Just for reference for those not paying attention to the board mock, here's who went 1-3
1) Browns - Sam Darnold 2) Giants - Saquon Barkley 3) Jets - Baker Mayfield

shoot, I'll just go with Fitzpatrick, though it's wrong to take a defensive player this early in the draft.
is there anybody on that list that's not a Qb or a defensive player.

Mike McG is the top rated OT in this draft. I know you wanted Orlando, but he should be there at #33.

I took Chubb because a DE rotation of Chubb, Garrett and Ogbah makes every defensive unit on the field better. You will be surprised at how good our secondary looks when we are harassing the QB whenever he drops back to pass.

I think Roethlisburger and the Steelers are counting on the Browns' Defensive end to be coming to the quarterback. It hasn't worked since Kamerion Wimbley, it's more of the same, but this board wants it , so mark it down.

Nobody feared Kamerion Wimbley. He had one move, to duck his shoulder on the outside rush, and LT's learned to just ride him out of the play. But they will fear Garrett, Chubb, and Ogbah. Browns' pass rush will rival the best in the league if we have those three.

We need good secondary players ... what a NOVEL concept ... actually STRENGHTEN the position of need as opposed to bringing in someone who is a GREAT PLAYER but will amount to a situational guy for us ...
It makes NO SENSE to me what so ever ... and save it .. i understand the value of a pass rush ....
i want the BPA FOR US ...

And I say that if you have a dominant pass rush, your suspect secondary becomes good. Its how things work. Nobody can cover for 5 seconds.

Last years polls did not get more than 29 votes in 24 hours, there is a 9 vote deficit with 19 votes in, which Fitz would not make up, so give the pick to Chubb and move on. This thing always got hung up on Browns picks which took too long last year. Two years before it went much further along when someone just selected for the Browns and moved on with it.

Based on how this played out, it's between Chubb and weighing offers from teams that want to trade up for Josh Rosen. Since the latter isn't an option, I went with Chubb.
