I saw them live. One of the best shows I've seen by a country artist. All fine musicians with a lot of talent. I'm just glad it appears our posters aren't talking about Rosanne because of her political views the way you and others treated the Dixie Chicks over theirs.

Their music isn't too bad and I don't even like Country. I have no problem with what they said about Bush and that's their right to say it. And I respect them for it. P!nk does some of the same things, and I respect her too. She has a song "Dear Mr. President" that is quite good. The conservatives don't like it when liberal stars speak out against their president because the truth hurts.

We agree that Nugent is an idiot, and that's mostly because of his political views. But the man is a talented guitarist. That used to count for something with me, but not anymore. But I still think Stranglehold is one of the coolest songs ever written!

Agree! That's what I was trying to say with my post, is that they really did poke fun at it all and show how crazy both extremes are. I thought it was done well, yet some "writers" in "media" still will try to take shots because she simply supports trump.

My wife and I are both libs, and we laughed when they poked fun at either side too. It was funny. Kind of nice to have a laugh for a change.

How soon the GOP sheep forget. Rosanne's being disrespectful to our servicemen and women by the purposeful butchering of the National Anthem on network TV. And now she's their new hero while they dis football players for taking a knee and the Dixie Chicks for their stand on the Iraq war that GWB started by lying to Congress on WMD's. Hypocrites!

CNN'S take was not that interesting. However, NYT gave Roseanne a better rating than Will and Grace. Does that still make it part of the liberal media?

It wasn’t too long ago the conservative right TV viewers were all up in arms about Tim Allen’s show getting canceled because of, they claimed, Tim’s political views. Yet here’s Rosanne, openly supporting trump, yet getting ratings, good reviews, and being picked up for another season.
So which is it? Does the ‘liberal media’ hate conservative based sitcoms, or not?

You do know that Tim Allens show was the second highest ratings getter for ABC right? On a Friday night no less.

It was a good show. A tamer Archie Bunker.

They also hate Hollywood elites talking about politics, but can't stop tripping over Tim Allen and Roseanne Barr.

I don't celebrate any so called celebrity's politics, republican or democrat.

These "celebs" might agree with me, or not. I could list off a bunch that do, and a bunch that don't. And really, the last thing any of them will do for me is change my opinion or affirm my opinion.

That’s kind of my point though. Allen got cancelled for reasons outside of his political stance. Which at the time the conservatives were blaming it solely on that. He had ratings. He had his political leanings. Rosanne has the same yet her show lives on.
My point is/was Allen’s political leanings didn’t get his show cancelled. The ‘leftist media elite’ wasn’t out to get him.

Your point is against yourself. TA had ratings and was cancelled because of his leanings. What other reason would you cancel your 2nd highest rated show?

Roseann we will see about, its aired 2 episodes. And they are playing both sides of the political spectrum, Allens show did not.

Because shows cost money and the longer they run the more money they cost to make. It's the same reason why many shows don't last 7+ seasons.
