If this is true. I must whole heartedly disagree. I don't even want Higgins on the team next year. The experiment with Higgins, Peyton, and Louis should be over. Done with. I'd imagine we're the only team in the NFL that would keep those guys around this long already.

Give me Kasen Williams with a full training camp over Higgins. Give me Terrelle Pryor (who's actually produced) over both of them though.

Of the guys you mentioned, the only one who I think has even a chance of being good is Higgins. He basically walked in off the street last year and had seven catches for 95 yards. He then disappeared.

He's only played for Tampa Bay, New England, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, and, now, Detroit.

So, to answer your question, nearly all of them.

Twitter reports Pryor left Seattle without a deal... He's going to visit the Jets next.

I wouldn't offer Pryor anything more than what we have .. let him price himself out of the market (it appears there isn't much of one)

I think we will offer him much less than what we did in 2017. He was stupid for not signing our top offer.

He will not get 6 mil for anyone now let alone long term.
He signed a show me one year contract last year. How did that turn out and why didn't the Redskins sign him this year!

Good luck Pryor. A one year show me contract here is what I hope we offer and if he takes it so be it.

But that WR room is going to be crowded with talent especially if we go Barkley...that is going to move Duke to the WR room more often than not! Gordon, Landry, Duke, Njoku (TE but WR really) how many times will we go with 5 WRs???

jmho

It would be odd if McCown, Pryor and Crowell all end up on the field for the Jets.

Add Xavier Cooper. They re-signed him.
Started the year with the niners, picked up by NY when released.

I didn't even know he'd left.

Young legs, I'd say yes. Matt Forte is on the roster though.

I know they all were on the field for us in our 1-15 season. Jets have a lot to look forward to.

Allen Hurns - WR - Free Agent

Jaguars released Allen Hurns.

The move saves $7 million against the cap. The writing was on the wall for Hurns after the Jaguars gave Donte Moncrief a one-year, $9.6 million contract. Hurns was probably overpaid in Jacksonville, but he is a solid receiver who should have no trouble finding a new home. The Jaguars will move forward with Marqise Lee, Moncrief, Dede Westbrook, and Keelan Cole atop the depth chart

Hurns was injured IIRC, but maybe worth a look

I wouldn't mind an Allen Hurns. I'm not really sure how/if he'd fit in our WR corps. I'm thinking he'd be our best/only insurance against a Gordon relapse?

I am not going to entice Pryor after abandoning ship. I would like to see how the new OC might use him with a viable NFL QB for a change. Buyer's market on Pryor. Lowered his own bar IMO.

I said before and I'll say again, I don't hold it against Pryor for him jumping ship that offseason. He bet on himself, and without the benefit of hindsight, I can see why he did. He had a big year, with only bigger things on the horizon, and he was going to a team that should've made it possible for him to put up gaudy numbers.

Also, he didn't do anything shady, IIRC. "Just business" was my takeaway. The reports that trickled out after definitely made it seem like he wanted to be here, but made a business decision instead.

People who take such moves personally have issues. They believe this is a sport and somehow players owe fans some sense of loyalty. Yet the owners who they work for don't even have to honor players contracts. They're only on the hook for the guaranteed portion and the rest is just meaningless drivel.

These players put what they feel is in the best interest of themselves and their families first. It's their profession just like everyone else has a profession.

Pryor gambled on himself. An injury derailed that. He made the wrong choice. But butt hurt fans crack me up! These players don't owe you JACK! They have a short window in their life with which to play football. They're not doing it for you. They're doing it for themselves and their family.

A team decides whether a player can help their team and what he's worth to their team. That make offers accordingly. I sure hope our team doesn't act like some of our fans and take a business move personally and let emotions get in the way of sound business practices.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Wow they kind of stuck it to Lewis there with a pretty late ax. Jz... the man was there like, 11-12 seasons. His health a concern, youth movement or something? Didn't they pick up his option?

Not sure which of his traits run faster... his legs and feet, or that mouth of his. I literally told myself when there was a brief thought of him coming here that I could tolerate him being here if I never listened to him talk, only watched him play lol.

Didn't say I liked him, in fact can't stand listening to him, most of the time, but he is right about these agents, they do more harm to the NFL than good ... JMHO

I would not mind Allen Hurns one bit...He is still young and big (26 years old and 6'3 208) Been banged up after signing that massive deal, but what great insurance he would be for if Gordon gets banned and when Corey Coleman gets injured...I would love the signing, and like Dorsey says he wants to breed competition.

I forgot about your second point.

Signing Pryor may light a fire under Coleman's butt... but signing Hurns definitely would.

If Coleman, selected 15th overall, first WR off the board and etc, failure thus far in the NFL, fragile as can be - hasn't got a fire lit under his butt already... then nothing probably will.

I was going to say basically the same thing.

What if Corey Coleman has been bad because he had two freak hand injuries and incompetent QB play?

You know... I could probably deal with the hand injuries, it's his hamstrings. Constant and consistent issues for him. Plus the times he was hit in the chest and etc and didn't make the catch, there's no one to blame but only Corey himself. No separation... that's on Corey too. No denying though, some of the bad QB play isn't a helper either but I feel Corey's issues are mainly that... Corey's issues.

Quite frankly, I think if he wasn't babied and limited in practice, not in rehab/on the sidelines on the bike and etc - he probably would become a better WR.

No. Their only loyalty is to themselves. Just like any other person in any other profession.
