like two years ago when Gordon actually practiced through pre-season.

We shall see. Addiction is tough. And I just don't have a lot of faith int he guy. Hopefully I'm proven wrong though.

And, finding a WR is easy? Look who we had last year? It was awful.

That's why I'm banging the table for Pryor. We let the guy walk last year, he'd have been the best WR on our team, and this year we're setting ourselves up for the same thing.

Josh Gordon who continues to screw up, Corey Coleman always hurt and not productive when he's healthy as ourother options to Jarvis Landry.

I don't feel good about that. And I think that it would be foolish to feel okay about that. We need another NFL experienced WR. One who's had some success

Rumor has it Pryor is in town today for a physical, so I hope this holds true.

I think mainly because every year FAs get bigger contracts yearly, as the market changes...at least that's the only thing I could think of lol

Yeah, but WRs have received some ridiculous contracts this year .... along with contracts for QBs, like Bradford.

Things have changed. Bradford was the last of the big rookie contracts.

The money is now spent on guys hitting their 2nd contract.

The teams have to spend X amount of cap money over a 3-4 year average. They aren't spending it on rookie contracts anymore, so they have to spend it elsewhere.

Where do you think they are going to have to spend it?

On free agent players or players on the team they want to extend.

I was talking about $20 for Bradford. Just crazy money for a guy not likely to finish the season.

Colts surprisingly cut Johnathan Hankins one year after giving him $27 million deal - CBSSports.com
https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/colts...7-million-deal/

The Colts are apparently stealing Bill Belichick's "no days off" mantra. On Saturday, after already agreeing to a massive trade of draft picks with the Jets, the Colts went ahead and made a surprising personnel move that serves as yet another reminder that the huge contracts players get in free agency aren't always what they appear to be.

One year after signing defensive lineman Johnathan Hankins to a three-year, $27 million contract, the Colts cut him.

The timing of the cut isn't surprising. If the Colts were going to cut him, Saturday was going to be the day. According to Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio, $4.5 million of his $8 million salary would've been fully guaranteed on Sunday.

But it's still surprising -- not just because the Colts signed him to a big contract a year ago, but because he's a good young player and the Colts need good young players. In 2017, Hankins graded out as Pro Football Focus' 20th-best interior defender, one spot ahead of Leonard Williams and two spots behind Stephon Tuitt. He's not much of a pass-rusher, but he's solid against the run, posting the 14th-best run-stop percentage at his position group, according to Pro Football Focus. Guess who finished in 15th: Aaron Donald.

Obviously, Hankins isn't the same caliber of player as Donald, but he's a solid defensive lineman who will be 26 when next season begins. Teams looking to bolster their defensive lines should be eager to compete for his services.

For the Colts, the move likely comes down to their coaching change, which has them switching defensive schemes. Citing a league source, Stephen Holder of the The Indianapolis Star reported that the scheme change "was the driving force behind the decision to part with Hankins." Holder also reported that the move saves the Colts roughly $8.5 million against the cap after they paid him $10.5 million for his services in 2017.

While the Colts made a huge move to trade out of the No. 3 pick on Saturday, they haven't been all too active this offseason after hiring Frank Reich as their new coach in the aftermath of the Josh McDaniels fiasco. The release of Hankins turns defensive tackle into an area of need, which could be the position they target with the sixth-overall pick in the draft or any other of the draft picks they collected on Saturday. In addition to the Jets' first-round pick, the Colts also received the 37th-overall pick, the 49th-overall pick, and a 2019 second-round pick.

Two teams, per source, to watch in pursuit of Morgan Burnett: Chicago Bears and Cleveland Browns. Could be more. #Packers free-agent safety is going to have a market.

Burnett's a little old and injury prone as of late for my taste

He just turned 29 in Jan. That would take him to 32 on a 4 year deal. Not all that old for a safety. Losing a little speed at his position isn't as critical as is with a corner.

If the price is right, it's worth a shot. I read where he was asking the Pack for 8.5 a year. I hope we don't do that.

He's been a huge disappointment and I think his future w/the team is in jeopardy if he doesn't get his crap together.

Pryor was a far superior receiver to Coleman when both were on the team together. Sashi is gone. We have legit guys in the FO now. I think we bring him back.

It's kinda funny... those same negative qualities you use to describe Coleman can also be used on Pryor.

I would love Pryor to be signed here. I think his attitude (and by extension, Coleman's) is exactly the attitude we need. I'm sick of our guys rolling over out there. We need guys that get angry. Penalties suck, but rebuilding culture is more important, imo. Pryor won't push Coleman off the roster, but he will replace Higgins or Louis (yes please).

There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

If this is true. I must whole heartedly disagree. I don't even want Higgins on the team next year. The experiment with Higgins, Peyton, and Louis should be over. Done with. I'd imagine we're the only team in the NFL that would keep those guys around this long already.

Give me Kasen Williams with a full training camp over Higgins. Give me Terrelle Pryor (who's actually produced) over both of them though.
